I hear you, but from my experience, kids who aren't expected to have any manners at home (or to respect their parents or share or respect others' property or whatever) aren't going to respect their teachers or obey any etiquette rules taught there ...

so definately have it reinforced at school, but start it at home ...
Yep - those not taught at home don't use appropriate manners at school and when they get to high school it's too late for some of them. Mind you a lot of parents seem to expect teachers to teach their children things they should be teaching their children
