Hope your little man makes his appearance soon

    Take care hun xxx

    Hi Cathie

I am now 17 1/2 weeks and yes I will have to buy stuff as my other girls were summer babies and this one will be winter. I won't have anything to fit a newborn winter baby that is pink so shopping here we come although I am buying some stuff from ebay. Also using the op shops (love those). How about you and your little man. Have you shopped till you dropped lol or did you have stuff already???

Gotta go as I'm falling asleep and need my nanna nap

Of course you can Melster but there is a thread for blended families to (I'm in that one as well )

Cathie - lucky you. Will go through the girls stuff but not looking hopeful. They were mainly in singlets and nappies as it was so hot so not many long sleeved anythings lol. As I said before ebay and op shops here we come. Are you feeling better with the rain as it has cooled things down heaps here. Still filling the pool up though as I know we are going to get super hot days where I live. I had my dr appointment yesterday and everything is ok. I got to hear bubs heartbeat again (164bpm) so reassuring isn't it when you hear it. I keep thinking that something is going to go wrong with this one - don't know why - so any little thing is a good thing. Have my booking in appointment next Tuesday at the hospital so will find out then if I can birth the way I want or if I will be classed as high risk. DF has been told by his sister to go to some parenting classes this time lol as he was a nightmare with the 1st natural birth and loved the c/s as it was so easy ON HIM With the 1st one he was reading the book on how to support in labour while I was in labour lol not very helpful but then we had some bad experiences at the hospital and he was reacting to those more so than the birth. Aren't men wusses lol.

Gotta go as my girls are fighting grrrrrrr

Good luck Cathie. Will be waiting to see your BA Hope you have an easy (you know what I mean lol) birth.

I had my booking in appointment at the hospital yesterday and I am now under the care of a midwife team that specialises in VBAC's. I can't however birth in the birth centre or have a water birth but can negotiate on certain things like monitoring (poop) I have my big scan next Monday and then my next appointment is the 4/1.

Hope you are handling the heat ok and that bubs comes on time Take care hunny

oooooooooh Cathie. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you on Monday. Don't trust the ultrasounds re size as they told me that DD2 was going to be over 10lb and she was only 8lb 3 1/2 lol.

    Hey KIM

Had Charlie on Sunday Morning at 4.04am. He was 9l 2ozs, 53cmL and 35Hc. Contractions started at 10.00pm. Didn't get my Epi, The labour was not the best as his shoulders got stuck, very, very, very painful the epi would have helped.

Anyway he is a healthy boy, I'm recovering slowly it will talke time.

    How are you?

Woo Hoo Cathie, Congratulations on finally having Charlie. He was still a good size though wasn't he??? Hope you are feeling better soon hun. Sorry you didn't get your epi Did you end up needing forceps or having an episiotomy cause that can make you sorer.

I'm getting there. Nearly 21 weeks now and just trying to make it through xmas. Still doing the pressie shopping and running out of money fast and we only got paid today Will be at the shops so early tomorrow that they will probably not be open then lol.

I hope you have a great xmas and aren't too sore to enjoy it xxxx big hugs to little Charlie from me

    Hey Kim,

Well no I didn't need forceps as the midwifes had to use there hands to pull him out, his shoulders got stuck under my pelvic bone, so I'm really sore and bruised. Was the worse labour out maybe it's my body telling me no more kids. The midwife could have given me an Epi as I was in lanour for 7 hours so it's not like I went really quickly. I hate the fact that the midwife has sooo much control with what happens and you don't have much say about it. I'm still angry about it I've spoken to the head midewife but I don't think they really care. Anyway I Hope you had a lovely christmas with your family.

Cathie that sounds horrible. A great big OUCH for being stuck under the pubic bone. I hope you follow up with your complaint as some midwives just get so complacent with their job and think you know nothing. I know we are not having any more after this one as 1. both DF and I are getting to old lol and 2. I don't think the body can take any more.

We did have a lovely xmas and the kids enjoyed themselves immensely. Hope yours was good and that you weren't in to much pain. Huge hugs hun. Hope you feel better soon xxx
