Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception Jan 2013

Hi, I just want to clarafy (i think that's how you spell it if not sorry) a few things in my last text.

First of all i know all you lovely ladies are in the same boat and want to spend as less time here as posible and get your bfp asap.
What i ment when i said i dont think i could cope with 3 years of ttc i ment it took 3 years to fall pg with ds 3 and it consumed my life
everything was about falling pregnant it was just so heartbreaking each month, the disapointment, the emotional toll it took was just not good
and i have decided to only give myself to april and then give up and just be happy. And as for getting too old i did not mean it like that i ment every
lady in my family has gone through early menopause usually early 40's it starts

Kbudgie sorry to hear your struggling ATM, I haven't been in that position before but I know if it was me it would take a long time to get over the pain.

Juniper I don't know why it is taking so long to come... For me it doesn't make sense I always have a 28 day cycle but I've gone from 6 months of zoladex then the pill then straight to IVF so Feb was my last "natural" cycle so my body is most likely just out of whack. I will be thinking of you tomorrow :(

I'm dipping my toes I the water here - just want to say hi and good luck to everyone :)
DH and I are getting ready to start the ivf process for bub no.2, and it's making me nervous. Last time around we were very lucky on our ninth attempt, and now have a gorgeous dd. Hopefully it will be easier this time!

rai, I'll probably hit menopause before 40, so I hear you on the ticking clock!

Afm, AF showed up properly just after midnight. No idea why I'd get a light bleed, then nothing and then another light bleed and then finally AF 27 hours after the first bleed... Haven't had that happen before, so it's very weird for me. And weird always makes me worry about menopause... :wall:

Mel, hi and welcome! :welcome: I'm sorry to hear you've had such a difficult time recently. I hope that's the last of your misfortune for a long time. Please let me know when/if you would like to be added to the list. I just need to know where you are in your cycle (eg cycle day, dpo or just "waiting for AF").

Hi ladies im very nervous but i took a preg test just before and for the first time in 16 months there was two lines.2nd line is very faint but still there.will test again in a few days to see if the line gets darker.i have taken an anti nausea tablet so hopefully that hasnt affected things coz ive had bad gastro for the past two days.wish me luck ladies.

And this has happened 2 weeks before we were going to start ivf!!!

W&D how exciting! I'm keeping my knees and toes crossed for you that this is it!

Juniper - Someone told me once that a lot of stress can muck up your cycle... I suppose coming to the 1 year since mm/c doesn't help. Maybe it was that in this case? I know I've had it once or twice before that AF seemed to show up, then took off for a few days and came back with a vengeance. I was very stressed out at work and about the whole TTC'ing. How's your ankle healing?

AFM just quietly waiting for AF and in the mean time stalking you! Not much happening here. Just hoping that I've just ovulated or am about to, not actively TTC at the moment, just killing time till the next FET starts. My family have left the country again :( and have started back at work :$. Am glad it's weekend now. Thinking of you and sending hugs!

I'm just currently taking synarel and waiting for AF so that I can start my injections. Feels like TTC is sooo much waiting!

Ladies, I hope you are all well, and to those who have AF visiting, I hope she is kind while she is here and that she departs soon!!!

AFM- I've been having a few weird things happening... I don't want to say I think they are symptoms because I really don't want to get my hopes up and I have thought from the beginning of this cycle that it was going to produce a bfn... My lower back has been a bit twingy (not sure if it is from work or not) and I have had a headache for 3 days now and I can't seem to get rid of it... It really sucks!!! Also I have been VERY NAUGHTY and been eating a tonne of soft serve ice cream from Maccas- I have now gained 1.5 kilos since just before Christmas, which means I need to start kicking back into gym gear!!! I don't want to put anymore weight back on!!!

me4ever, thanks, I guess that could be it. It's reassuring to know others have had the same thing happen. Ankle has been playing up (pain and swelling) since Christmas so the physio strapped it when I saw her on Thursday. Lol, looks impressive (like a football player!), but it definitely feels a lot better with the extra support. Still no driving and tomorrow will be two months since the injury.

Jo, sorry to say that a backache is a bad sign for me (I always get lower back pain just before and during AF), but if it's out of the ordinary for you then maybe it's a good sign for you? My headaches are normally tied to how much water I drink, but I know hormones can cause them too. I hope it either means good news for you or stops hurting soon. I've been bad on the food too. I'm giving myself another couple of days (to get me through AF) but then need to be far more careful about my food choices. I've gained so much weight in the last two months! :(

I just wondered does anyone else have anything like this. I am getting some odd pains sort of where my ovaries are. today I had a few twinges and yesterday at one point I was doubled over for a minute. not sure if this is possibly anything to do with recent mc?

Not sure sorry i normally only get that sort of pain if ive ohss.gdluck hope you find out what it is.

AFM - Think i'm going to cancel acupunture this month till school starts to make it easier and also i dont have very much if any hope this month
i'm on clomid again this round which i'm not happy about. I fell pg with ds2 first round of clomid but was on it so many times in the years trying to
fall with ds3 that i have no faith in clomid at all i just cant wait till next cycle to start the injections hopefully that will give me a better chance of falling
pg something has to.

Hi ladies couldnt wait till tomoz to test again,so what do i do but of course test not once not twice but 3 times today.lol.a pharmacist i talked to suggested too incase the first couple are faulty.all came back positive and all darker than yesterdays test! Will see doc tues to see if i could get a blood test to confirm!

Honestly starting to get scared now about our first appointment with Fertility Centre. It's less than 5 weeks away, and with all the dramas that have prevented us from proceeding with IVF in the past it's really got me worried about what this next 5 weeks will bring. :cry:

my first day back at work today. I have some good friends there so it made it easier. hard to knows what to say when people ask how was my break, i want to say yeah aside from having a miscarriage and struggling not to cry everyday for the last few weeks it was great thanks.

Mel i had an appointment with the clinic in dandenong but canceled before we had it as we got our bfp, we have decided to go there again if we have no luck within 3 cycles so i might bump into you lol

Maybe we might bump into each other there. It would be nice to meet some people going through IVF and being able to talk to people who know what it's all about...although living so remotely, I would guess this forum is possibly going to become my safe haven.

Mel - try not to stress out too much - once you finally start ivf there is enough stress involved. Try stay positive!
