Ferrals4 i know the threads in here can be so daunting, thats why it took me so long to start using this site, because every time i read the threads i'd cry and convince myself it wont happen for me.

Just try to see the threads as a place for support and venting, and remember there would be alot of ladies out there who were in our situation who aren't on here to boast their success!!

Thank's jaki80 i know you are right i am just in a panic at the moment but i did get some good new's today i got my DH sperm test result's and the FS said they are excellent 120.5 million per ml and 507.65 million total motility 67% and morphology all normal so that is good i diddn't think it would be a problem as we havn't had a problem conceiveing but it help's to know his swimmer's are good quality.

Motherhood-how are you going i hope all is well.

Onja-ive been thinking bout you i hope you are planning your next cycle.

    Hello to everyone else.
I'm going insane with the waiting i'm glad i will be working a lot of hour's this week.

    Ferrals

Look behind you girl... cause although you might not feel it right now - you have come so far!!!

There is a lot of cancelled and negatives here but I guess we all want to rant and write more about the bad. Prob lots of people with positive results that would feel 'bad' about posting their good news. Also I did get a partial take (think they call it a 'chemical pregnancy' which I was upset about but my acupuncturist said is a good sign as it shows 'It started to happen' hoping the next time -- it will uhh get with it. I have never been pregnant before and am 36.. reckon my body was a bit in shock that it was actually happening

Got a call from the receptionist at Dr Burmeister's clinic (my FS) and they are saying something about me having to wait till she comes back to start my next cycle (Oct 12th). Ahh don't these specialists know we are all thrying to do this before the year runs out I am thinking of changing FS

Hope everyone is is doing ok

Hi girl's AF here so i'm over my hormonal crisis i feel better today thank's.

Onja-you are right i should think about all the positive's having a chemical pregnancy is a good sign hope the next one stick's for the long haul and i know what you mean with the FS taking there time i rang to talk to mine and 2 day's later i get a ph call to say they are sorry for taking so long but they are swamped with people trying to get in before january to have there frostie's transfered our cycle's cost twice a much if not more and with pgd chance's of having enough uneffected embryo's you think they would speed it up a little i'm trying to push for oct so if it fail's we might make it in dec for a second go

    Hey ladies...
Just a quick note to touch on what ferrals said about getting in before Jan.... i got a letter from my FS today about the changes and how it'll cost heaps more for IVF esp with PGD. Im sooooooooooo cranky!!
I dont understand alot about politics or what the gov does but it seems so me for an 'underpopulated' country who pays people baby bonuses so the population rises, which is some peoples main reason for having kids, want to make it harder for us hard working decent folk who need a helping hand!!
    Any thoughts??

Jaki-when all this started i emailed all the local pollie's and then emailed kevin rudd to give them a bit more info on pgd ivf patient's the way i explained it (i will give a shortened version) when we found out that abbi had some pretty servere abnormalitie's we had a lot to consider with multiple surgerie's possible life support for a period of time ,long term therapy ,permanant care and assistance with feeding respite care and a hugeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! amount of medical cost's after our head's were filled with all this and more it was just not fair on abbi what i said to the pollie's was if we had continued the pregnancy the government would have footed the medical cost's and care for abbi's entire life and then i would have had to give up work and go onto a carers pension (more government money ) so i said what would be more cost effective to the government to help people like us have healthy babie's at a small cost to the government or to get pregnant natrually and risk having a very sick baby and then the government will have the massive cost of supporting that child and the carer's for the entire life of that child i can't understand how you can cut cost's to ivf we are a hard working tax paying couple who are trying to avoid the heartache of having a disabled child unemployed people get $5000 to have babie's if the government help's people like us in the future you will get healthy children who will eventually contribute to the community as tax paying adult's.
I could go on and on and on but i get to cranky i should have kept my email i would have attached it for you to read.

Good work with the letter!!! Im the kind of person who grumbles but doesn't complain

So sorry you had to go thru all that with your abbi, it must have been so hard. I was told years ago i could test my babies at 19weeks for my disease and have a induced birth abortion, but i think all these years later its fate that we cant fall pg and have to do the ivf anyway.

Meanwhile i also found out this morning the baby bonus is means tested!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we will not even get a small helping hand from the Gov there, what a bunch of a**.

Jaki-Now we know that DH and i carry the SLO gene which they can test for with a CVS we can fall pregnant natrually and test the baby at 11 week's and terminate at 13 week's if the baby is effected but i would like to try pgd first and avoid that stress if we can i was worried about the 12 week nuchal scan with abbi before we even knew there was a problem i couldn't imagine how hard it would be if i fell pregnant now and had to wait 12 week's to know if we could keep this one or not how stressfull the government should read these thread's and see the pain and suffering we go through why should we be put through all this bull#@#t when the technology is there to avoid it and this mean's testing is a bit harsh we get the raw end of the stick because we work hard and don't sit on the dole with our hand out we miss out on the benefit's somtime's i wonder why we bother to work our arses off pay our taxes i have to stop i'm getting cranky again the whole thing s#@t's me

How long has the test taken all up? Mine was only 12 weeks thank god, i've heard some tests take years to formulate.

Don't you hate how Doctors and scientist are all cruisy about stuff, its so annoying and it doesn't help us!!!!!!!!

we had a lot of the testing done through the hospital when abbi's autopsy was done so that has helped the ivf clinic but that started back in may the ivf got abbi's DNA and our DNA in late july so about 8 week's with them and they did say 8 to 10 week's as all the hard work was already done but i am pulling my hair out! i might miss oct and be cycling with you in nov anyway better go i'm on my dinner break from work have to get back
