Sara - I was going to put my 2c worth in for a "go for it" but looks like you've already come to that decision. Crossing everything that this is a much better cycle for you.
Thank you WTH, that makes a lot of sense and it's huge help. Hope you had a great christmas too.
I've posted in a few other threads as well and everyone seems to think "Go for it", also was very reassuring that some women told me about higher FSH numbers which still showed okay or even great follicle numbers. Talked it through with DP and basically we both can hear it ticking![]()
So I've taken a step now and will start jabbing tonight, please keep fingers crossed for me.
Have you already a date for your new cycle?
Everyone else hope you're enjoying the holidays.

Sara - I have every thing possible crossed for you, sweetness! No, I do not have a cycle start date yet. Am 7dpo (according to FF I o'ed on Day 20 instead of my usual Day 15 - was told the IVF might delay things a little). So if I am not UTD AF is due in about another week and then Day 2 BT and roll things on. So, perhaps just more than a week behind you. Will bealong with you through your cycle. Your FS now understands how your body is going to respond so this will certainly push along a lot better

PS:to Meredith, Cuddlepie, Buliej, Lisa, BW and anyone else lurking on this thread. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas
Thank you so much WTH and Meredith for your support, it means so much. Very scared that this cycle doesn't work out but trying to stay positive. Started jabbing yesterday evening and the first BT will be on Tuesday.
WTH hope that your Christmas activity worked out and you won't need another IVF cycle - otherwise looking forward to have you as a cyclebuddy.
Meredith - do you know when you'll be joining us? I have had a look at your pics - Logan is such a sweet boy.
CP - hope you're having a fantastic time with family.
Buliej, Lisa, Kmn, BW, Tam and everyone else hope you're having a good break and had a great Christmas.
Sara
Sara - Yay at being "on the move" so to speak. Hoping tomorrow's BT shows rising E2 levels. When is your first scan?
I am hoping to start another cycle around 15th jan. I don't cycle naturally so can't wait for AF to arrive but will time a withdrawl provera bleed for this time which is about 1mth post my last cycle.
Really desperate to start again as I hate the feeling of not DOING anything
WTH - hoping your TWW brings you a natural miracle. otherwise, at least the pain of AF can be eased by jumping straight back into another IVF. I will be about 1 week behind you so maybe between us three, we can get a trio of lucky BFPs!
AFM - really struggling with the whole TTC journey at present. So sad for every opportunity lost this yr - so much that "could" have been but instead I am left with nothing, not even the hope of getting pg without ART. Really just counting the days until another cycle starts.... at least that brings some hope
Hi ho ladies. Feeling a little merry with the dawn of a new year and a fresh start for all of us. Get lost 2008! Worst year of my life. Only thing that sucks about a new year is the prospect of another birthday
Sara - Happy to be there for youHow are you going? Have you done your first BT yet? When is your first scan?
Meredith - Hi hon. I hear you on the lost opportunities. There has been so much waiting between each MC for me to try again. Every month is an opportunity. Can't wait to start jabbing again as soon as next week. Love your idea of a hat-trick of BFP's for the New Year. Bring it on...
PS: I have been alcohol-free in this whole TTC business, and am now comtemplating a glass of champagne tomorrow night for NYE. What do you think??? Don't want to do anything to jeapardise my cycle that might start next week...
Hi girls
Let's go for the double hat-tick - called four in four and include cuddlepie's FET - we've all earned it
WTH - let's be merry tomorrow - I've tried to be alcohol free as well - don't think it's essential while TTC so think just go for the glass of bubbly - I had some wine on Christmas day. I'll have to go for sparkling grape juice tomorrow since I am already jabbing.
Meredith - hope Af arrives soon and you can put 2008 behind you.
AFM - Very happy E2 was 344 which the nurse was happy with, starting Orgalutran tomorrow and then scan and BT on Friday. I'll be going up to the mountains for one night to do some bushwalking so will be offline tomorrow.
Wishing you all an

absolutely beautiful New Yearmay all your wishes come true
Sara
Hi beautiful ladies, I am back....
