The only way to know for sure if you have PCO is via the ultrasound. It is possible to have similar symptoms but not have PCOS. The thing is, it is exactly what it says - polycysttic ovaries. without the cysts, then its not polycystic itms.

Em325, I'm pretty sure the infertility thing is women onlt, not men. But I'm not 100% sure....

Amaunet, Great advice, I will definitely ask more questions if i decide to go GF. I will get the blood tests done to check

Rowellen, I also have PCOS. I reckon all this IBS related stuff is definitely linked with PCOS and infertility.

My SIL is a pharmacy tech and she swears by the Ethical nutrients IBS support capsules. I am going to give them a try first and see what happens. In the meantime I am going to try and cut out some things and see if if it helps. Belly isn't too bad today, but all I've had is some cheerios for brekky, a vegemite s/w and some rice crackers But the other night I was farting about every 15 minutes!! And after I'd do one I could feel all the gas bubbling up inside my tummy

And Ladylove, Rowellen is right. You need to have lots of cysts on your ovaries to have PCOS and they would show up on your ultrasound.

Yeah I had just enough follies to be the highest end of normal but not so much that it'd be classed as PCO.
