Missy I meant what do you have to do now to have the 2 Embies put back? Hopefully you dont have to use sprays and things. What is the process for that? Will you still have to build up your lining? And supps? Sorry if it is too personal I am just curious, not that i should be thinking that far ahead I should just be focusing on this cycle! LOL
Smithy still going ok on spray, no headaches yet, thank goodness, I have had a breakout of zits though, looks like we are zit buddies!!!

    In 1st ivf cycle

    Hi all
Just popping in to say 'hello' to some fellow ivfers.
This is my first go at ivf - I start syranel on 4/7/07 - a day after you Smithy!
Spray is safely tucked away in my closet (right next to my folic). I'm in the
ACT so there is no need for the fridge (its freezing down here).
I'll be doing ICSI as DH will be undergoing TESA. Really nervous and excited about it all. Fingers crossed for us girls!

    Hi everyone

Randa - that is great news. I have my fingers crossed for you for Wednesday's scan - hopefully you don't have the roller coaster ride that I just had with scans and drugs needing to be increased, etc.etc. Anyway, the whole story is in the LTTTC & AC June 2007 thread if you want the details My EPU went well this morning - picked up one good quality egg and am now waiting to find out tomorrow afternoon how everything went, and what time I go in for the transfer on Monday! Until then, I am resting up after this morning. No really bad side affects - just a bit tired and bloated and not a lot of pain, but then I only had one follie so I imagine it might be a bit worse with more!

Anyway, everyone here, feel free to join us in the June 2007 thread sticky that is at the top of each page. There are some fantastic ladies (and a token gent ) there who can answer a lot of questions and share their wealth of experiences. Good luck everyone with your cycles and take care.

    Any1 in 1st IVF Cycle???

    HI Gals,

It's been a big fat 11 days since I posted...very remiss of me I know but at End of Financial year work tends to get in the way etc etc etc. Now where was I back then..Cancelled Egg Pick Up...well I am well and truly moved on from that, thanks girls for all the support it's great to be able to talk to people who know how you really feel.

On the plus side I was very naughty and had a big glass of bubbles for my birthday today! Still waiting on AF...has anyone else had to take the Provera after an unsuccessful cycle? I got through the Syneral and Puregon with no side effects but the Provera really hit me. I've got two more days of it so hopefully AF is here by then and I can start the Pill again! (Can I join the Zit buddies then?)

Anyway enough of life in my camp, it is GREAT to see how everyone has moved forward. Tan - glad to here AF arrived...(funny when we've spent so long trying to ward it off!) And speaking of - my fingers are crossed for your next ET Missy.

Blayz, Glad to here you are going okay on the Syneral -hope the Puregon is not too bad either.

Fi, let me know how you go, I had a dose of 200mg then 150mg and still had too many follies (which I just don't get!). But the Nurses did say that was good because at least they knopw I have the potential to produce lots of little eggies (Just not when I want the little blighters!)

To everyone having scans good luck - lots (but not too many) follies for you!

    Lots of babydust and stickyvibes

    Cheers
    Shel

    Hi everyone

Just a quick update - my transfer for this morning was cancelled. My egg didn't fertilise properly apparently, so now I am waiting for AF to arrive! I will make an appointment with my FS for this week to come up with the next plan of attack - back onto the horse again! I must be crazy!

Anyway, I have this week off so hopefully will be coping with the news a bit better by the end of it, certainly once I have a new plan and way forward I think I will feel a bit better. Take care all and good luck with everything.

AAaaawwwww Cheryl! That totally sux hun
Am so sorry it didnt work out this time. I will be hoping that you feel better once you have a plan of attack for next time round if thats what you want to do.
Sometimes I wonder how much one person can take when we have these set backs. But I guess we all endure what we can to reach our final wonderful goal.
I was considering giving up at one point and One of my friends said to me simply "do you want a baby?" when I replied "yes" she said "then you just have to keep going." And I havent forgotten that to this day, shes right I do have to keep going even thru tough times. I just hope that there aren't any more tough times for either of us! None of this will matter when we are holding our darling babies in our arms! Best wishes and I hope you are able to work out a good plan with the FS.

    Hi all,
Well, i first wrote in this thread back in early June, just before EPU when i was emotionally drained and the drugs were playing silly buggers with my head. There's been a few things since then but the ultimate today... my BFP BT result. It's proof that us 1st timers really can succeed 1st time around . I had some severe doubts, and DH wasn't keen on a second PESA if this round and the frozen emby were unsuccessful, but somehow we've been completely blessed.
And the basics of how we were told...The nurse rang and as plain as day said "Hi, it's Chris from WFC, i've got some good news for you, you are very much pregnant." I then stupidly responded "Yeah, i know i've done a few HPT's." She then said "Oh, good, well just to let you know, anything over 50 is considered positive in the BT, and you're at 1950 which means you are very much pregnant." I was so happy, DH was with me on the couch and we were both just half laughing & half staring at each other - i think it was some form of shock that it was actually clinically confirmed as opposed to a flimsy little piece of cardboard that had been sitting in my wee for a while!! Anyway, she then asked "Did you have 2 embies transfered?" Which freaked me out and i of course said "NO!" (as beautiful as 2 would be, we've never considered 2 ET's at the same time!!), and she just laughed and said that the 1950 doesn't mean that, it just confirmed i am pregnant, congratulations!

I know it probably seems so far off for some of you, it sure did for me. I thought there would be several attempts before we got there, particularly given the way some of the nurses and scientists speak (i.e. Oh, so this is only your 1st cycle then), and not to mention some of the stories on other threads which are really hard to read, but somehow it worked. And you know, if it worked for me, it can SOOOOO work for each of you.
I wish you all the best of luck in your journey's, i hope they are short and fruitful You have helped me through a unique period in my life, when i had very few people who knew what i was going through...and those that knew had absolutely no understanding, but you all do.
    Thanks and good luck!

    Hi all,

Well its been a few days since I last posted in here, but have been busy reading through everyones news.

Kimbe - conragtualtions to you and DH. It is wonderful news for the both of you. I am sure it will be a nice smooth preagnancy for you. You certainly do give renewed hope to us 1st timers that it actually can happen 1st time around. We get so used to hearing that it will take a couple of go's and as you say, they are very good at that reaffirming the 'oh.. you only on your 1st cycle' comment, that you tend to stop believing that it can actually happen 1st time. WELL DONE!!!!!

Venus - welcome and good luck with your cycle. Believe it or not, in my opinion, you do get used to the Synarel, maybe not the flavour so much, but on the whole its not to bad, just a necessary evil really! Keep us posted on how you are going.

Smithy..Totally agree with you, you really so feel like it is 'game on' once you have started the synarel.

AS for me.. well, had my U/S and BT today (Day 9 of injections) and so far I have about 13 follies of varying size , 5 were too small to measure (apparently they dont count - but i think they do as they can still grow!!!) the rest were ranging in size from 13mm to 8 mm. So still on the injections and in for another U/S and BT on Wednesday.

I must admit I was a bit upset at the follie count and size, as I was hoping for more. But, better than none!!!

So, and lots of that these little follies will have a growth spurt over the next few days.

Anyway, its for me and my follies to get some well earned beauty & growth sleep.

to us all and good luck folks.

    Cheers.....
