I really hope you won't be with us for too long and that the new cycle you're about to start will be successful.
don't you dare worry about jumping into the middle of an established thread - we've ALL been there - and if we didn't take that leap of faith to jump right in, we wouldn't have found such a supportive group of people to keep us complany through the hell that is assisted conception!

If at any point in the future I can be of any help to you and your DH please let me know. I am happy to answer any bloke questions that I can either on here or via email or whatever. If you do a search of my post history, particularly the earlier ones, you will both see the sorts of emotions I felt once I found out that I was the cause of the infertility - the usual sort of stuff relating to inadequacy, shock, anger, and particularly the upset at putting DW through all of this when she is physically fine. All the stuff he is feeling is normal and I imagine all blokes feel it in our shoes.
Tell him that they say 1 in 6 couples experience infertility of some sort, and 40% of those are to do with the bloke (40% the woman, 20% unexplained). I bet he (and I) would be amazed at how many of us are in the same boat. Same with another member of this thread - Sparkles - her DH is in exactly the same boat as me with regard to morphology. He needs to look on the bright side if he can. These days many blokes can biologically father kids through all of this wonderful technology instead of relying solely on donors, and further he has a varicocele which explains his circumstance. Happymel's DH has recently had a varicocele repair and has already experienced great improvements in his analysis.
Everyone's different, but after coming to terms with what we have been dealt (we found out in May, a week after two of our best friends' baby died) my attitude has just been to get my head down, bum up, and do what we need to do to get the job done. I'm pretty excited that we've started IVF and that we actually have the opportunity to get it sorted. As you and I and everyone knows, your DH hasn't let you down at all. Some people have dodgy knees, some people have heart troubles, some people have hearing loss, and some people even have crap sperm. It happens!

I have noticed you all talking about natropathy. My sister told me about a girl she works with who was doing IVF who saw a natropath when things weren't good. And the next cycle she got preg. I am booking in to have accupuncture for the next cylce as I have heard good things. Anyone else experienced positives with it?
Lauz, I mentioned my history in another thread - PCOS for me, varicocele for DH, and hyperstimulation and no transfer on my first cycle...
I've been using acupuncture for about 12 months now, and I'm sure it has helped a lot along the way, especially with my state of mind. When the OHSS cycle managed to produce 4 blastocysts, I can only presume that it has also helped with egg quality as well. My clinic told me that they'd have been happy if I had one or two blasts out of that cycle and getting 4 was just fantastic. I go weekly, and also had a session the same day as our transfer - I'm sure it helped our embryo stick, and will be using it again with the next cycle when we get there. Meanwhile, it's helping me get prepared physically and mentally for when the time comes.
Sushee - Welcome back - So glad to hear about yours & DH's decision to try naturally for a while - from reading past posts of yours, this sounds like a breakthrough in your relationship like you said - So happy for you!

To everyone else - HI!!
Not much happening here ATM, took myself up to Terry White Chemist today with another soccer mum & signed up for the Tony Ferguson diet - I've gained a few kgs due to winter, and changes in meds, etc, so thought it won't hurt to lose a few kgs!!
I'm hoping that I'll lose a few this cycle and then it will all become irrelevant come this time next month when I get a BFP!
Heres to thinking positively anyway!!!!!

Holly, grab yourself a cuppa and possibly some tissues before you head on over there to catch up. I just can't process things internally, so it's all got to come out. It's a very long thread now, but it helps me see just how far I have come. I'm actually doing quite well now - still some things to work through before we go back again, but I think I'll be there sooner rather than later. And Miss BG is making sure I stay honest and is helping me work through things more than she can imagine. Good luck with the weight loss!

Holly - Thanks for asking, I am doing okay with the crinone & pregnyl apart from it making me very tired and giving me a few side affects such as cramps etc. Otherwise I am holding up fine - trying to remain positive and not focus too much on how my body is feeling because I know it is so drug affected at the moment. Last pregnyl shot is tonight - yay!
Hi Happymel - my b/t is on the 13th (I think that is also BG's DH's birthday? so hopefully that is a good omen!)
Lauz - welcome to our little thread. Everyone here is amazingly supportive and have so much information and experience to share around that there is always room for one more. My DF has dodgy morphology too and he is taking some multi-vits and chinese herbs to help. I have done a couple of sessions of acupuncture so far - I figure they can't hurt!

well, if the theory that pregnyl exits your system at 1000IU per day, i should be "clean" now - so any test from here on in, i think i can trust the result
now, all i have to do is get over the HPT phobia over the next few days so i can test next week...
