1st time successful IVF and FET? Is it possible?

    Hi all,

We are thinking of going back for number 2 and I was wondering if anyone struck it lucky twice in a row? Is it possible to be first time lucky with a fresh cycle and then FET?

    Hi Amber,

I don't know specifially if this has happened to anyone, but I am sure it has. I have heard for successful fresh transfers and then subsequently successful FETs from the same batch. Eitherway I hope that you are lucky and it works first go (or second depending on how you look at it). GL

Hi Amber, I'm sure it's happened. Your next bubba might just be one of your frosties that is waiting for a chance to hop on board and start growing!

I wish you all the best.

    Thanks guys

I am just getting really paranoid that because we had such good luck the first time we have used it all up I wish I wasn't so superstitious

Thanks again and I will keep you posted if we go ahead with it

    Hi Amber,

It is definitely possible, about 3 years ago my bro and SIL went through IVF, had 2 embies implanted and had triplets. Then last year they implanted the last frostie and she is due in March. They did loose the other frosties though

that you strike it lucky too

    Hi,

I was wondering the same thing last year... we were successful with our 1st IVF cycle with 3 frozen embies back in 2007. In October last year we lost 2 in the defrosting and then had the third transferred with no luck. We have been successful with our 1st IVF cycle again though (yet to be confirmed by b/t but positive home test!).

I hope you have better luck than I did! When were yours frozen though? They have changed the way they do it with better success rates apparently.

    Good luck!!!!!