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and did your bargain shopping....hehe...
Trying to catch up on everyone's progress and so can't wait for 2009, one more day to go...with all our 'lost hope in 2008', I hope this new year will truelly turn things around for us!
Sara, all sounds very well on track and I am praying hard that this is the cycle for you hun!
Meredith, hope 15th Jan will be here sooner and I am sure 2009 will renew your hope but totally understand where your head is at and let me tell you, don't start me on that either...all we can do now is to look forward babe...
WTH, good luck with your natural cycle this month. That's what we are going to do for now before FET in February. https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...lies/dance.gif
But to us, thinking of a natural miracle is a long shot, seems never happen to us for all these years but hey we will just have some New year celebration fun then! Also about FET, I just calculated the estimated TF time will be 5th Feb, my birthday, which is great. But then DH's English relatives have a week in Sydney and this one day they are free to catch up with us is 5th February, can you believe it? And I am suppose to host a BBQ lunch with in-laws as well! What are the chances!!!!All I hope is that AF will not be spot on 28 days this cycle, may it be 1 day early or later, just one day, I hope I haven't asked too much...
Well, that's me, back on the TTC wagon and counting the days, the little break during Xmas was really great! I have been drinking some rather nice French champagnes and Italian mascato...nice! Will be at a party tomorrow night for send 2008 off, so I am sure there will be some bubbly flowing...
Hope all your lovely ladies have a great NYE!![]()
WTH - I wouldn't worry about a bit of bubbly. A good GF of mine was doing IVF for over 8yrs and always very careful with alcohol etc. Decided to take a break from TTC and had a very drunken w/e at a winery...... 9mths later out came a very healthy little boy... go figure!!
Sara - E2 sounds great for only 2 nights of jabbing. hope friday brings you lots of great follies
CP - YOu always manage to sound so positive - good on you, I admire that.
Hope AF behaves this time so your tf can avoid such a busy day. Otherwise, I would really concentrate on your priority( ie baby) and maybe say you can't host the BBQ. Can someone else do it?
Have a great NYE BTW. Hope it washes away the negativity of 2008
Happy New Year everyone ... I've been lurking but not posting. I hope all our dreams come true in 2009!
Hi girls,
hope you all had a nice start of the New Year.
WTH Hope you had some nice champagne, Meredith hopeyou had a nice one too, enjoyed reading the story of your girlfriend.
CP: Your holiday sounds wonderful - about the FET date, that's really what's so difficult with IVF, makes planning basically impossible. If you can I try to keep my options open, agree with Meredith if there is a possiblity that someone else hosts the BBQ that could make things easier for you.
AFM Went to the clinic this morning for BT and Ultrasound, it showed 7 follicles, four of them of a reasonable size, so if everything goes ok from hereon may have about four to pick-up - that's not great but I am still very relieved as I only had two last time, soo thankfully sounds like my last cycle was just a bad outlayer. Just got the call from the clinic and they are not happy with one of my hormone levels so will have to go in and pick-up Pregnyl injections as well - means three injections each day.....
Sara
A quick "hello" and wishes for a fertile beginning to the year. As of Sunday I'll be on a week long holiday...computer free! So I won't even be a lurker! Hope I come home to see some great news from you all.
Sara -Great news for your improved follie number. Sounds maybe like your LH was low. I have requested Pregnyl for my next cycle for this very reason - improves quality and maturity of your eggies, so having Pregnyl can be a GOOD thing
Cuddlepie and Meredith - DH and I found a bottleshop with some imported beer with almost negligable alcohol - 0.5% per standard drink. So we felt like we were participating a bit more on NYE. We watched some fireworks and splashed out on some yummy Chilean strawberry fermented champagne (8%) as our big treat. YUM! I hope you had a great NYE cellarbration, too. Also, Cuddlepie - there seems to be a lot of energy around Feb 5. That date seems to have flashing lights: NOTICE ME, NOTICE ME. Gotta take that as an omen (a good one)
Buliej - have a great break
AFM - just waiting for AF. Not too sure when it will come. Warned it would most likely be late...
