    Hi Ladies,

Mitf - great news, that is exciting and nice to read some good news, hope all stays well for you.

Tracey - Glad you didn't find the injections too bad - I thought the same! I think I imagined them to be a lot worse so it is a nice surprise when they are not too bad at all.

AFM: Had 2nd US this morning, follies are growing along nicely - still only seeing about 8 but now up to 14mm. Staying on same dose of gonal and synarel and back for US on Monday then prob trigger Monday night, EPU Wednesday. Just hope it is all worthwhile and they collect lots of little eggs.

Hope you are all doing well in your cycles or wherever you are at with things & life!

    Yay the weekend Enjoy!

    Unhappy Another Update!!! Not Good!!!!

    Evening Ladies,

Well a quick update for you all. AM not feeling the best this evening.

So DH and I went in nice and early this morning for my US and BT (Had to try twice this morning as they couldnt get the first one ) with FX that we would find my little follies had done what we wanted them to do and that is grown.

Cut a long story short. Got the call from the PGD Nurse this afternoon. Because of the fore warning on Thurs about the possibility of cancelling, found it kind of tough over the past couple of days not to mention even tougher to try and keep my mind busy today. Anyway, she let me know that the US results were no real different than that on Thursday. 1 Follicle at 18mm and two at 16mm and a hole heap others well below that. The good thing I thought though was that at the US this morning, Uterus lining was 13mm!!!! So I was provided 2 options. 1, continue with my injections and go for another BT and US on Monday in the hopes that the others had had a growth spurt or 2, I trigger today and we cancel the cycle because of poor performance. Had a chat with DH and then called back with an answer. After much discussion, we decided to cancel our very first cycle (. My theory was that were there for IVF, ICSI, PGD so that means there were alot of odds that those 3 had to make it through, FOr starters, they had to be viable, then fertilise (ICSI) and then after that make it to day 5 blastie and then make it through PGD with flying colours. Deep down, I didnt really think that the follies would respond well by Monday and then we would be crossing the same path as now and making a decision then. I mean, with the big up in my dossage I was given on Thursday to today didnt really seem to make a difference to the little follies. From what I could see, maybe only one kind of responded. So called the Nurse and advised her of our decision, as heart breaking as it was.

Instructions - Trigger at any time today (I did it at 6.30pm, had no prob snapping the vials etc but man oh man did it hurt as I injected, not to mention its quite a thick solution to inject) Store all left over meds in the fridge ready for our next cycle which were going to start ASAP. Nurse will send out another pack for myself which includes the next script for Lucrin and cycle diary etc. Need to wait for AF again!!!!! Once AF arrives, call the clinic, start the OCP and off on our way again for try number 2. FX hey we have success. FS has said that at next cycle, I will be started on a higher dose of FSH to begin with.

So have decided that starting next week, am going to start Accupuncture treatments and will continue these all through the cycle. Am also going on a bigger health kick. Walking everyday etc, etc. Anyone have any experience with Accupuncture. Am hoping it helps to keep myself calm Am definately going to be positive all the time now. At least I know what to expect. Glass is half full attitude hey!!!

Thats it for me. Will definately continue to lurk around and keep up with your ladies progress but hopefully before too long, will be back in here.

Sorry for the long post, just helps to get it all out especially where I have others who know and understand what it is were going through.

FX for all in 2ww and good luck for EPU. Wishes can i just say, your numbers are fantastic and I hope to follow in your footsteps!

Lise ~ thanks for your positive thoughts - although I don't think im pg yet, today i think its just a cold but I did ovulate yestie and dtd at the right time so now FX - you never know I suppose and it did happen naturally for Janeo on BB following an IVF cycle.
GL with the jabbing and all the best for tomorrow! I had accupuncture after EPU - well not straight after but oh it was good!

Sonjalouise ~ thanks for your encouragement also - dont think I am pg at this stage but you never know.
So happy for you that you are getting things started! Sorry I can't help with your q., I don't know anything about the cells etc either and I too would be interested to know.

Motherhood ~ so sorry you had to go through all that and make such a hard decision. Sounds like you made a very wise one, will give your body a bit of a break. And its great you can try again so soon. Feeling for you hun! Hang in there and all the very best for round 2.

Hi Im new to the site but desperate to vent and get advice.
I have been ttc for 15mth and we found out that DH is infertile with poor morphology (congenital). I started my 1st IVF/ICSI cycle last month, and I over responded with 26 eggs collected, of which 10 fertilised (4x d2, 6x d5). I couldnt go through with a fresh transfer because I got mild-moderate OHSS, and was devastated with that news, but came to accept it because I couldnt have imagined feeling any worse. This cycle my doc decided I should do a natural FET. I ovulated a week late, but got to do an FET today with a blastocyst embryo. Im very excited, but what annoys me is the lack of information the clinic/docs give me as explanations to things....yesterday 2 of my good grade blastocysts thawed and died, and then a 3rd one which I was told was 100% doing well, didnt survive overnight. So they had to defrost a 4th one this morning which was transfered a few hours later I guess. When I asked, I was told it was very uncommon that 3 died, but that there was no explanation. And now Im worried they havnt told me what could happen with the one inside me..should it have defrosted for 24hrs??
Ive not been told what grade they are, or what freezing process they are using, I was just told when they were frozen that they were very good quality....so why are they not surviving? What worries me is that Im lucky to have that number of eggs frozen at the rate they are dying..but was hoping to get 2 babies from them...it doesnt sound normal.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Im trying not to focus on the negatives in my 2ww, so I think this should be my only vent

airline - thankyou !!! and i'm so happy you are progressing in your cycle....i never thought we would be so happy in "sniffing and taking drugs"

Tantee - hang in there....you may just have low hcg levels...you never know!! If its a negative outcome after BT, don't worry because your turn is coming up real soon...i just know it. Take care!

juniper76 - Good luck for Tuesday hon! I 'm praying those numbers double if not triple!!

Coral73 - thanks!! I was feeling abit down and i just went and read through all the old posts and realised there were BFP in September! I thought well we all need cheering up and the odds are low but hey it will be one, 2 or 3 of us every month...thats good enough for me. I 'm glad it brought some perspective on things..because deep down we all want it to be us, and it will be, when the time is right.

goodvibes - sorry i cannot help you because i've never been lucky enough to get any to freeze...i am sure someone will have an answer for you. All i can say is things happen that are out of our control and we just have to accept them on face value. There could be a number of reasons this happenning, but if i were you i would be demanding answers from my FS. Goold luck with everything and your 2WW!!!

AFM - hanging for Monday... i get at lease ONE egg. I just keep dreaming that i'm gonna wake up after EPU and they tell me there were no eggs to collect.

    Thanks emerald star.
I should be grateful that I have frozen eggs, as when I hear stories like yours, it puts everything into perspective. I hope you have some good luck soon
