Howdy all.
I've been hiding out since my last cycle results a couple of weeks ago. I think I was in denial that I was actually in this catagory again. Anyhow, I am getting back on the wagon again so to speak.
Will try to catch up with personalls again next post.
Not sure when we will get back to repromed for our last FET. Have only just got medicare back from the last one. Ruddy money is delegated to paying for our aircon repair bill and the visa :( Hate being back in the waiting game.
Hope everyone else is going ok. handfuls of :baby dust: being sprinkled over you all.
just a quick one , got my FET fri morn , then we off camping for 4 nights, back on tue. will do personals then, good luck to all my friends, yeah.
got fingers crossed >
A big hello to everyone:hello:
Just wanted to let you know that I have pulled my self out from the hole i was in and am feeling much better. Besides I just have to say, how cute is my puppy in my avatar - it looks just like my little girl Lilly and I smile everytime i see it!!!
Hello All
This is my first time on this thread so hello to everyone.
We are just starting out on our first IVF cycle. Doing down reg and on the pill at the moment and will start synarel in about 2 weeks which I'm not looking forward to at all with all this talk about how much it hurts etc!!! I sometimes wonder whether I shouldn't do so much reading - perhaps ignorance is bliss?
Anyway best of luck to you all
Kmond welcome on board! I have days when I think i'm reading too much...........however this is the best forum and you can learn sooooo much! just choose what you want to listen to! Good luck on your journey!

KMond, welcome, congrats on starting your first cycle, it is so exciting. As I mentioned above, I never had any trouble with Syneral, guess you will just have to wait and see. Look forward to seeing how your cycle goes.
To anyone I have missed, hi :hello:.
AFM, I have a scan tomorrow to see where my follie is at, I am hoping I will be ready to trigger. I can?t wait for this FET, hoping praying finally it will be the one.
Hugs to all. xx

Mollygirl - welcome back
BDT - Good luck with your scan today
True Blue - hi my friend. Hope you are not going too crazy waiting. Have a great time at Elmore
:hello: to everyone and all the best x
AFM - Just waiting and hoping that AF wont come but I think she is on her way. I am all ready to start IUI however. Ive had headaches which are a pretty big sign AF is on her way although I havent had sore nipples which could be a good thing. So really not too sure. Will keep everyone posted
Good afternoon girls,
Loops - hope AF isnt on her way but if so, glad all is in readiness for your IUI.
BDT - good luck with your scan tomorrw and hope you can trigger tomorrow as well. See you in TWW soon :D
Kmond - Hello and WELCOME :D This is a terrific forum with lots of lovely girls here to help and share experiences so feel free to ask questions etc. I found the syranel to be fine and it didnt hurt a bit. Just like any other nasal spray Ive used so dont stress too much. Good luck.
Mollygirl - good to see you back online and glad your feeling better. Yes your puppy is VERY cute!
JBM - hope your FET went well this morning and enjoy your 4 days away. See you in TWW next week :D
Sazzafrazz - good to see you back and hope your next cycle isnt too far away. I hate the fact that you have to pay for cycles upfront now and then wait until after its finished to get your receipt and then wait for your medicare rebate. Its a PAIN! Its not like we are all made of money. Hope it happens soon.
Emma - hope your scan went well today and you have some nice follies :D
Brisvegas - Hello and WELCOME! :D Hope your travelling well and good luck with your first cycle!
Hello to everyone else. Its so busy in here!
AFM, not much to report. Have no symptoms and Im not sure if implantation has happened as yet. Ive had different answers when I have asked as to how long after transfer implantation happens. Im hoping I start feeling SOMETHING soon! My head cold has eased and Im feeling alot better which is good.
Enjoy your weekend (long one for those in Victoria!)
Take care,
Tania
Baby2bee - sorry I missed you in my last post. Hope your doing ok and not going TOO crazy in TWW! I noticed we both have our blood test on the 13th. Here's to 2 BFP's :D
Thanks MissMagpie
All the best for your BT on the 13th
Baby2Bee - All the best on the 13th to you as well
:D
Baby2Bee - You must be just about going nuts by now, the TWW is agonising isnt it, oh well, not too much longer.
