Yay cathie, well done. A little boy to add to your brood. Well I'm still not sure. I did a test this morning but not an early detect one and I think there was a very (very, very) faint line so still in limbo land here. Will have to wait to test until later in the week (or buy a new early detect one ;) ) but shhhhhhh not telling anyone yet lol
Kim congrats does that make 6 for you too. :wiggle:
cathie
Yes cathie it does. I tested again this morning and got another faint line so I guess that means that I'm officially UTD :) Worked out that I'm due about the 7th May 2011.
hey crazy but do i belong here.... Is 4 a large family??
Congrats Tegam on number 5. Are we crazy having soo many kids. Anyway Hubby went away to NZ for a week and left me with 5 kids, it has been fun. I'm preggo with number 6 and I wanted another after this little bubba but I have changed my mind I think 6 is enough. Just trying to look after these kids all by myself has been soo much work.
cathie
I so hear you cathie. DF went away on a school camp for only 3 days and left me with the tribe of 5. I'm sure now that this new one will be the last one too lol.
Welcome Tegam to the larger families section.
Hey girls I have 4 little ferals do I qualify as a large family???
You sure do nina. Welcome to our larger families natter.
hey Kim B, How are you?
I'm well I have 7 weeks to go how quick has that gone.
Cathie
Hey Kim B, How are you going?
I have 7 weeks to go.
Cathie
Not doing so well cathie. I got the results back from my NT and Bloods and I have to have another amnio. Very worried now as I'm again older and just think I may have pushed my luck that little bit with getting another healthy bub. I have a dr appointment on Tuesday so will talk to him then and see what the ratio actually was and if they used my dates or the scan dates. I always have bigger bubs and it changes the details regarding the NT results if they use the scan dates. I don't feel that anything is wrong but there is always that niggle.
Yay for you only having 7 weeks to go. How do you feel??? Over it yet lol??
Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies that froggie is ok. Just what I don't need - stress
Oh Kim big  from me, I hope everything works out for you. Try not to stress out too much I know it's hard.
Yeah I'm over it I had a scan last week and he was 5lbs 7 oz already. I hope he is not going to be too big. I've started my Xmas shopping will finish it next week as I could really go any time being my 6th.
Cathie
Thanks cathie. 5lb7 is a good size. DD3 was 7lb4 when she was born at 36 weeks so would have hated to see what she would have been lol. I have started the xmas shopping too but not sure what to get for some of the kids. We are cutting back on what we are spending on the kids because it can cost us a fortune (as you know). Fingers crossed we get good news from the amnio.
Yeah My husband keeps telling me to cut back, I said I will hahahahha.
But I can't help myself I just love Xmas, but I will try
When will you find out the results?
Oh I've been getting BH contractions all day today, I'm starting to remember that it really really really hurts. Oh crap.
Cathie
hey cathie, how are you? Have the bh calmed down yet?
Am just waiting for the hospital to contact me re amnio date and also should be hearing from them re first appointment to book in. It always makes it seem more real when you start seeing the midwives :) Where are you birthing and did you get into a birth centre. Were you classed as high risk?? I still have to have my gd tests done yet so next hurdle to cross. Take care and chat soon
Hi kim,
BH have stopped so I'm glad about that. I've had all my kids at Hawkesbury Hospital Windsor and No I was not classed as high risk I'm seeing the midwifes. let me know how everything goes. take care big hugs Cathie
hey Cathie, well I got in contact with the hospital and it was just as well that I did asthey didn't have my referral from the gp grrrrrr. Well now I have an appointment on the 23rd of this month for the amnio. Still haven't heard yet about seeing the midwives  but the countdown is on for me now lol only 24 1/2 weeks to go  Hope you are doing ok
All the best for the 23rd of NOV, hahahahaha 24 and 1/2 weeks to go I have 4 weeks to go :leap:. I have had enough now ready to pop. :bellygrowing:
Big hugs for next week.
Cathie
Thanks cathie and I thought you'd get a giggle out of the countdown lol. Only 4 weeks to go wow. (When your done I'll be half way.) I remember what it was like to be that far and just think "hurry up please I'm done" Seriously the more we have the less time it should take to cook them ;)
We had a tradie in this morning installing our new showerscreen. OH it makes a difference in the bathroom and yay no more wet floor. Best $500 I have ever spent.
DF is taking Tuesday morning off to drive me to the hospital and back again for the amnio. I think this will be the first time he has managed to do that. He will freak when he sees the size of the needle lol.
We have my granddads birthday party on the weekend and he is 90. I'm going to try to find him some nice, aged scotch but am dreading the price tag. Will have a look later today as the guy doing the showerscreen told me of a place to go and look.
Oh well enough dribbling on from me. Only a little bit more to wait and then I can use my shower :) noice
hey KIm.
Just checking in to see how everything went today?
Amnio done - check
waiting for results - check
got to see bubs again - check
Everything went well yesterday. No hassles at all. Just resting up now on dr's advice. Have my 20 week scan booked for the 13/12. You should have yours by then :) Will be looking for your BA xxx
Hi kim,
great to hear all went well. yeah hopefully I have bub soon, really soon.
