Yesterday was my day 3 transfer and I played with my 2 year nephew after the transfer and am a bit worried after reading some forums as they say no heavy lifting. I was pikcing my nephew up in my arms and carrying him.
Does anybody know what I should and shouldn't do in the 2WW, besides drinking, smoking, vigourous exercise?
congrats on your ET! fingers crossed for you in the 2WW . for my 2WW after transfer i slowed down a bit and didn't do my normal exercise load, but still had lovely walks etc. they do say don't do heavy lifting but i am not sure how other AC women with children avoid the occasional lifting so don't beat yourself up about it.
my advice is to try and enjoy this time as much as you can. my DH and i set up special treats for each day (even really small ones) to look forward to and enjoy. after all the stims etc hopefully you can relax a bit more.
oh as you are technically pg you should avoid the usual pg foods of soft cheeses etc if that is something you plan to do.
Hi Max Just wanted to let you know that I have a 13.5kg 2 year old that I couldn't avoid pcking up in the TWW. I was definitely worried by it, but it's not something you can avoid when it's your own child & they need you. That was the only "naughty" thing I did. I carried on as per normal, but didn't do anything else too strenuous (no vacuuming or lifting other heavy things, no vigourous exercise) & got my BFP from our first cycle
Honestly hun I wouldn't be too worried. Those that fall pregnant naturally don't even know at this point, so wouldn't do anything differently, so it's not absolutely essential IYKWIM.
Max, I wouldn't worry about picking up your young nephew, If you were practicing the snatch and grab or carrying 3 bags of cement on each shoulder that would be more of a concern
They are simply saying don't exert your body unduly. Lifting a young one wouldn't fall into this category. Good luck.