Rob - Hoping AF comes sooner than later huh, get right back on the horse.
BrisVegas - Good luck to you on your first and hopefully last stim cycle, fingers crossed for you.
Emma - How did your scan go today, I hope it went well.
Smithy - How much longer to go now?
Wouldloveabubba - Hang in there, got to be in it to win it right. Stay hopeful sweetie!
Tania - Good luck for your BT, very soon ohhh nervous!
JBM - Congrats on your transfer, good luck the TWW!!
KMond - Good luck, I hope everything goes swimmingly for you first time around!
To anyone I have missed sorry, there is just so much going on in here hey!!
AFU (As for us) - We go in for a u/s and bloods in the morning. It is Day 9 of stims today, we have one more shot of 225iu Gonal F in the pen! Hopefully we wont have to get anymore (wishful thinking i reckon) but anyway, we will have a lot more to go on than last time I hope. Will update you all in the morning.
Sleep tight girls!
Good luck with your scan tomorrow Baby Dreamtime - look forward to hearing when your transfer will be !!! There is a BFP in the March TWW thread just waiting for you !!!
So annoyed, just found out that a lady i used to work with just had a baby. Its great and all but she's already had two kids who are grown up now and she would be in her late 40's. I think its completely unfair that she can get pregnant and have babies and i cant. I actually think that its completely unfair that it feels like everyone can get pregnant and have babies except for me.
On a more sane note this forum had helped me a lot and its comforting to know that im not the only one out there with problems and that there are people who have it worse than me.
Thanks for your support over the last few weeks everyone!
Busy - Its so hard isnt it when others have babies and you can't. And everyone seems to have them at your hardest times etc too I find. I think its just that we notice it so much. But don't worry there are plenty of people out there that struggle and that lady just happens to be lucky.
Good luck and hang in there, im sure you'll get there when the time is right for you.
:grouphug:
Take care.
I am currently wondering whether AF is coming I keep getting mixed thoughts about whether it will come or not. It's driving me nuts, I just want to know one way or another.
*quick hijack*
:noaf: loops :noaf: I am protesting for you, and everyone else :noaf:
Hi All,
I am new to this but looks like you have a great network of people here and really think I could do with that.
:bluedust::pink-babydust:
Thanks NaeNae, here's hoping xo
Yep you are certainly in the right place Laniwantsababy, it has been great for me
Thanks Loops12.
I am sure everyone will be helpful and supportive.
Ho Loops
Please excuse my ignorance but what is AF? I really dont know what some of these abbreviations stand for. Some of them i can guess but others...no idea.
Im feeling better about other people having babies now, my strategy is to eat chocolate. not really that healthy but do i care???
Anyway, heres hoping AF doesnt come.
AF stands for Aunty Flo as in your period. I had never come across this term before being on conception boards.
A list of general BB acronyms is found HERE and some more specific definitions of Assisted Conceptions terms are https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...onception.html.
HTHs (now you can work out what this means ;))
Well we went for our scan and she has 3 on one side and 2 and a couple of smaller ones on the other side. Still need to take the gonal f and lucrin until the next scan on tuesday and he has upped the dose to 300iu. He said we wont get any more follies than what we have now. So we have 5 plus a couple of maybe's at this stage. Hopefully it will be quality over quantity hey girls! Her E2 level was 450 is this bad?

Hi everyone, Im Mel. I'm 31. My partner of 3 years and i have decided to have a baby. Bad luck he had a vasectomy over ten years ago. Anyway, I'm on day two of my very first IVF cycle. I have a 8 and 10 yo from my previous marriage and fell pregnant very quickly with them so I'm hoping for beginners luck! My partner also has 3 children. Anyone have a similar experience? Mel...:)
Hi MellMell .... Welcome to BB - I am on day 2 of an IVF Flare cycle as well .. We can be cycle buddies
Hello all you lovely ladies xx
Thankyou..........
