Lucia, different clinics work differently. I'm in a similar position to you - I do natural FETs with no luteal phase support, I've had one pregnancy (later lost at 9 weeks), 2 chemical pregnancies (full pregnancy symptoms, AF arrived on time, trace amounts of HCG present) and one flat out BFN. My acupuncturist believes that I may have a progesterone issue - particularly because I tend to spot for a few days before AF starts on the chemical pregnancies.

It's one of the reasons I'm heading back to see my FS before we do another transfer. I've had no testing to check just what my P4 levels are like post-ovulation, though.

Yes I am learning that different clinics do different things. Some women seem to get monitored the whole way through their 2WW. Constant BTs to get Beta counts, Prog Counts, etc etc

The nurses at your IVF can do a Prog test for you if you what it done. You have to go 7 days after you ovalute. I just rang the nurses after the girls on here told me and asked them and they were happy for me to go in there. Mine was 40 (I think) which is apparently within the normal range on a normal cycle.

As chemical pregnanices are my issue too, my last recent transfer, my ob did the test Day 7 after transfer because that was something he was concerned about. (But I have been abit lazy chasing up the results - the results are there but I haven't gotten yet - I just needed some time out. Will chase him next week though as I want to see what he says before I try again) I hope he included Estrogen levels on there as I want to know what they are as well.

My FS isn't concerned with Prog with me though? Something is going wrong and it is damn frustrating!

I'm having blast transfers - they usually go back in on day 5 or 6, so I should have asked them to do a P4 test at my last transfer. I was too shaken up by losing yet another defrosted embryo so I completely forgot. That's our other problem - hyperstimulation that prevents me from doing fresh transfers, but also impacts on my egg quality so we have major issues getting them out of the freezer and surviving!

Do you mean on a normal cycle or when you have had a transfer?

My ob is going to ring me this afternoon so I will let you know anything was picked up on 7 after a transfer.

sorry i wasn't clear (i have a million things going on in my head at the moment aaahhh)

When i spoke to my clinic with regards to checking my P4 level before having a TF she told me that it doesn't really work when having a day 5 tf and only gives the reading that they are wanting on day 2 or three

Sorry i hope that makes better sense

Ahh - OK so that is for a blastie. I have only had 3day FET so maybe thats why they can test me. I just spoke to my doctor and my HCG was very low again but my Prog was within the normal range though it could have been high than it was but given that the transfer didn't work - it explains why my Prog was what it was.

He said he didn't understand why my FS didn't have me on Prog after a transfer but that he didn't want to question him as he was the FS and knows what he is doing!
