afm- had a nuclear thyroid scan which showed thyroid still VERY overactive- not good news, need to wait and see what next blood results show in a few weeks now
hi guys just checking in. no news from me, still waiting for a donor. trying not to think too much about it and enjoy life - i am certainly busy enough between work, uni, gym and new hobbies that i have taken up.

FS went well, we can start immediatly, but our finances will have to wait for April or May. oh well it is all in place as soon as we get things organised.

Just looking for anyone who knows of success with Dr Gavin Sacks. We just did our first cycle with him, travelling from qld to Sydney for our EPU and ET. My BT was not due until Thursday but I did a HPT on Saturday (5dp5dt) which came up + but by Sunday evening I was bleeding. I went for a BT this morning just to see what the HCG will be.
Our problem is not getting blasts but getting them to stick. I was on 25mg pred and 20mg clexane but I believe it will be a chemical again.
Dr Sacks said it may take up to three cycles to work but would love to hear some success stories to keep us going. Hopefully we will be able to do our next FET straight away.
trea:sorry i personally have no success stories on IVF but there is a whole section on success stories in the LTTC threads. maybe you might find some answers there.

Got my BT results and my HCG is 46. So I guess not a chemical, the HPT was right.
I have to have another on Friday to check it. Sounds strange I know, but I am actually happy as this is the best result I have ever gotten and at least instead of having a chemical we had a pregnancy, albeit one that miscarried. We have never had a reading of over 20 so at least I know something is changing and we are getting somewhere.
Trea- glad you can find a positive in this, and hoping next time you get a pregnancy and it sticks around!
JBM- great news, glad you have a plan and meeting with FS went well

mummy2chloe: good luck to you. it is hard to keep on posting when nothing is happening, and we've had over 1 year break since our last FET march 09. i didn't know where to post for a while. keep on popping in here as it is good to have a chat even if nothing is happening.

Just a quick one to say we are back. Had a nice time O/s. back to reality and to sorting out things at what is left of work. We got an email from the silly govt to say that all our installers are appropriately qualified to work when the program restarts. Hello! They were all laid off the day they stopped the program. They have no idea!
DH has go his head in the right place and says he now sees it as an opportunity. Bless him.
FET on Friday. Doing lots exercise to get the kgs off I found in USA. I was margarita monster (esp after hardly drinking last few years). My friend says margaritas are like bossoms. one is not enough, 2 is perfect and 3 is too many. I always had 3!
Dh just gave me bowl of icecream - must concentrate!

JBM - Cant believe you are almost cycling again, it has been a long wait but it will be worth it.
Still waiting for a donor, called the clinic yesterday and now they are saying perhaps May for a donor - fun. We are using a sperm donor, and it is doing my head on all this waiting around! But nothing I can do about it so trying not to think about it all too much.