I have my EPU on 15/05 so i think its a longer cycle than normal??? Not sure. I have to be on the pill for a while first. I currently have 2 friends preg from IVF; one with twins after a failed fresh and a failed frozen, now preg after 3rd fresh. Other friend got preg on first go of IVF but had what seemed liked 100 iui cycles first, one MC after natural conception. Both are due in may/june :). Can anyone give me advice on blast t'fers? Do you wait to see how many eggs/embies you have before making a choice? There is so much info out there. Any other hints/tips for new players? Cheers girls.........
Hi lovely ladies,
Check out my new avy, I love it, DH is Greek and we love Santorini, hence the inspiration behind it.
WLAB, best of luck in your flare cycle, praying it is the one for you. Big hugs.
Loops, hope AF stays away, GL in your TWW.
Tania, same to you, hope you are coping ok, I have ready implantation takes place anywhere between 6dpo and 12dpo, I did read somewhere that there was some theory that implantation takes longer or is delayed slightly in IVF. Not sure where they got this from, might be due to average hcg BT results being slightly lower??? :goodluck: to you.
Baby2Bee, GL to you too in your TWW.
TwoMums, those follies sound great, lets hope the upped dose and a few more days does the trick. Re E2 levels, they use this to measure the maturity of the follies you have, I think that a fully mature follie equals something like 400 to 600 E2. The closer to EPU, the more rapidly the E2 levels rise. GL for your scan on Tue.
Mollygirl, glad to hear you are feeling better, I hope this new protocol makes all the difference and hope QFG comes up with some new ideas. Thinking of you.
Busy, you are telling me, my SIL has just fallen pregnant first month trying with triplets naturally, would you believe it. I have had 4+ years of watching everyone else fall pregnant, it is the hardest thing I have ever had to cope with in my life. Also, keep in mind chocolate has caffeine, so don?t go overboard.
Hi Lani, welcome, GL in your TWW with your FET, hoping you get your BFP.
Dusty, I hope you are well, I just checked your journal, glad to hear your cycles are doing so great, the TCM must really make a difference. Thinking of you.
Mellmell, :hello: and welcome to you too. :crossfingers: for beginners luck, from what I have seen in this forum over the last year, it seems those that have MFI and go on to IVF seem to have success right away. And coupled with previous pregnancies, this puts you in really good stead. GL to you.
Hi to everyone else, good luck with your sniffing, jabbing, EPU and waiting. Xx
AFM, I has my scan yesterday, my lining was 9.1 mm and a follie at 17 mm, FS triggered me right then and there, so I should O at midnight tonight, and ET is scheduled for next Sat 14th. :crossfingers:I can't wait. DH and I will DTD tonight anyway.
Love and kisses to everyone.
Hi lovelies,
Nothing exciting from me to report. Having (sorry TMI) EXTREME vulva itchiness since last cycle ended. Is this normal does anyone know? I usually get a bit like it on the down side of a cycle but not this early. I'm guessing my prog levels arent right yet? Arrrggghhhh, not comfy
Really just popped in to wish everyone all the best for March. We need a big set of BFP like Jan.
Hugs, Sazz
Hello all you lovely girls
I am just popping in to sprinkle some :bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust: for you all.
Good luck for whatever stage you are at:goodluck:
Hi Ladies, sorry I haven't been around for a while. I've had a hectic time at work and no opportunity to get onto the BB threads. Thank you for your support re my cancelled cycle. To update you, the cancellation did not go ahead!!!! A BT the following day showed that my levels were dropping but they were just taking their sweet time. Finally on Sat they confirmed that I was officially supressed and I have now had two puregon injections with my first scan booked for Wed morning.
Will I potentially have an idea of how many eggs I have by Wed??? Also, today I'm noticing that I am urinating like there's no tomorrow. My bladder feels continuously full. I haven't had no more than normal to drink and am needing the bathroom at least once an hour before I feel like I'm going to explode. Is this something to be concerned about? I can't seem to find frequent urination as a side effect of puregon!?!
To those of you asking questions about the various types of cycles I don't even know what I'm having (synarel starting on CD22 and just started puregon two days ago). I might have to do my research on the different types of cycles that can be done in IVF so we can all be on the same page.
I apologise that I haven't had the opportunity to catch up on everyone's posts since I was last here but wanted to wish everyone all the best for whatever stage you are at. Will try to check in more frequently!!!!
