    Hi Everyone,

Sticking my head in to catching up on everyone after a long and busy weekend.

Loops ? sorry to hear about your BFN, good luck with your new plans and upcoming IVF. If this 2nd IUI doesn?t work for us either we will probably be on a similar schedule. Hope decorating the new house keeps you nicely distracted in the mean time.

Mahli, Kmond, Jodz, Rob (and sorry if I missed anyone else) ? for your 2WW, keep us posted.

BOC ? bad luck on the OHSS, glad your cycle didn?t get cancelled and good luck also with your 2WW also

B2B ? good luck with all your plans I hope the Detox isn?t too painful! No green potions or anything?..

MrsP ? I hope the time is passing quickly, you will be down to the business end soon.

Persephone1 - Welcome from me too. I am also new to this forum and getting to know everyone. DH and I haven't got to IVF yet but my thoughts are with you. One day when you get that BFP and your little bundle of joy - all will be forgotten, every needle and cringe worthy moment will be worth it!

And an update on me .... currently on day 11 of my second IUI cycle. I had my first blood test and ultrasound yesterday. Good news is that I have a good follicle growing on my right hand ovary. Bad news is that I have a 4.5 x 4 cm cyst on my left ovary. It was there 2 months ago when I had my last IUI. They had expected it would go away at the end of my cycle (2 cycles ago). FS is happy for me to continue with IUI but if is unsuccessful she would like me to have a laparoscopy so she can drain the cyst and have a poke around. Has anything similar happen to anyone else? I am not sure if it is something that I should be worried about.

My goodness so many girls in the TWW! Goodluck BOC, Mahli, KMond and anyone else!

mitf - sorry to hear about your cyst. Your FS sounds very switched on and at least has a plan for you. Great news about the follie!

persephone1 - I haven't gone through an ET yet but for me just the internal ultrasounds are bad enough! Well done on getting so many embies to freeze. And welcome to this thread

baby2bee - we may be doing our first cycles together! I think Day 1 for me will be around May 7th so I may be just a week ahead. I think. Not long for you to wait now!

infinity - have a great 30th! I just had mine at the start of the month. Fingers crossed it brings you luck with your ET.

AFM - still plodding along on progynova. Less side effects but strangely sensitive nipples now (sorry TMI!). Looking forward to changing to the provera and getting this show on the road ha ha. Still trying some last minute toning up and exercising too!

Hi Persephone1! I have always struggled with ET - while I am awed by what is actually happening and love seeing my embies on the screen the process is not so nice. I've had a change of that 'opening' instrument in the middle of one of my ET's! *cringe* My first transfer I was very embarassed when the emby person joined my FS at the business end - two people peering down there was a bit of a surprise I feel such relief when i get out of there with my emby on board and that's when i can start to feel excited/hopeful.

I'm at Melb IVF - at a suburban clinic but have my FET's at East Melb and the odd scan. I will definately smile around the waiting room when I'm there next - will make a nice change.

    Best of luck with everything.

Persephone, I get what you're saying. It can be a little off-putting having people looking down there, especially if it's something you haven't had to do very often. I also understand about the different sized speculums. I'm a "very small" make (sorry !) and my GP knows this when I go for my Paps but I find it quite uncomfortable when other Drs go straight for the Med or Large size and when I went for my ET FS only had a bigger one and then told me he wasn't able to lube it up which made it even worse, and then just after it was in he realised it wasn't quite right and had to twist it, well I nearly jumped thru the roof! So I hear ya!

But my trick here, I think of two things. I think that (1) This could very well lead me to the one thing I want more than anything else in the world so a few minutes of embarrassment and discomfort i worth it and (2) I think of my own mother. When I was born I was feet first my poor mother had not only the OB and Dad looking down there, but also 4 student Drs and a university lecturer!

I get what you mean about the "intimacy" part too, for me it's all a little too cold and clinical, not ever how I imagined myself trying to create a family, but hey let's just pray that we all get our BFPs soon so it makes it all worthwhile!

    wishing everyone in the !

    hi everyone!
i had my 6th iui last thursday. yey, nearly half way there!!!

MRS P - GL with your sensitive nipples!!

MITF - i have had exactly what i think you have. it's a chocolate cyst. because it is filled with dead blood (TMI!!) mine was there for a few months before i had it removed with lap #2. Lap #1 was for polyps and endo. not sure if you have been diagnosed with any other problems, but a lap is a good way to find them out! GL with it all.

persephone - welcome and GL. i did IVF last august. the ET didn't other me,but the 2 litres of fluid that filled my stomach did. i was big and very uncomfortable. i think i am getting a bit to use to having someone prod and poke me down in my "personal" area!!! that is very sad.....

INfinity - GL with your transfer on the weekend. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. i think that is a great sign! i always look for signs. anything i can hold onto as a positive thing. i even get excitted when i get a good carpark on the day!!

hello to BOC, JBM and LOOPS12 and everyone else this month!!
    bye

    Hi everyone,

Baby2Bee, good luck with the detox program, hoping it brings you everything you want. x
Mitf, sorry about your cyst, I've never had one but it sounds like your FS knows how to handle it, hoping no problems for you.
Mrs P - thanks for the birthday wishes! now how are those nipples? lol
Kittycat - thanks for the birthday wishes, I'm hoping its a sign too.

Good luck to all, especially all the girls in TWW land - my ET is tomorrow so I'll be coming to join you in your thread soon. Please please let this be it!!!!!
