Rob - 23 eggs - wow! Hope you're feeling okay and not suffering any ill effects from EPU. Rob - numbing cream? What is it called and where do I get it? Not yet started injections but want to be prepared!
TwoMums - wonderful news on your embies!! Lots of luck for ET tomorrow.
Lani - can't give any advice on your figures I'm sorry but hope the monitoring is going well for your FET
JBM - so so sorry to hear AF has arrived. Hope you're doing okay.
Mindhugs - love the new alias!
Possums - welcome back - GL with going a la natural and hopefully you'll have no further need for BB forum!
Lea F - Welcome and GL with your first IVF cycle. Glad your injections are going well. I am also on my first IVF cycle though still on syneral at the mo.
EmmaPenguin - Hope the TWW is going okay and fingers crossed for beginners luck for you!
bella55 - hope the injections are going okay!
AFM have started the syneral and so far it is absolutely fine - kind of wondering if I'm doing it properly to be honest?? It feels so innocuous it just doesn't feel like it could possibly be doing anything - but I'm sure it is.
Quick question on stimming - just wondering from everyone how many days does your FS ask you to do of injections before you go for your first ultrasound and blood test to see how you are responding?
Kmond, the cream is called Emla cream. But be warned it's about $80 per tube which for me did a cycle. I also bought tegaderm clear skin, put about a 20c piece worth of cream on an hour before needle with the skin over and it was perfect.
Funny though cause I used to be an ambo, just resigned last year to work on having another baby, and never had a problem with jabbing everyone else ha ha.
The injections etc are dependant on your bodies reaction to the drugs. Liek your blood levels and how the follicles are growing apparantly.
To be honest tonight I feel better pain wise than after my first cycle. I feel tired but I am assuming thats from the anasthetic more than anything. But trust me I plan to rest flat out for next few days up til transfer on Tuesday. I also felt like this time nothing was happening and look so maybe it's a good thing hun.
I am hanging out to know how many fertilised. I would be happy with 10, 15 great any more brillinat, but I don't want to hold my breath cause you just don't know. Last time I had 13, 9 were mature, of them 6 fertilised we put 1 back, froze 4 and 1 was no good. When we went back for transfer none survived that thaw. They were great embryo's they said and so I learnt not to expect anything at all.
Twomums I am just as excited for your transfer as waiting for the call about our embies. Lots of luck you are doing great.
JBM How are you going hun, has hubby reconsidered. Mine has also said no more stim at least this year so lucky I got eggs. Now they just need to be fighters and either move in fresh oir survive the thaw.
To everyone else wherever you are in your cycles. Let's bring on those BFP's.
Rob: that's a great result keeping fingers crossed for fertilization.
JBM: Hoep you are okay - are you already thinking about next steps or just taking some time? Look after yourself.
Bella: I was told it's okay to take them straight after each other but to leave at least an inch in between the injections, so I always did one on one side of my belly and the other one on the other side and swapped sides each night.
Hi lovely ladies,
I am putting myself back in here even though AF has not yet here, she is due tomorrow and fully expect her to arrive.
So another BFN for me this month, it is my 6th BFN in 12 months.
I am feeling a little numb, haven't let myself fully analyse what this means and am trying to still look forward with hope, but it is getting very hard. I am off to see FS on Monday and will hopefully go straight into a flare cycle, so I will be official cycling as of Monday.
Will catch up on everyone's news then, all the best to everyone who is having EPU and ET this week.
- earlier on in this forum I gave my tip for injections. Actually I only used it for my trigger, but you could use it for all injections. Just use one of those freezer bricks like the ones you use in eskies. You place it on the injection site for about one minute and then go for it. You will not feel a thing. I know that Twomums took my advice and didn't feel a thing either.
I also took my trigger out of the fridge half an hour before injecting it. The solution tends to get thick when it's too cold and hurts more going in - or so I'm told. This did not hinder my IVF treatment at all. I had 16 follicles and got 16 eggs at EPU.
Good luck with injections I hope this helps you too. Saves money on Emla cream.
AF finally arrived after a 43 day cycle. So as I predicted it was probably because of the hormone injections from last IUI which stuffed my whole system up. Thanks for your thoughts along the way. x
I can't believe I am actually happy AF is visiting, I will be starting my Puregon injections tomorrow night (Sun) or Mon night and I am very excited to be starting the process again.
I really hope it works this time for obvious reasons but also because we are currently trying to buy a house so can't really afford to do IVF just yet.
GL everyone and thanks for all your help and support in here xo
Hi everyone,
A quick one from me as i'm about to go to work! Had my B/T and U/S today after 6 days of injections - they didn't tell me much (which annoyed me a little!) but my E2 is 523 but i think there may have only been 2 large follies (about 13mm) and i think around 13 on the right and around 12 on the left (i'm gussing the scan results from what she typed on the screen they didn't tell me!) So have my puregon and orgalutran tonight and Sun then repeat B/T and U/S Monday. What does my E2 level sound seems a little low????
I came home and had a sleep for an hour or so - feeling quite bloated - off to work now will check in later.
xxBella
P.s - congrats Loops on AF arrival - now you can start GL!!!!
PPS - mindhugs tips for painfree injecting works - orgalutran didn't even hurt last night!
