Hey Joe!
Just a quickie. I used herbs leading up to my stim but they didn't make me feel sick :( I feel for you!! My TCM Dr suggested adding honey if it was too strongly flavoured. My own recommendation, not from TCM, would be to not take them on an empty stomach - not sure if that will help you at all but wishing you every bit of the best!

Sunbeam and Minnie - welcome and my heart goes out to you both. All I can say is never give up. I am sending you both the warmest wishes and luck with your cycles. All I can say is accupuncture, no sugar and healthy BMI. Before my last round which was successful I lost 5 kgs, cut sugar back (not out completely) and did G's accupuncture program.
Jbear and bf - how are you going?
Booboo and Joespratt - have are your cycles.
12 weeks this week and I have finally found an OB. Must say my first OB appointment was almost as traumatic as IVF round 1.

BF- Its just snacks im trying to cut back on, i would normally substitute with fruit but my acu man said no raw fruit or veg. Sultanas are sundries aren't they? So happy to hear u O'd in time....did u have transfer yesterday??
Minnie- I'm waiting for AF to arrive so I can start stim cycle. I had a Hysteroscopy & D&C on June and everything looks 'normal' in there so I started acu & FX this cycle gives us the golden egg! Good luck I hope ur journey is short but sweet, keep us posted.

Joe - I've used herbs lots I love them its almost like I can feel them working. Are yours the sort you have to boil up into a tea? I have those sort and I add lemon and honey otherwise they taste like mud :spit:

BF - How did the transfer go are you PUPO?
J.Bear - AF arrive yet? Mine is still thinking about it I think, starting very slowly! I think I must be about cd50 or so as I was on proygnova for weeks waiting for my ED to be ready. I hear you about wanting to get on with it already!!!
AFM - I should find out tomorrow if I will do EPU on 23/10 or 23/11. If it is the Oct one then other FSs will have to do my scans etc as my FS is away at a conference, if it is the Nov date then I will have to use Donor daddy's swimmers from frozen as he is overseas at that point! I hope I get the Oct date I really want to get on with things. The only advantage to Nov is that it gives me longer on my wight loss but I should still be down a total of 8-9kg even by the Oct EPU.

JBear, hope AF turns up for you soon! Yep sultanas are sundried, and very sweet, and room temperature so might do the trick for you! I buy the little kiddies boxes and always keep some with me, so good when you need a pick-me-up!
Sunbeam, so hoping you get to cycle in Oct, I know what it's like trying to juggle all these perfect dates around. Not far away!!
Jess, great to hear from you! I can't believe you are 12 weeks already, that is awesome!! Good luck with your OB, what was traumatic about the appointment?
AFM, yep I am PUPO! Transfer went perfectly, the embie thawed beautifully and was hatching, a nice tight bunch of the cells that become the bub. I'm trying to stay nice and calm, BT next Friday. I'm going to stay away from the HPTs until Saturday, which will be about when I started to get positives last time.
A question for all you girls who have been through a cycle, did your embies get tested on day 5 or 6??

Just poping in to say yippee to BF good luck, try to relax & think positive baby thoughts. Fx for you. Mine are tested after fertilization I believe it day 4 or 5 it all a bit of a haze at the time. I'll have to take note this time. How r u feeling anyway?
Joe - I do acu but not the herbs. My dad is part Chinese & he is always cooking up special teas & they do not smell very tasty so I feel for u. I agree anything to up your chances! Best of luck : )
AFM - AF arrived yesterday so I start tonight yay!!! Had a minor panic attack when I realize the gonal f was not in the frigde...I googled it & most ppl said it is ok as long as its not over 25deg. Any thoughts?

I am an idiot, I POAS this morning, of course it was going to be negative but I had it in my head, and I had a drawer full of cheapies next to my head when I woke up, so I did it (it was negative of course!). I will try not to test again until the weekend!! In terms of how I am feeling, I've been crampy since the transfer and tired, and my heartrate has elevated every day since transfer. I am feeling confident we will get implantation but just praying every day for a strong beta.
Hey BF I'm in melb so it's pretty cold here. Yeah I spoke to the nurse & she said its fine as long as I don't leave it in the car or next to a heater. Haa haa.
Oh no why did u poa, well try to hold out to the weekend. I only do it the day before BT but I think about it constantly! As for your symptoms they sound promising, are u working or do u take time off during ur tww?

Hahahahaah.... being the addictive personality that I am, of course I have been peeing on sticks, from about 3dpt!!! I got my first faint pos on 5dpt, and they've been getting nicely stronger. I am trying not to get too carried away because the chem last time was a devastation I have never experienced before and don't want to experience again. But, I think the lines are better and I am feeling much better this time round in terms of good symptoms. Last time I felt like it didn't work and was relieved when I started to get BFPs. This time I felt like it did work and the BFPs are just confirming that, for now. Does that make sense??
Anyway, beta on Friday and I usually get the call about 2 pm, I'll be straight in here with the results!!! Hoping for something strong. Thank you for asking :)

afm: as i said above i started injections so the clock is now ticking until egg collection, im aware things could go wrong at any stage so im taking one hurdle at a time

BF you are so funny - good luck for BT on Friday - hopefully Friday will be lucky for us both as I am booked in to transfer on Friday as well. To top it, it will be my birthday as well! Funny coincidence as the egg collection was done on DP's birthday for the first time around. Feeling very anxious. Belly is all a flutter and just hoping that the thaw goes well and it manages to stick. Not asking for too much now am I?!!!! Going to be a pretty full on morning with an accu session before transfer and one after. Hopefully I will be able to go out & relax and have a nice birthday lunch with my DP after all that is done.

