Hi and welcome, PositivelyTTC! I think they make us wait 16 days because they'd rather have AF tell us the cycle was BFN instead of them having to do it... I always test at home and I don't bother going in for the b/t if I know it's BFN.

Miss.B, sorry to hear that, hun. I hope the cycle can be salvaged (without compromising it's chances of success).

Afm, cramps, blah, refuse to test... Thinking I need to wait another month before doing another IUI. I don't feel like I've made enough (any?) progress with my weight and I've got another issue or two going on that make me think I should wait another month before going back on the prednisone/clexane/etc. Diet still needs a lot of work, but been doing well with the sugar - had 3 soft drinks this cycle (instead of one daily) and sweets about twice per week (again, instead of daily). Need to cut it back further, but I feel good about my progress because it's a lot better than I did the first half of the year. Haven't been game to use the scales because if I haven't lost anything I'll get discouraged and fall off the wagon again. Better to keep going in ignorance... These are good changes and they're worth making even if I don't lose weight with them...

Good job Juniper!! If you cut out the grains I promise you it will make a big difference!! Also good for endo.

I feel like I have been cramping all freaking month I had bad ovulation pains for about three-four days. Now I have been cramping again and backache for the past two days . Last night it was really sharp pains in the right hand side.

Over it already and AF isn't due for another week. Blah...

Well done Juniper you should be very proud you are doing really well

Nothing to lose...I had similar to what you are describing 8 - 10 DPO it was only on the right side and were sharp stabbing pains no clue what it was

AFM a few of hours ago I started cramping much like period pain and lower backache but AF not due for at least two more day I'm crossing everything for a BFP

MyTurn- Bugger about your lining only being 4mm but as you said you are only CD10.. Plus a lot could change over the next few days. My lining was so thin it was not measurable on CD 15.. But by CD 20 it was 8.7mm! When is your next scan honey Xx

Juniper- As the others have said you are doing really well to have made those dietry changes. You know your body better than anyone else so if you feel as though you need another month before jumping back on the iui bandwagon than that's probably the way to go Xx

N2L- don't you just hate the TWW!! Cramps can be a good sign so I'm going to pray that what you have been feeling is a little embryo getting snug Xx

PositivelyTTC- Same as for N2L.. Cramps can sometimes be a good sign if they are not accompanied with bleeding. What meds were you on for your iui? Xx

AFM- Accupuncture done and I don't go back now till after my BT.. Is this normal??
For those who are serial POAS-aholics can you offer some advice? I am thinking about 'testing out' my Pregnyl shots as I have two packs of FRER in the cupboard and DP really wants us to test ourselves before the BT so that good or bad we don't have to hear it over the phone from the clinic. Sooo when should I start testing to confirm that the Pregnyl is gone (had my last shot yesterday). I was hoping to test to confirm that it's gone and than POAS again the morning of BT.

Jasmine, I still get faint positives 7 days after a 1500iu pregnyl booster shot (haven't tested later than that), but we all metabolise the hcg at different rates... I use ICs when I test out the pregnyl, but the FRER will work just as well (just cost more). If you want to save some money, you could wait a few days before you start testing and you'd normally test daily. Or you could just start testing 3-4 days before your b/t. If you don't get any negatives, what you're looking for is the test line getting progressively darker (BFP) instead of lighter (BFN)...

Jasmine - I do Acupunture too with this cycle I had a session a day before IUI, then one two days later, last week I had two sessions and I have another tomorrow....all to do with helping fertilized egg implant and for stress relief.
I love going it really helps me to relax, i usually fall asleep which is wonderful

Re my meds for this IUI

    CD 3 - 11 Gonal F 37.5
    CD 11 - Ovidril 250
    CD 15 - Ovidril 6 clicks
    CD 18 - Ovidril 6 clicks
    CD 20 - Ovidril 6 clicks
CD 19 onwards - progesterone pessaries

I usually have a 12 day Luteal phase so I beleive that's why I am on the pessaries

Thanks Juniper. I might test on the weekend to see if the trigger is gone (or almost gone).

PositivelyTTC- Yep the HCG (ovidrel) and pessaries are both great leutal phase support and should prevent any early bleeding. Are you going to POAS or wait it out till BT?

Just a quick post to say progesterone pessaries, crinone, pregnyl, etc will not necessarily stop bleeding. Many women on this forum have experienced bleeding while on luteal support, myself included several times.

I am seriously thinking of POAS on Saturday morning before going in for the BT

I should probably wait but the suspense will kill me so bugger it and I have two tests in the bathroom so they may as well get used

It was my bday on Sunday so I am praying for a BFP as a late bday pressie

Hope everyone is going well and we can add some BFP to this month very soon!

AFM - I am on a natural cycle and have been using OPK'S since CD8, I am now CD14 and got a faint test line this afternoon, should I test agin tonight or wait until morning? I was starting to worry nothing was going to happen

Agreed. The pregnyl has always delayed AF for me, but the progesterone certainly doesn't. I had AF show up early after our first IVF (just 2x crinone daily for luteal support). Even after last year's natural FET, AF showed up a day early (for no apparent reason!) in spite of me using 2x 200mg progesterone pessaries daily.

Kel, if you think you could possibly get the positive tonight, then there's no harm in testing again. I usually start testing at least twice per day once the line starts to darken, and 3 times per day if the tests are getting close to positive.

Thanks PositivelyTTC . Happy belated birthday for last Sunday! I hope that you'll get a BFP for your late birthday pressie.

Jasmine, I only do the trigger shot just before EPU so then I wait around 10 days later to start testing. Honestly, I have been 'known' to start testing as early as 2 to 3 days post transfers (especially in my last 2 cycles) just to watch the trigger go out of my system and the line to start appearing (IF it's going to make an appearance). I don't understand why some women get several trigger shots....especially I don't understand the ones post EPU, what are they for? Sorry for stupid questions. My good friend had 3 trigger shots, I never understood why 3.

Kel, GL with your natural cycle hun

N2L, I hate O pains, somethimes they are as strong as AF for me, very annoying...

AFM, the nurse told me to increase my progynova tabs from 3 to 5 daily, in an effort to thicken up my lining. She is hoping the follicle is an 'inactive' one and that by next scan which will be next Monday, it wouldn't have grown in size. If that's the case, I will have a transfer next week Friday. IF the follicle is active and grows, the cycle will be most probably cancelled.

Miss B - my hrt cycle they didn't do a scan till day 13 and I was only 6.3mm. A week later my lining was thinner at 5.7mm do I was put on 6 progynova a day & estrogen patches every 2nd day. I stated on that for another 2 weeks till my lining was ok then had a week of progesterone before transfer. Remember they are manipulating your cycle so it can take weeks for your lining to get to a good thickness. They never checked if I had any follicles. I hope your next scan brings good news.

N2l & positively ttc - last cycle I had stabbing pains on my right side in luteal phase. Had ultrasound & they told me it was my corpus luteal cyst. They also told me I was pregnant & I wasn't it was just a pseudo sac in my uterus. Te pains went away after 4 days.

I'm just waiting till Thursday - have bt (no scan yet too early for me). My estrogen was high at baseline bloods so guessing they checking on that?
