    Change of Clinics

Would you help me please? I am considering a change of clinics and wonder if anyone has feedback on City Fertility in Melbourne that they would be willing to share. I think I would be seeing a Dr Wilkinson if I make the move.

To protect BellyBelly from potential legal action for libel, could you please PM any feedback to MrsK and not reply to this thread with any negative feedback. Thank you.

    Hi all,

I wonder if anyone on BB has been to City Fertility ? With the changes coming into effect on the 1Jan 10, I am very keen to optimise my chances, and would like to hear from anyone who has had an initial consult, or cycled at CF, could you please PM me.

    Thanks

just wondering how many people have changed clinics?

How hard was it to get your tests done sent to the other clinic? Do they even do that or do they tell you that you have to get tested all over again.

    Changing Clinics

I changed clinics. My new FS was not interested in my previous history as far as # of eggs and % of fertilization. I was told it didn't matter.

I was also bulied into cancelling due to the assuption that due to my age, the folicles were probably empty.
I resisted this negativity this month, got a mature egg in every follicle and amazingly all survived and 2 were transferred recently and the rest are as normal as can be determined by the embyologist and are now waiting for a FET at a later date.

I will be moving the frosties to another clinic when I need them /if I need them .

If my FS has been at all interested and if I had not been a coward and allowed this to happen months ago,I would have felt a lot better about myself and this tough process.

They would have known it was highly unlikely for me to have a LOT of eggs but would have seen that several times, all follicles almost 90% seen on US before EPU have been found to have mature eggs and nearly all fertilize and only a few 20% were disgarded due to no response to fertlization or abnorml response.IF they had only read my previous recent(2 months ago) history. Some people have drastic catastrophic failures from one month to the next, but to assume because of my age and their negativity, to put me through that was awful.Never again will I allow that to happen.I nearly cancelled the collection after my nurse was giving me the 'kind of hopeless' business. Neither she or the FS said anything nice or positive about the end result.3 dt of 2 embies. I'm not looking for a friend, just a FS and staff who are professional and not negative.Reality is fine but this was too much..

The moral of this long and probably boring story is....If you are not happy with how you're being spoken to, treated, look around for another FS.All you have to lose is a little bit of phone time .If I had listened to the negative crew, I would be in a vry different place today. There are no guarantees but one...if you don't try something, nothing will happen.

Stand up for yourselves girls. No matter how good and nice your FS is ...no one is perfect. You can be as soft spoken and polite as a fluffy kitten and still be heard and worked with.

Well Done HolyMoly - must be so good for some positive things to come your way. One thing we can't lose is 'Hope' and if you ever lose hope...go find a good, trustworthy hypnotherapist..I did and it restored some hope...however my results lately I think my hopes may be a touch high!

These clinics are so busy I'm beginning to lose faith in the system. I can only hope that their labs are running perfect! - that's the important part.

Has anyone considered doing cycles with 2 clinics??!!!...ie..one cycle with a FS at MIVF and if that fails, do the next cycle with a different FS at say MONASH and basically alternating clinics, FS and treatment plans. Thens its whoever hits the jackpot!??
