Tinks nothing wrong with wearing black to a Wedding ... i was thinking if it's kind of a casual feeling maybe they were hoping for more fun as in colours to wear (just a hunch) ... if you only have black to wear why not just add some colour with jewellery and maybe shoes that are not black (though that would be fine too)

Thanks Smiles! I always wear black, have done since I was a teenager. I don't even own colourful clothes

I'm going to go shopping tomorrow and see what I can find.

hey, Tinks if it makes ya feel better ... i reckon i have worn black to most Weddings i've been too ... If all else fails just wear your black and pop into Diva for some jewellery (that's if you like wearing jewellery), they have a nice ** aqua colour ** range called ALOHA (i bought the Stain Glass Earrings, gorgeous on & very light to wear), even have a look on their Diva website before shopping (they have a huge sale on at present), it even gives you an idea of what jewellery looks great together ... (i love black & aqua together, makes for something different)

I would wear black also, but only for an evening wedding. If it were me, i would wear a dress and killer heels - but i'm a girly girl and love any chance to get dressed up. I'd also rather be over dressed than under dressed, esp for a wedding.

It's an evening wedding with a rock band!!! The bride isn't wearing a traditional wedding dress and it does state casual on the invite.....

I've been shopping all day and no skirts or dresses I tried on did me any justice. So I've decided on pants.

After trying on clothes all day (and annoying my kids in the process) and not buying anything this is what I've almost decided on. Black pants, dressy black singlet top with a hint of silver and a black cap sleeve bolero to cover the tuck shop lady arms. Do you thik that's OK? I seriously have NO idea but it looked good on.

Next question.....Do you think black 3/4 trousers would be alright or should I go full length?

    .......... sounds really nice Tinks

I'd go 3/4 especially if hot night and wear a pair of sexy silver or black heels or mini heels with 'em (or long pants if coolish day ??)

Tinks what date is the Wedding ??? (there's a reason i'm asking )