I just thought i would let you all know that the much anticipated BT did not occur today. AF came yesterday. Very upset, angry etc etc. Cant try again til april. GRRR.
Anyway i guess you all know how im feeling.
Oh Busy I am so so so sorry.
Busy, sorry to hear of your bad news. :crossfingers: for Apri.
I had my blood test today and it is :BFN:, had a reading of 2 so they say something tried to happen. This is also what they said last cycle, which ended in a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, so I am waiting to hear back from FS if i need to do anything else.
:goodluck: to all.
Sending lots and lots of :bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust:
busy, so sorry to see your news. I feel for you hun!!!!
Wishing you all the best for your next cycle.
Well guys we went for our scan and we only have 4 promising follicles. 1 x 14mm 2 x 11 on the right side. 1 x 12 and couple of smaller ones that probably wont get any bigger. Dr said that the 14mm one is the dominate follicle and that it is probably sucking up all the FSH. We have to go back on Friday for another scan and keep up with 300iu Gonal-F and Lucrin. By Friday it will be 15 days of stims...not looking good for IVF so it is most likely that we will have to convert this cycle to IUI instead. At least we will have 4 follies and a brand new sperm donor. Hopefully this will be just the change we need. Sorry for no personals this morning, just wanted to update, I'm at work...Feeling a little dissapointed about converting to IUI. We have done 11 IUI's already and usually triggered by day 12 and insemination of day 14, not day 18....Our last IUI was with 4 follicles also and nothing happened............ :wall::wall::wall:
I apologise for my ignorance TwoMums but howcome you'll have to go with IUI instead of IVF? You can see this is all still so very new to me!
Hi everyone,
I'm not doing much and nothing is happening with me, but I can't help posting. I am just waiting waiting. Am 1dpo today, I have my ET booked in for Saturday. I am praying my blasties will thaw ok, but feeling very positive.
Sazz, Sorry I can't help you re the itchiness, I haven't had this. Hope you are well.
Neptune, thanks for popping in, you are an inspiration, I am sneakily going to the PALTTC tread to see how you are going. Thinking of you.
Jaxi, Great news you did not cancel. Will Wed be 5 days of injections? If so, seems a little early to see what is going on. Either way I hope you have some lovely follies growing. GL with your scan.
Busy, so sorry AF arrived, GL with your next cycle.
Lani, so sorry about your BT. Interesting they are suggesting something tried to happen, from what I have heard most women have some small level of hcg in their system all the time. I have read that a normal non-pregnant hCG level is under 2; however, labs have different standards as to what they consider positive. Some lab norms say a level is negative under 5, under 10, or under 25. I would clarify this with your FS, as it makes a big difference if your result is a very early m/c or just a normal low level of hcg, and potentially how they treat you further. Would love to hear what they say about this, as a low level would still give us some hope that something is happening.
TwoMums, I have heard lots of inspirational stories of lower follie numbers that have resulted in a BFP. Either way, whether you go to EPU or do IUI, I really hope this month is the month for both of you. GL for Friday.
Hi to everyone else. I hope you are all well.
Jaxi - Dr said he would like to have at least 8 follicles to make it worthwhile to go ahead with IVF. If we still only have 4 follies on Friday, we will trigger and do IUI instead. If that is not sucessfull we will do IVF again next cycle, starting on 300iu of Gonal F straightaway to try and get 8+ follicles. Kim is what he calls a "poor responder".
Babydreamtime - Do you mean cycles that were converted to IUI or IVF that went ahead with low follie numbers?
Just letting you all know spoke with the clinic again and FS wants to repeat BT on Friday.
Babydreamtime- I know what you are saying about low levels of HCG could be normal.
I will keep you updated with what happens on friday.
Also can everyone please advise what FS they are seeing if they are in Sydney. I am looking at getting a second opinion but thought I would see who if anyone others are using.
:goodluck::goodluck::goodluck::crossfingers::cross fingers::crossfingers:
Busy, Im so sorry that AF came, that must be such a disapointment and so close to your BT date aswell. Good Luck for April though.