AFM - I had my third BT & US today everything looks good for egg collection on Saturday! I have about 18 good size follies i've been told so FX they have some good eggs! Yay only three more needles! Haa haa I have gotten better this round i gave myself a few of the morning jabs, left some nice bruises tho!

J.Bear - That's a great follies count babe, there must be at least a few good ones in that basket full. Can I ask what FSH dose you are on? I have photos of my bruises from last cycle ;)

AFM - Feel like I am bringing up the rear here with everyone surging ahead, show me how its done girls :D. Just ticking along on the pill and working hard on my fitness. My back is not so good so am seeing the osteo on friday (gosh does anyone not have an appointment on friday?) Makes me laugh hearing about you girls letting DH do your needles, obviously I have to do all my own but even if I had a partner I don't think I'd want anyone doing them for me, ouch!
jbear: wow that seems so quick to have 18 follicles already ! only seems like you just started injections and you already have egg pick up booked ! im cycle day 8 now but only started injections on day 5 because my clinic sets the pgd date and works back from there regardless what cycle day you are on (as long as your levels are low).
sunbeam: just because i didn't want to feel left out on all the action im having a blood test tomorrow too lol friday is a busy day for this little thread :)

Minnie Yeah i was a bit surprised myself, I got good numbers in my last two cycles but have only ever ended up with one to put back :( so hopefully this is a good sign that the acu is helping and I will get more & better quality. So what day would you be having egg coll then? Sorry i'm not familiar with any other type of cycle.
BF- Best of luck tomorrow will be prayin for a nice strong result!

transfer went really well this morning. First hurdle overcome, lab tech said that the thaw couldn't have gone any better and embie had already started to show signs of its next stage. FX it'll stick for us!
thanks for the birthday wishes - had a nice relaxing day - even fell asleep at the accu after the transfer! :)

Thanks minniemouse & Bf I feel really crappy today. Woke up with a headache & haven't been able to shake it. Have slept most of the day. Do you think it's just a side effect from the meds?

anyone get ripper headaches on the progesterone pessaries? haven't used them before but been getting killer pain right across the back of my head and they are the only new thing I have been taking
Ohh sweet, hope you had a good sleep last night and are feeling better today? You could be having side effects from the crinone (I am guessing you're on crinone??) - I had AWFUL side effects from that stuff and will never take it again... You could also be dehydrated, have you had plenty to drink? Try warm water or weak herbal teas if you can handle it. If you're going for a fresh transfer you really need to stay as hydrated as possible. If you're still feeling terrible today, I would call the nurses Big XO.
As for side effects on pessaries - nothing compared to crinone. I am only on one per day, but have absolutely no side effects, and had quite severe side effects from crinone.
jbear: hope you are feeling better today, i'd say the headache is from the drugs used in the anaesthetic
joespratt: i haven't had a problem from the progesterone but im sure that is probably a common side effect
brightfuture: when is your next blood test ?
afm: i had my first scan today, last EPU i got 7 and this time i already have 18 follicles growing, mostly around 12mm so by monday i will be ready to pop ! i was hoping they would take me in earlier for EPU but i think they want to push me to get the littler ones to grow more to take them too, its going to be an uncomfortable week !
Hello! I am feeling so much better today thanks for the motherly love and concern BF & Minniemouse! Had heaps of rest and water yesterday, I started the crinone last night so it wasn't that but will let my nurse know if it comes back. Will also up my water intake for trf too :D should get some training on holding my bladder for transfer as I am terrible at that.
BF - how are you feeling? any symptoms for you yet? :loveshower:

Minniemouse that sounds really good (the follie size not the pain) hee hee all worth it in the end! Hope the next few days goes by quickly and as pain free as possible.
Joe i hope those headaches ease up for I've never had any real side effect until this cycle and i do crinone and not pessaries so i couln't say. I think there would be a leaflet on side effects though maybe you check that or ask your nurse?
Gosh I love having BB to chat to you all! We have decided not to tell anyone about this cycle and it's so hard not to talk about it when it's all that's on my mind. Most of my friends are single and don't understand what we are going through and the others have kids & can't relate. So I love you guys and thank you :grouphug:

afm: i was in agony on monday, don't know what was going on but i was thinking there was no way i could go through another week of that pain, funnily enough its been much better the last 2 days but i have been trying to do as little as possible
i had another scan today, i have more than 20 on the left and 4 on the right, thank goodness for the left i say ! although the nurse thinks only 6 of the 20 will fertilise as they are the biggest. so im all set for monday, will be interesting to see what numbers i do get
