    Lou,

we had considered doing an FET in April this year, so that I would be at least in the 2nd tri when we left for Egypt in July, if we were lucky enough to fall pg. My FS laughed when we told him we would not do a transfer after April because we didn't want to fly in the first tri. He reckoned it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.

I still didn't do it though.

Just found your reply - thanks sushee

Dont know how things are going to pan out at the mo as im CD37 today and still no sign of AF. I know that will will not do a cycle this time but hopfully with the next cycle but am affraid that this might be my last cycle befor London (Dec14th).

Ill just have to wait and see - i really dont want to do a medicated cycle but it may be that we have to.

just found out today my closest friend is pg - so happy for her but a little sad too

    Hi Lou
I think you deserve a holiday! Why not do it all..if the doc says it's ok. What an awesome way to start your pregnancy...together on hol's...sounds great!
Hope you're doing ok with your friend being pregnant...did she tell you 'nicely'...IYGWIM?

I was told you shouldn't fly early in pregnancy, up until to 12 weeks. But I put it into google it it seems to be safe.

    Hi Loula,

I would go with what your Dr says, after all they are the experts.

Good luck with anything you decide though.

I have just finished signing all the paperwork for our next and final(?) cycle.
Will be doing a FET in Nov/Dec with transfer 7/12. Fingers crossed.

My little family (hubby and 4 year old) are flying to North America in early December, so I understand your concerns very much so. I am currently on the 2ww and have 2 embryos left after this, and plan to have one more FET before we leave. This trip for 2 months means alot to all of us (Xmas with family) so I guess it is important just to stay as relaxed as possible, drink lots of water, and get your partner to do all the lifting of luggage etc.. Also, just rest and sleep as much as you can when you get there. Eat well - fresh food.

I think there are FAR worse things to do while in the 1st trimester !! Go and have fun !

    Hey Loula,
as my name suggests, I work in the industry and I would go with what your docs say. Most airlines I've worked for have no issue with flying when you're pregnant. Often the rule states you can fly up to 28 weeks without doc letter, between 28 and 32 you provide a letter from doc, stating it's a single pregnancy, without complications. After 32 you can't. If your docs happy with it, don't miss out

Saying that I know one carrier in Oz that allows their cabin crew to fly themselves v. late into their pregnancy.....that's stupid as they're primary reason for being on board is safety of the passengers - and they'll be naturally thinking of themselves and their unborn if there was an emergency...but I digress!
