Damn. AF left here this morning. I'd have punctured her tyres, locked her in the boot and thrown away the key if I'd known she was heading to your houses!
Just got call from lab they defrosted 5 of our day 3 embyros yesterday and 2 are viable today. Oh gosh I hope there's a good one there for tomorrow
I am PUPO!!!!! So excited Thanks so much for all your well wishes
The first embie they thawed out was OK, no damage at all, it was frozen as a 9 cell embie but defrosted as a 10 cell embie, so it's determined to divide! The embryologist was very happy with it. It was uncanny as the doctor who did my transfer was the doctor who got my friend pg, I recognised his name (my friend is always gushing about how good he is). So I told him he got my friend pg and he laughed and I told him that I didn't expect anything less! He said the spot was perfect and the transfer went very smoothly. Not like last time when I drank the water way too early and I almost passed out from the sheer pain at transfer time.
So I'm about to watch all my taped shows on the telly and stuff my face with sunflower seeds and pineapple apparently that's supposed to help with implantation. Anything is worth a go I say!
Beau so exciting about your little embies!!!! I am waiting with anticipation for your transfer tomorrow, can't wait till we are both PUPO See you in the 2WW forum!!
Thanks hun We only transferred the one embryo, I can't believe we still have 2 left! It's the first time I've had more than one embryo frozen, hopefully I won't need the other two. I've considered transferring 2 for a total of 3 seconds, lol, and I know 2 would increase my chances of pg, but I just can't risk the chance of having 2 bubs, however minute. I'm 43 hun, I just don't think I would have the energy lol. Are you doing 2?
Yay miss b! I hope all goes smoothly the next 2 weeks!
Fx for tomorrow bunnyfeet, I am sure your embies will both be perfect tomorrow.
Congrats Sarah! How exciting for you.
Positively, I would also go and enjoy your holiday and get back on the TTC wagon when you return, however like everyone else has says its a very personal choice.
Jasmine, thinking of you and hoping your little snowflake is still fighting on..
Afm, started my synaryl nose spray this morning and I must say the taste as it runs down the back of the throat is pretty ordinary. Not having the best time on the pill as I have been spotting or gushing blood every day. So can't wait for this cycle to be over so we can start the stim cycle again.
Miss B, fx you have a sticky little one inside you
forgive my ignorance but I have not yet tried IVF so I have to ask what do you have to drink at transfer time? and why? and why is it painful? looks like I have alot to learn still when we do try IVF I will be asking you all for advice
Bunnyfeet, FX to you too hope you have two sticky little ones
Jasmine, still saying my prayers for you you certainly have a little fighter in there
AFM - still waiting on AF to start, have some cramps and started spotting today. Those bloody progesterone pessaries really mess up my cycle but i can't complain as when we do get a BFP i'll be thanking my lucky stars for them.
Seeing the FS next Wednesday to get the ok to start IVF, hubby wants us to try one more IUI but I am not so sure. I know the odds are supposed to be better the more times you try but are we just wasting time and money. Can you guys give me your thoughts? you seem to all have alot more experience and knowledge with regards to Fertility treatments.
Positively, GL with your FS app. next week. I can't help you with the IUI versus the IVF as I've never had the opportunity to do an IUI (OH swimmers just weren't coming 'out', he has a total blockage due to the scarring after he had the vasectomy reversal). I suppose there are so many goes you van have of IUI before going to IVF, I'm sure the FS will give you his/her opinion.
Bunnyfeet, GL for tomorrow hun!! Can't wait to hear how it all goes, you must be pretty excited now! And I forgot to say, yes, my embies are all 3 day ones
Thanks Miss B and Joe! Yes very excited and nervous! Don't think ill be sleeping much tonight! x
Positively, same as Miss B, never had opportunity to do iui as DH swimmers are almost non existent as he has a hormone and thyroid issues. I would say your fs will have an opinion but at the end of the day do what feels right for you! GL whatever you decide x
