Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Thanks Emma xo
I was thinking about how your ovary wouldnt cooperate?!
How does that happen! I didn't think it "had to do" anything bar FS collect the eggs?
I sure hope he didn't stuff up on you.
May I ask how much it is all costing you with the pgd?
Afm I tested yesterday with hpt just to see the hcg shot.
Gosh I keep staring at it as it's such a very strong 2 lines I wish to god I could get that for real!
Now I've got to wait forever to get out of my system to see if it worked :-/.
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
It's happened to me before- apparently my bowel covers it?
I had 2 surgeons (my FS and the director) trying to work it yesterday with no luck.
Do I have you on FB Sarah? I can take a picture of the cost sheet, if you like?
I think it's about 13k before rebate, that includes PGD on 4 embryos, after that it's $550 per extra embryo (I think)
No rebate on PGD, just normal rebate for stim cycle.
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Emma, I hope everything's going well with your embryos. 7 out of 9 fertilizing is a fantastic rate !
Sarah, ugh, it's so utterly unfair that we can't get pregnant despite so much effort, and then we have to be around people who seem to abuse the privilege. Not that going to the gym is an abuse, but smoking is.
Afm, the test results definitely won't be in time to start this cd 21, so next cycle it is. In fact, apparently the phlebotomist didn't sign some declaration that is required for certain tests, so I have to go back for more, once the referral arrives in the mail! I'd be very annoyed if this were going to hold up my cycle, but it's actually the ovarian reserve tests that take 3 weeks anyway.
And we have decided to move house in September. FX I'll be jus getting over MS by that stage!
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Haven't been really posting in here Emma but from 5 collected, 4 fertilised, we got 3 to testing with 2 unaffected. Unfortunately only 1 of those was good enough for transfer so I am actually in my tww. Not sure when my bt is, just hoping for the best xx
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Best of luck Sarah!
I hope your HPT stays dark
AFM-
I have mild OHSS.
Tightness in rib cage
Shortness of breath
Nausea
Thankfully- no weight gain, vomiting and minimal bloating.
My nurse is happy to monitor me from home.
Tomorrow is the big day- we find out our PGD results.....
Fingers crossed!
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Good luck Emma and Sarah
Thanks Worrywart, I still haven't called the FS, I need a kick in the bum I think. Feeling so lost and tired lately, I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm calling this week damn it! lol
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Emma, sorry to hear about the OHSS. Hope it doesn't get any worse. FX for great news from the testing!!
Miss.B, I've been putting off going back to my old FS for another lap for my endo (new FS doesn't do them) and had some quite bad pain during AF last week, including some clear endo symptoms. How about we both make those phone calls this week and book some appointments!?!
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014
Sarah, omg, that is potentially v exciting. I really really hope that the line is getting darker. It looked pretty dark to me. But obviously ... yeah, well, you know, tricky situation with the trigger. Have you done any more tests? Wishing you tons and tons of
MissB, don't be hard on yourself. It is only natural that you want to protect yourself against possible distress. These bl**dy appointments are so freaking hard. For us, each one we go to causes a major upset. And it is kind of crazy because maybe you will still have that baby in the end. I read this thing, which is from Buddhist thinking, which is that "anything can happen at anytime". Now this goes for both good and bad things, but it is a reminder to use "don't know mind" to try to stay in the present moment with what is, rather than anxiety-inducing mental excursions into the future, which really is totally unknown. HTH. Now make that phone call!!!
Juniper, you too! I believe so firmly in laps for us endo girls. I have only ever got pregnant right after one.
Emma, my god, I am on tenterhooks for you. Please post ASAP. Also, really crossing fingers OHSS diminishes a bit. I am sure you are drinking loads of water? Sorry that sounds kind of silly, but it might help?
Joe, loads of sticky baby dust to you. Hope this is the one.
AFM, I think I ovulated on Monday and we did try both Sunday (with pos OPK) and Monday, but I don't know. My hormones feel whacky. I don't have any breast tenderness which I usually have right after O. Plus I never really felt a clear increase in desire which I usually get. I always find myself thinking, "gosh that taxi driver was attractive" or staring at magazine pictures of David Beckham and then I'll be like "oh .... right ....I get it". Anyway, I am sure I am looking at it too closely, because of course, there is loads of pressure because it feels like we only have a "window" post-lap. I will stay off the list for now, but I will go on it for my FET cycle if it goes ahead next month.
