After the 3rd unsuccessful IVF cycle, I decided to look into the acupuncture - our problem was that we had excellent quality embryos, they just wouldn't implant into my lining.
Because I have had endo all my life, they thought this was why, so I originally rang to get info on this.
She explained to me a little about how chinese medicine & acupuncture work... both for fertility and also to assist with IVF or any other TTC method.
I just told her exactly what had happened during all of our cycles, and she sat down with me a week later and explained everything she thought she could do to help.
I also have always suffered with fluid retention, and so she has focused on this too - you can truly notice the difference - over the Christmas period we were away and so I didn't have any treatment for about 4 weeks... when we came back I was like a big fat water bomb ready to pop!!!
I have acupuncture once a week, and am also on a mix of herbs that she has prescribed... she said there are a few that most ladies TTC would take, but they differ depending on individual circumstances.
Throughout our 4th cycle (the first cycle using all of this), the difference in everything was amazing... and although we didn't end up in a pregnancy, everything that she set out to help (fluid retention, weight gain, nausea, the thickening of the lining) she was able to do - and the standard in the quality of my eggs was incredible.
I would suggest that you call an acupuncturist that specialises in infertility (and help with assisted conception), and in the first consultation they will go over your circumstances & work out a plan for you.
Not sure where abouts you are, but I am on the Central Coast NSW - if you're close enough I could give you Gabby's no, shes fantastic!!!
