Sorry guys, I've just seen the question I was asked now!
I got it done at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane. Not sure if it's common practice to unblock tubes then and there, it must be or they wouldn't have done it.
I have to say, I'd never get another HSG done without a general anaesthetic. I think the pain was bad for me because of the blockage though.

I agree with you on the pain of getting the HSG done (mine was Oct '09), definitely wasn't expecting the contracting feeling of my body once the dye entered my uterus!
Hmmm, they didn't attempt to unblock my right tube (Box Hill; Melbourne) at the time, I was told I'd need a surgical procedure for that.. ?
