Just wanted to say that I had my last lap 2 weeks ago, (my 6th overall!), and I would definately say to go ahead... its generally a day procedure, and the pain is really quite minimal.
Definately worth having done, though, as then everyone knows exactly what is going on.. and once they are in there, they can fix many things, also (scar tissue, adhesions, blocked tubes, endo etc) - anything that may be adding to your problems TTC.....
If you go back thru the general thread at the top (Dec 2006) you will be able to read that there are a few of us who have had lap's done quite recently.. and you'll be able to see what we had done, and what they found!!!
Secondly, with the retroverted uterus - I too have this, but it has nothing to do with my problems TTC - I have an 8yr old son who was conceived naturally without any problems... before I started trying for him, my uterus concerned me, however my dr told me it would have no effect on falling pregnant... and it didn't!
I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but most of the women in my family have this condition, and none of them have had any trouble at all having children.
My problems TTC now have nothing to do with it, either - I have blocked tubes from an infection I caught from the hospital where I had my son.. along with a few other things too!!
Good luck with your lap if you decide to go ahead....
Hope this helps!!!
