When I still lived in the Melbourne I did not have much problem with bumping into people from BB, now I have moved to a much smaller place, that is a little/lot more closed minded, I am very careful about who knows I am on BB. Too much chance for gossip and stuff to be taken out of context. I do sometimes ruffle feathers, just a combo of being a non-local and having a few different opinions They don't need to know what I say in AO

I've actually come across two, which is crazy because I haven't been here very long, but unless they say something to me specifically I will respect their privacy, and mine for that matter.

I do know of someone but they aren't on anymore. I never said anything & I don't really see them anymore, so would be pointless saying anything now. I prefer to be anonymous for myself, not because of them and their posts ITMS? I am careful what I post to some degreee anyway incase someone I know is reading my posts. I wouldn't want to divulge too much personal information on an open forum.

I'd love to know! A friend of mine joined a little while back, and it was kinda a bucket of cold water on me...and then I realised how awesome it was She and I share very similar views on everything, so it just added another dimension to our friendship. If it was someone I'm not that close with, I'd still like to know so that I could protect myself, making sure I put stuff in private forums.

meh. Whilst, I wouldn't particularly want all my family joining, and I wouldn't like for someone to join with the sole purpose of 'stalking me'; Most of my friends are on BB anyway, so it isn't a huge deal for me. I long ago gave up my anonymity when I started goiing to BB meet up''s.

I just remembered that I recognised someone I know locally on a US forum I use. Next time I saw her (it had been a while) I knew quite a bit about what was going on in her life but I pretended I didn't know any of it as I didn't want her to think I was stalking her.

I know a girl from BB IRL, and when we meet up we will chat about the kids and stuff but we sort of have an unspoken rule that whatever is on BB stays on BB and unless we bring it up in person then it is a no go zone

If it was me, I'm not sure if I would say anything.. It depends on our relationship IRL. If I was around her a lot I'd say something, but if she was just an acquaintance I probably wouldn't. If someone met me and knew me from here I would want them to say something.. I'm a pretty open book IRL as well as here, it probably wouldn't bother me, but I guess it would at least give me the choice to censor things I share on here if I felt I needed to.

Some of my BBs are now FB buddies too. We went through a lot during our pregnancy together and it's wonderful to stay in touch and share updates on our little ones.

I don't mind posting things on here that I don't want known IRL because I know that what's said on here is, well, sacred in a way I guess. I mean I can speak my mind without fear of judgment. There are things I would NEVER post on FB but I have been known to post a "BBs I need help" on FB!