Good morning girls
WTH: thanks for telling me that, makes me feel so much better. Your New Year's celebration sounds great - Chilean strawberry fermented champagne sounds really yummy. Hope AF comes soon.
Buliej: have a grat break.
Cuddlepie and Meredith
AFM: I did somthing really stupid yesterday. The Orgalutran shots have a big airbubble in them and I thought I need to get it out before I inject it. The shot was a bit stuck and when I tried to get out the airbubble quite a bit of medicine came out too.
Instead of discarding the shot I was thinking that they cost $90 a shot and injected it - that's so stupid, would really hate it if thinking of $90 would mess up the whole thing for me. I range the emergency line for my clinic and the nurse said it's probably okay, that there is nothing I can do now anyway and that there is no need to get out the airbubble - really wish someone would have told me, the instructions in the packet say you need to get it out
Going back on Monday for BT and Ultrasound, please keep fingers crossed that everything is going okay.
Sara
Fingers are crossed here! It's hard - all the medications do make you stupid, but they do it in a way that you don't even realise that you aren't thinking as you normally would until you do something very odd (I droven into a pole in our carport and didn't notice).
Be very, very gentle on yourself for the next few days
hugs
Kate
Sara - the EXACT same thing happened to me on my 2nd night of Orgalutron shots, last cycle. I spent so much time looking all over the kitchen bench trying to calculate how much was lost and figure out how much less was in the syringe. The clinic assured me the next day that "a little bit lost" would not matter, and as it turned out, my LH levels stayed vertually negligable (despite the loss). I am such a perfectionist and try to get out every last bit of air, but it turns out if you do the injections into fatty places like your stomach, it does not actually matter if there is air in it. Apparently the air thing is critical if you are injecting into a vain or muscle. BTW - you are doing soooo well

Hey Sara, I am so happy for the progress you've had for this cycle, the little incidence like other girls commented wouldn't make huge impact on your cycle so don't stress hun...good luck with bt on Monday....everything is crossed for you...
WTH, good on you and DH finding sth that is yummy to drink, you guys are so good on the alcohol front. Dh and I thought we are going to give ourselves a bit break so didn't care too much what we drink really. DH's motto is 'diet starts tomorrow'...hehe...
Meredith, hope your spirit is picking up a bit in the new year and thanks for the advice on my impending TF. Yeah, I think you are right, I just need to make my priority right and everything else should make way for it if it doesn't work it out. At least I don't have to worry about it for another 2 weeks.
We had a lovely NYE party at a friends' place with a full harbour view watching fireworks, the guys at the party are all good company too which made it extra pleasant. We found that we can no longer go to those noisy parties anymore with no meaningful conversation involved. We are now another year older, being more selective and sophisticated is not a bad new year resolution really.
Spend the NY day on the beach and realized that I need some new cozies, so went and bought some today and going to swimming tomorrow!
to Kate, Julie and Lisa and anyone I've missed. I hope you are all feeling the positive energy 2009 bring us.
Hi Girls,
Went to the clinic to pick up pregnyl and have the first one injected already, apparently the 24 hours rule doesn't apply with the 1st one and will do all three tomorrow evening. It's actually pretty complicated as you have to mix it yourself, but we'll see....
WTH: Thank you so much for telling me, the nurse today also said that it's probably okay so not as worried about it anymore. Hope AF appears so soon, would be nice to be cyclebuddies.
Kate: Thanks for your support. It's really strange I thought that it all wouldn't affect me as much but then you sudddenly realise that that's not true, on the way back from the clinic after the Pregnyl shot felt really strange maybe like a hot flush or like I was having a fever and could only walk slowly. So I've spend the afternoon on the sofa. Was going to go on a bushwalk tomorrow but guess I'll just have to see how I feel in the morning and decide then.
Cuddlepie: Thanks for cheering me on. Your New Year's sounds wonderful, good on you for spending the day on the beach and going to the sales, we have the use the beautiful weather as long as we have it. I went to the Drummoyne pool a few times over the break, it's such a nice location.
Meredith: Hope you're going okay, not long now till your next cycle.
A good evening for all of you.
Sara
