kbudgie, my d&c cycle was 35 days. I know the hcg was gone (or at least low enough to get a BFN on the HPT) in less than 2 weeks and I tracked my cycle (OPK & BBT) to detect O. Try to be a bit kinder to yourself. At one month post-d&c I was barely finding my way out of the deep depression I had fallen into and I struggled for months. It wasn't until the EDD passed that I really started to move on properly. Not everyone would need that long, but there's no shame in needing more time. We all handle the grief differently. I know it has been a long wait, but this cycle will end and you will move on to the next. FX the next one brings you more happiness.

Rai, I asked a doctor once coz someone at work had shingles. She said it's only contagious if you have not had chicken pox and rub the sores. If you've had chicken pox apparently you can't catch shingles, you can develop them but that could happen any time, nOt from contact. However she said, try not to touch someone else's sores. Well duh! If unsure, call the nurses line for reassurance.

I had chicken pox when I was three and got shingles when I was six...very rare for a kid to get it apparently but much better than getting it as an adult...don't take any chances!

Just started all our PGD testing again as our clinic now uses a new clinic for their feasibility testing...hoping it doesn't take too long to get it sorted...fx

hoping everyone is travelling well xx

Mel - thats awesome news ... the old fashioned way is so much better and cheaper lol

furbabies - any news, hoping they are all blastys

    me4ever - good luck!

rai - I think we are all in the weightloss section.. I know i need to drop about 15kg to feel "better" about myself 4 of those kg crept on when I started last november and fell pregnant. My addiction to baking doesn't help, but it seems to be my therapy at the moment.

AFM - CD 31.... come ON AF! I usually run like clock work but the d&c and boobie leakage has stuffed me around. Hubby found $400 extra in one of our accounts so we can pay off some of our money owing to our FS this week. Finally and what a PAIN that was. After having a fentons done during egg collection a few months ago then being told we cant DTD for 6 weeks, then falling pregnant, followed by me not wanting hubby to come near me, then the d&c.. we still really should have waited another 2 weeks.... but no matter I still think I would have been in glorious amount of uncomfy pain as what seems to be the area that was sutured sort of split open. Not sure if its entirely normal, but I guess not - booked back in to see the FS, its never ending, I swear they must think I am a hypochondriac.

Having a bit of a "flat" day today. I really find that I'm not myself when I'm on the pill - seems to really make me feel quite depressed. Doesn't help that things are quiet at work so I have too much time on my hands to think and wonder if this TTC journey will ever end.

Another 1 1/2 weeks on the pill then hopefully this cycle will move along a bit quicker!

Sorry for the late list. Busy day today - our miracle IVF princess turned 2! I'm going to need the long weekend to recover!

Hi and welcome (back) to those (re-)joining us!

Furbabies, I hope the EPU goes well! Let us know how you're doing when you're feeling up to it!

Afm, I'm so over this TTC crap. +OPK days ago, temp rise 3 days later (matching up with CM to suggest O was 48 hours after the +OPK) then temp dropped back down the next day (yesterday) and stayed down again this morning. It's times like this I just want to quit.

feeling really dumb here, i got my thermometer last month and didn't get the chance to get used to it with our bfp. .now that my cycle has returned i took out again but the screen kept saying lo. i spent 3 days looking for a battery which was $4 would you believe only to change the thing and still get it saying lo!!
eventually it dawned on me to check the instructions and yep, that is what it does when you are supposed to start taking temp. at least when the battery actually does run out i have a spare ;-)

kbudgie, sounds the same as my thermometer.

Speaking of my thermometer, it must have read my post from last night because my temp went up to the proper post-O range today. No idea if I O'd yesterday or back when I had the +OPK. I'm hoping it was near the +OPK because we didn't BD the last 3 days since we were so busy/tired.
