Hi and welcome thresep. I have had 2 laprascopies last year. The first one was to investigate what is giong on with my body and the 2nd was to have a cyst drained. Anyway I would highly recommend having the lap done as it gives you and your fs a very clear picture as to what is going on in there. It can be a little bit painful for the first few days after the proceedure but this is mostly caused by the gas leaving your body. It's nothing that a couple of panadol won't fix though. The proceedure itself only consists if 2 little incisions, one in your belly button and the other on your pubic hair line, this way the dr can insert the camera etc to have a good look around and it doesn't take too long either. Most people come home the same day too. Good luck with it all. I must point out that my mother in law also has a retroverted uterus and she had 2 kids. Hope this info helps a bit.
