I am currently doing acupuncture and I hate to say, I don't think it's working. I haven't had a period for about 4 months now so been doing acu for about 6 weeks and it doesn't seem to be doing anything I will have to stop soon too because it's just costing me too much. I pay $65 a week for the acupuncture and about $40 for herbs.
But i have discovered I am dairy intolerant and I have my bloating problem under control

I am an acupuncture convert. I started sessions when diagnosed with gestational diabetes when pg with DS1. I also had sessions when pg with DS2 and I couldn't shake sinus/colds and coughs and when we were ttc #3 and four rounds of clomid didn't help us conceive, I started sessions again. Every single time I've had regular sessions I've felt a huge improvement in my overall health and wellbeing.

Re: ovulation. Yes, acupuncture (weekly sessions) made me ovulate. It was no coincidence as my cycles were totally up the spout and irregular, so it was definitely the acupuncture. As part of the sessions, my acupuncturist would cup my tummy to draw the cold out of my body, then she did the acupuncture. As she was also a naturopath and did TCM, she put me on a sugar-free diet, upped my supplements and gave me chinese herbs. We tracked my cycle via morning BBT checks. The sessions cost $80 and I got approx $25 back via private health insurance.

Tasha - it took a few weeks for me to ovulate first time round with acupuncture, from then on I ovulated on approx CD30 each cycle until we conceived DS3. It took 3-4 months of acupuncture before we conceived.

This will be my 7th week and I don't even have a stir going on in there. I was starting to have around 60 day cycles, which is good for me, but then this cycle I am still waiting. Don't know what happened. I was hoping the TCM would work, maybe it still might...

Tasha, was reading this thread where you said acupuncture wasn't working and now your ticker says 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant How exciting. Do you think acupuncture helped? And were you seeing someone who was a specialist in fertility?