Hi Cathie,
We found out that all is good from the amnio and that we are having another girl. We don't get the Brady Bunch :( but are not to unhappy about it. Just glad that Frogglette is fine and healthy. The countdown is on for you now. How are you handling the heat?? At least this one will be a winter bubs. Now to start picking out girls names (groan) I'm sure this little one is going to be tricky
I'm sooo happy for you that all is well :leap: A girl :leap:
The heat has been a pain but I'm ready to have my little man.
Big hugs
Cathie
If you lived closer you could swim in our pool lol. I have finally gotten DF to clean it out and fix it and fill it back up (which it is slowly doing). I'm so looking forward to wallowing in the pool on the really hot days and nights ;)
Hope your little man makes his appearance soon
Take care hun xxx
Hi Kim
We have a pool but I don't swim........
Well do you have to buy anything for your little one? How many weeks are you now?
cathie
Hi Cathie
I am now 17 1/2 weeks and yes I will have to buy stuff as my other girls were summer babies and this one will be winter. I won't have anything to fit a newborn winter baby that is pink so shopping here we come :) although I am buying some stuff from ebay. Also using the op shops (love those). How about you and your little man. Have you shopped till you dropped lol or did you have stuff already???
Gotta go as I'm falling asleep and need my nanna nap
The twins where born in september so I have all Sam's clothes and I am lucky as I have two of everything so no Didn't have to buy much.
I have brought some new outfits as it's always nice to get some new stuff.
Cathie
Can i join... i have 4 skids, 1 DD and one on the way
Of course you can Melster but there is a thread for blended families to (I'm in that one as well :) )
Cathie - lucky you. Will go through the girls stuff but not looking hopeful. They were mainly in singlets and nappies as it was so hot so not many long sleeved anythings lol. As I said before ebay and op shops here we come. Are you feeling better with the rain as it has cooled things down heaps here. Still filling the pool up though as I know we are going to get super hot days where I live. I had my dr appointment yesterday and everything is ok. I got to hear bubs heartbeat again (164bpm) so reassuring isn't it when you hear it. I keep thinking that something is going to go wrong with this one - don't know why - so any little thing is a good thing. Have my booking in appointment next Tuesday at the hospital so will find out then if I can birth the way I want or if I will be classed as high risk. DF has been told by his sister to go to some parenting classes this time lol as he was a nightmare with the 1st natural birth and loved the c/s as it was so easy ON HIM :o With the 1st one he was reading the book on how to support in labour while I was in labour lol not very helpful but then we had some bad experiences at the hospital and he was reacting to those more so than the birth. Aren't men wusses lol.
Gotta go as my girls are fighting grrrrrrr
hey Kim,
Still Here......... waiting, waiting, waiting.
I'm due on Sunday.
cathie
Good luck Cathie. Will be waiting to see your BA :) Hope you have an easy (you know what I mean lol) birth.
I had my booking in appointment at the hospital yesterday and I am now under the care of a midwife team that specialises in VBAC's. I can't however birth in the birth centre or have a water birth :( but can negotiate on certain things like monitoring (poop) I have my big scan next Monday and then my next appointment is the 4/1.
Hope you are handling the heat ok and that bubs comes on time ;) Take care hunny
Hi Kim
Still waiting, waiting, waiting..... he is just happy to stay put.
Cathie
I'm still waiting to read your birth announcement :) C'mon little man mummy is waiting to meet you
Hi Kim
All booked in for Monday 7.30am to have him. Had an ultra-sound yesterday he is one big boy 9l, 15ozs.
cathie
oooooooooh Cathie. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you on Monday. Don't trust the ultrasounds re size as they told me that DD2 was going to be over 10lb and she was only 8lb 3 1/2 lol.
Hey KIM
Had Charlie on Sunday Morning at 4.04am. He was 9l 2ozs, 53cmL and 35Hc. Contractions started at 10.00pm. Didn't get my Epi, The labour was not the best as his shoulders got stuck, very, very, very painful the epi would have helped.
Anyway he is a healthy boy, I'm recovering slowly it will talke time.
How are you?
Cathie
Woo Hoo Cathie, Congratulations on finally having Charlie. He was still a good size though wasn't he??? Hope you are feeling better soon hun. Sorry you didn't get your epi  Did you end up needing forceps or having an episiotomy cause that can make you sorer.
I'm getting there. Nearly 21 weeks now and just trying to make it through xmas. Still doing the pressie shopping and running out of money fast and we only got paid today :o Will be at the shops so early tomorrow that they will probably not be open then lol.
I hope you have a great xmas and aren't too sore to enjoy it xxxx big hugs to little Charlie from me
Hey Kim,
Well no I didn't need forceps as the midwifes had to use there hands to pull him out, his shoulders got stuck under my pelvic bone, so I'm really sore and bruised. Was the worse labour out maybe it's my body telling me no more kids. The midwife could have given me an Epi as I was in lanour for 7 hours so it's not like I went really quickly. I hate the fact that the midwife has sooo much control with what happens and you don't have much say about it. I'm still angry about it I've spoken to the head midewife but I don't think they really care. Anyway I Hope you had a lovely christmas with your family.
Cathie xx
