THANK YOU!! I am so glad that me feeling upset is justified... I am feeling horrible about this pregnancy as it is... feeling sick coupled with a very unplanned pregnancy is really making it tough. Then I get comments like this... I feel like bawling!
I know how you feel - it hits a button when you are still coming to terms with the pregnancy yourself, to have people say such awful things.

When I was having #5, I was having my hair done at about thirty weeks and the woman next to me asked if it was my first. No, I said, it's #5. "Are you Catholic?" she asked incredulously. INstead of being rude, I answered and said, "No, this is our "oops"". "Well that's what contraception is for!" she said. I was so upset I just cried for the rest of the day.

This one, #6, is a total oops too (careless, I know, but I love him, so nyah) and I was so nervous about what people would say. Then I decided that i would just not care, that I would announce this pregnancy as proud as punch and with a big grin, and if anyone was rude to me, or about it, I would say, "How incredibly rude!"

When my sister heard about my unexpected pregnancy, she was delighted for me even though I was upset. "It's a *baby*," she said.

Take care - I hope that you are able to come to terms with your pregnancy and enjoy it as much as you deserve to. You've had an unexpected person in your life and you'll embrace it and love it, and that's *great*. I'll celebrate with you!

Hugs to you hun, we have only had one comment so far which was just the other day, Mark was saying he has his 5th child on the way, Mark was then asked when is he getting the snip!!!!!!!!

We`re getting some strange looks when we`re out and about, I can feel people`s eyes drilling into me at times. I feel like saying they aren`t all mine but why should I have to explain myself.

Congratulations Tanya on this wonderful news!!!
How wonderful to be able to have 5 babies, I would kill for a 4th but age and finances have put a stop to that so I am very jealous of you.
I think this "person" on FB should be deleted immediately and you should take one of the great suggestions about what to post on your status LOL

it never ceases to amaze me how we as human beings can be so thoughtless at times - from the minute we get engaged - "so whens the big day" to the moment after your married "so will we being hearing the pitter patter of little feet any time soon?"... and then there's the "so you two gonna have kids?" if there is a delay in spitting a child out as per everyone's assumption that its what your supposed to do - moving onto the moment you have delivered your first born "so are you having any more?"... and if you happened to be "lucky" enough to have a boy and a girl "the pigeon pair" you apparently don't need to have anymore.... which moves onto the comments about "wow - your pregnant AGAIN???!!!"

Tanya - I can completely understand you feeling hurt - its just rude - especially in such a public arena such as facebook.

And congratulations are in order!! (Thanks MrsMac!)

I was at a market when a family walked past - 2 in the pram and 3 beautiful children walking alongside. It was weird, people stopped to watch them walk past. She stopped and yelled "YES they are all ours and NO we haven't finished yet"!
    It was great.

Congrats Tanya on the news of #5.

I have just had my 5th and even my family are now saying "you better be done". I am starting to feel clucky again lol so they might be out of luck. DF is booked in to get the snip but might have to tell him to put it off for a bit lol. I love all my children and they think it is great to have so many others to play with (eldest is a bit put off sex now phhheewww). It is chaotic in our house but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tell this so and so to sod off and mind her own business. If you want a big family then go for it. Actually in times gone past you would have had a small one lol and again not the norm. Don't forget everyone is an individual. Best of luck hun

I have heard my fair share of comments about having more than the alledgedly normal amount of kids, but never anything that rude and vulgar.

TBH, If it were me, then I would have been so livid, I would have wanted to smack her in the chops and the fury would have me typing feverishly with my own brand of nasty. But the beauty about the typing is it is the therapeutic bit. Hitting submit is one step too far.
So before that happens, I would delete all the nasty and just add "Charming", which is my new favourite word for "You make me sick you pile of gutter trash".

#5 was a surprise package for me too. You think you can't cope. You stress like crazy. You suffer the indignant comments and soul piercing stares. None of it matters when you hold that tiny baby in your arms and remember what its all about. Despite all my reservations, I am so very close to my little Harry. Congratulations on your little #5, and I look forward to your posts of pure joy, because I know that in the end, that will be the bits of your day you will remember.

    Smile Negative comments hurt

Hi, I'm new but just had to reply to this one. I find that having comebacks helps a lot with the negative comments. Just be brave and say it - makes you feel better I swear! I had a lady (and I use that term lightly) remark on the size of my family - I have 7 soon to be 8 in August. She has 2 children and was being rude about the size of my family - going on about of all things the impact on the environment and making a lot of assumptions about my marital status and employment etc.

I simply said - "Thats ok, I understand, If my kids were as pig-ugly as yours, I'd have stopped at two aswell"
