No, we tried the stim FET this time for something different.
Could've been that it just didn't work, & I've got Pregnyl still in my system.
My body seems to hold onto it a bit (in my m/c hung around for ages....)
Lou, P4 is progesterone

: info for Lou
Oh Tam. I remember when I got my HCG levels of 20. So many people told me that they had low levels and went on to have H&H pgs. So there is hope my friend. I have everything crossed.
Shazld- excellent news on bub on board. stick little bub stick!!!!!!
Loula- Good luck at the dentist. I think I rather put needles in my belly!!! hate the dentist.
As you know I went to my specalist on Wednesday. it was an Endocrinologist, as my FS just said get you levels down and come back! So went to my Gp as I need tests ect and my gp sent me there... Any way my blood sugar/ glucose is back to normal. My Thyroid- normal. So I am really happy about that. The only one that was not good was the Insulan.
3 months ago it was 36. It has come down to 20. But has to be 10 to be normal. My Dr said it just meant I was insulan resistant ( Isnt that what POCS is?) She told me that it was still to high to do IVF just yet, but come feb It should be at a better level.
I am soo happy that all 3 results have come down, as last time all 3 went up. But I can be honest ans say my mind has not stopped thinking. The Dr was so condridictive as what she told me last time. Which confuses me even more. I know I have alwasy had insula resistance. But never known the levels. I also dont know what levels I need to get at before I can do ivf per my FS. I just dont know weather to wait another 3 months and hope for the best or ring the clinic and see what they think. Am I just being impatient as I want a bubba and want it now? Going way doent really help either.
Does anyone know what there inulan levels are? ( mainly the POCS girls?)
so even though it was good news just not as good as I wanted!!!
Please take care everyone. See you all in 2 weeks. I lookforward to coming back to some good news!!!
Daisy
Things went well at the dentist thanks, although i need two vernears replaced as ive had then since i was 14!!
Anyway i just read your post and having PCOS myself i am only very slight, acording to my levels but that maybe because im not bing eating anymore and startinng to look after myself.(yes i suffered both anorexic and bulimia in my teens)Not that im saying your not im just telling my story. ......
Anyway years ago when i was 13 my mum found some info on trials with metformin and asked my Gyn to put me on it which he was a little unsure of as the trials had only been done in US...........so i went on it and was very, very sick ive been on and off it since then and now this time have been on it since i arrived in Australia, 4 years ago, although i didnt take it for my first two cycles and both times got BFN. I did take it for the next two cycles and got BFP (but m/c later)
Also...........my understanding is that if your levels are below 10 then you do not have PCOS, so what does the doc want you to do wave a magic wand!! we would all like our levels to be below 10 ....let us know your cure? (just so you know my levels are apparently 11 so like i said only slight PCOS .. i think if youve got something then youve got something no slight i still suffer the effects like sink, hair and did have excess weight)
Good luck
Anyway (i do like to go off the beaten trak, hit me) have you considered talking to your GP, FS about going on metformin as that will deff get your insulin levels down for sure (thats my understanding)
If anything it reduced my appertite and im down about 10 kg not that anyone would believe me, I know its sad but i never forget to take one as i know it keeps my weight down!very naughty of me to look at it like that but it has had an effect on my fertility too
All the very best and im hear if you need anything
bbl for personels as im off to work ....

: left my brain in bed!
Hi Girls, just wandering in and catching up with you all.
Tam - hope things are going ok for you over the weekend, it's a rotten time for you. I know a lady on another board who has P4 that just won't co-operate. At 15DPO it was 27 (beta 82), 17DPO dropped to 18.6 (162), it continued to just hang in there, at 29DPO was only 42 (14500). She's now 19 weeks pg and all is fine. Her RE told her it's impossible to overdose on progesterone so was up to 3 or 4 pessaries a day from memory. So, might be worth asking if you can try that?
Vicki - I know I drift in an out these days but, have you been waiting forever to cycle again? Blimey - must be driving you nuts!
Leis - how are things and how is your new home?
Sushee - great pic!
Keen - I hope you're taking care of yourself and have recovered. Take care kiddo. to all the ladies in here. Sorry for being out of touch with where everyone is at, having major problems at work Here's hoping you all catch that elusive BFP soon.

Thanks to you all for the good thoughts but I had 'the visit' today.
It was expected as I thought it was the pregnyl reading & not an embie. I think the P4 was too low for it ever to be a pg. (Sue, my last m/c I was on 8 pessaries a day!)
I'm going to make an appointment with the specialist to have a talk about things.
Vicki, glad your tests went well. I'm not sure on PCOS at all but seems good from what Lou was saying. Hope you enjoy your holiday which I'm sure will be involving many discussions on what to do.
Leis, hope you are all comfy moved into the new place now.
Big hi to everyone else, I'm off to bed now. Have to be up early to go in the BT. Mondays are always busy.
Sorry to stick my nose in here guys but just wanted to reply to VIcki's post abourt insulin levels. If you have had insulin resistance for as long as you say then it is quite likely that your insulin levels will be up. That should not prevent you from having IVF however as most type 2 diabetics inactual fact have hig insulin levels and have healthy babies. However, having said that, metformin is one of a group of drugs that increase your insulin sensitivity and can help your body to use insulin more effectively meaning that your body doesn't need to produce as much to do the same job. THis means your insulin levels to go down and reduces the stress on your pancreas. It is worth a thought as there have been many trials done on using metformin to aid in the treatment of PCOS and all have had very promising results so far. You may have to ask about it though beacuse it is a relatively new and less well known use of metformin so some docs may look at you funny when you first suggest it. Anyways just thought I would add my knowledge to the pot for you to mull over...HTH
cheers
Mel
P.S. Tam I am so sorry you have to go through another disappointing cycle. Its about time all us old farts retired to the pregnancy ark
Ooooh Tam, will cow AF how dare she play with your emotions... I hope you get to the bottom of it and find out about your P4 and why it is mucking up so much... look after yourself hun.. leis xx
Just ducking in to say hi to all you lovely ladies. I'm not posting as much because there's really nothing much happening for me at the moment. Just seeing a Naturopath and working hard at the gym to try and get as fit and healthy as possible - but I still duck in to check and see how you are all going - and to spread as much around as I can! We definitely need a new year full of graduates out of all the LTTC forums!
Hi all
just wanted to pop me head in and say that I am still here
started sniffin today - felt the effects allready. Felt withdrawn and clumsy, which is how I am when I get PMT - so looks like I will be raggy for the next couple of weeks. Have my first scan on the 10th of Nov to make sure all is quiet and hopefully start injections the next day. I am starting on 450mg of Pergon. I guess that I will be swinging in the hormones from one extreme to the other!
hopefully pick up with be around the 24th of Nov - our 10 year wedding aniversary! Whoo hoo! happy aniversary day. I will be all frocked up and no where to play!!! LOLOL
