Anybody out there...
JBM ~ hope everything is going well with your pregnancy so far! Congratulations again
Kimmi ~ all the best with your up-coming wedding!
AFM ~ kinda stuck in a rutt - had a few family issues lately, everyone around me - family and friends seem to be pregnant and we just keep getting BFNs. Havent done an IVF cycle in like forever and may be a while yet before we can do another. We are about to get our garage organised that we have been wanting for ages and then we will be able to start saving for IVF again - but how long is that going to takeAnyway must remain positive as people are saying im too negative - cant win.
I know we'll get there eventually I'm just losing so much patience. Sorry for the rant.
Hope everyone else is well!

Hi I am new to forums so I am not sure of what I am doing - learning as I go so I hope I am placing this post in the right place?
I have already gone through 2 antagonist ICSI IVF cycles at Sydney IVF and as I will be 42 in August, I know that time is well and truly not on my side. Is there any advise out there on which clinic/doctors have worked best for them? Whether using supplements like DHEA have helped? Can you do back to back ivf cycles or is it recommended that a break be had in between them?
Any advise at this time would be very very welcome. My doctor recommends that I just go through another ICSI antagonist cycle but I just feel like doing the same thing will only get me the same results = BFN.
Hi Shish,
I concieved on my 4th IVF cycle (all were ICSI as well as I was using donor sperm and to reduce the amount of sperm needed they always do ICSI). Anyway I did 3 full cycles and one frozen cycle. Got pregnant on my 3rd full cycle. I changed a few things for my final attempt: 1) I changed sperm donor, 2) had accupuncture before and after egg pickup and transfer, and 3) quit my high stress job (took up a less stressful one instead). I really think reducing my stress levels had the biggest impact on my success.
I was only 37 and a half when I did finally concieve though. 38 now and 7 months pregnant. My four cycles of IVF were spread out over 11 months. Prior to that I had spent 13 months doing donor insemination unsuccessfully.
Best wishes
Lori
