Hello to everyone else, sorry i don't have time to catch up with everyone at the moment, bell is about to ring (I'm a school teacher).
AFM - i am still waiting for AF to arrive i am getting a bit nervous. I am now on day 51 of my cycle and according to POAS ovulation kit i ovulated the Wed after easter so that is now 16 days ago!!!! I am to scared to do a preg test, but really don't feel that AF is on its way. I will cave on the weekend if still nothing. So i am now just praying we have a little miracle on the way!!! Will catch up better when have some spare time.
Loops: do u have any headaches chick I have my fx'd so tight for you that a little miracle has happened and that this one is even stronger than the last one and very very super sticky
Thanks guys I think I spoke too soon though I woke up this morning and I have the shortest temper this morning poor dh has copped it a bit. I don't mean to take it out on him but unfortunately he's always there when I am cranky.
I was so hoping to have lots of good days no headache though so at least that's one thing might had a mid day nap maybe that's why I felt so good yesterday cause the day before I had a nap in the day time. AH well it's a beautiful day and I shouldn't be feeling like this so I best be off to feed some baby calves and puppies we are now down to 8 but after the weekend we'll only have 6 puppies and maybe even just 5

AFM - I'm in the thick of my first IVF cycle, and a bit nervy. I had my egg collection yesterday, feeling OK today, even though they got 36 eggs (I had a heart attack when I saw the number on my hand, the joys of PCOS I guess). Am on OHSS watch at the moment, on Monday my E2 level was 29000. Off to acupuncture again this arvo, which I think is helping. We're planning for a day 5 transfer on Monday, if I don't go downhill in the meantime.
I'd love to pick your brains about the embies if I could - of the ones that fertilised (they did ICSI on the viable eggs), I was wondering if we should freeze a couple on day 3, or go for broke with them and go for just blasties? We have to decide by tomorrow, and I have no idea what to do...

Hi Leabie, If it's any help, most FSs prefer to use day 3 embies on frozen cycles. Debate rages about day 3 and day 5 for fresh cycles. On my last stim cycle I kept more out from the deep freeze as I hadn't seen a blasty on my two previous stims - and this was against my FS advice. Some were frozen at day 3. I got a good number of blasties, which was great at the time, but when we started doing the frozen cycles they don't want to use the blasties - only as a back-up if the day 3s don't thaw well. Still, having said that, they will use blasties in frozen cycles if there are no day 3s. Hope this helps, hun!
For the people who are doing acupuncture...at what stage in your cycle do you go? Im thinking of starting (It cant hurt, right?!) just trying to work out when I should make an appointment, dont want to go and they say they cant do anything until next month etc. Also, has anyones DH had acupuncture? Just wondering if there is anything to say it can help if he has it to?
Yeah Leabie, I think freezing a few just in case is a good idea. For the cycle we got DS we put 4 in the freezer at day 3 and ended up with 3 blasties.
This time the embryologist recommended thawing the 4 day-3s and seeing if we could get any blasties - only one made it. So we still have our 2 'backups'
It's interesting (in a way) and I'm not sure why, but some people seem to do much better with blasties and some with day-3 embies. Blasts seem to work better for us.
Albi - I guess it can be helpful at any stage, but I know it's often recommended before and after transfer.

AFM ~ Weird tummy pains still, gunna get a POAS tonight I think. Havent had AF since start of my cycle and my loss - so about 2 months. But I would think that would mean it would be more impossible to be pg. Dont know

My FS did prescribe presoline (spelling?) - had heard a few bad symptoms connected to this so just wondering how others found it.
Had ET today - embies not doing so well - had a cell 7 and a cell 8 ranked as a 2.5 out of a possible 4 transferred - others not looking so good. Had a new emby divide so now that makes six all up ... FS will see how they go over the next few days rather than freeze now.
Just lying around taking it easy today. Have still been in quite a bit of pain since ET - but FS thinks all is doing well.

I've been doing accupuncture on and off, and I do find it makes me less stressed. I'm not really sure when the right times are. The accupuncturist told me to go twice a week. I have an appointment for later today, and then wil go Sunday and/or the day before transfer. I was petrified of needles before I started with IVF, but hey, be get poked and prodded enough, whats a few more needles Accupuncture is fairly pain free - my new one thought twists the needles a little and that can hurt for less than a second before settling, and I fall asleep.
I've just started on the pill today for my first IVF cycle. I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed.
I guess I have Unexplained infertility but I have some issues which impact on my fertility but all are treated: celiac, thyroid antibodies and my lap last month showed mild endo. I also have a history of late ovulation and short LP.
I've tried pretty much everything so far to no avail. I see a naturopath, acupuncturist and tried a couple of types of ovulation induction drugs and progesterone pessaries.
I wish all of you the best for your next cycle and hope to get to know you as time goes on.
chekigal, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to get that news. I hope you don't have to wait that long for you BFP.
tantee, oh, how frustrating that you have to wait longer because these doctors have a private life! I hope it passes quickly.
leabie, FX for a great result! As unpleasant as it is, late onset OHSS can be a good sign.
murraycod, I'm sorry to hear your DH is being less attentive this time around. Hopefully he'll understand it was all worth it when you get your BFP!
I'm sorry I don't have time to respond to everyone else individually. We seem to have a heck of a lot of FETs happening in the next week or so. FX they all go very smoothly for you all!
Afm, we went in for our first scan and b/w this morning. There were 8 follies @ 12-14mm and our FS is expecting EPU to be Wednesday. He also said the lining and blood supply to the uterus are good. We have another scan on Monday, so hopefully all will be ready then.
I was expecting EPU to be more like Friday and now suddenly have 2 less days to finish my report at work, so I'm freaking out a bit. We just locked in the absolute, unchangeable deadline for this report yesterday... So, I'm going to be working all weekend (yay, happy birthday to me... ) and may not get much time to check in between now and EPU.
I have been asked to come in for a second BT tomorrow. Not too sure why. Have been low since call yesterday to advise of BFN and not thinking straight.... anyone else know of this or had this before?
Chekigal, I have never heard of this before....Did you ring them back and ask why??

Juniper, we may be EPU buddies this month! My scan and bloods are Monday, but if anything like last cycle, Wednesday will be the day for me too.

Hi to everyone else I've missed I too am struggling with the new format
AFM I finally surged this morning and am booked in for an FET this Thursday had acupunture on the weekend and am booked in for some more on Wednesday then again on Thursday. Just booked a facial for Friday and apart from that plan to just sit on the couch for the rest on the weekend and let my body do the right thing. Now I'm just praying that my little frostie thaws well.
