Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them.
As it's easy to forget to remove your ticker, please be advised that we will remove it for you if it's posted in here. Just easier, is all.
I just wanted to say Happy New Year to all of you, I haven't posted for awhile as I was in the 2ww, then went on holidays but I'm back now. I just want to encourage you all, keep up the sniffing, jabbing, and and staying positive. I am thinking of you all and sending you all
I got my BFP on the 27th of Dec when I had my BT. I was amazed, and I feel so blessed, its been 13 years of never seeing a BFP (unexplained infertility), 4 IUI's, 1IVF cycle and finally a miracle happened, I just want to encourage you all ladies, if it happened to me it can happen to you. I every day and I still do every day, I am grateful and I know that miracles do happen, it will happen to you, stay positive and I'm for BFP for all of you for 2009!
Hello ladies
Guess I will jump on this thread now, have been away for awhile due to christmas and BFN's but I am back now and starting a new cycle, started jabbing last night, BT on CD10 then see where we go from there I am thinking if this cycle doesn't have any success then I will talk to FS about moving onto the next step which will be IUI's depending on money situation as DP and I have just started proceedings to buy a house. Anyway wishing everyone a great new year and hope to see more BFP's this year.
AFM - i had my HSG done yesterday... no dye got into my tubes so sadly its blocked tubes for me.... i had prepared myself for that as this was the result i got after my LAP in Nov... So bring on the FS appt next week i cant wait to see what he has planned for me
Hi sara69 - sorry to hear that you are upset. You still have a couple of days for the others to get bigger. the 14mm one also sounds good too, by friday it could be big enough as well. Im sending positive thoughts your way!!!!!!
Mollygirl - glad to see your positivity shine thru! hopefully it will rub off on us too.
Nikki - at least you will have some answers next week when you see the FS. Hope it all goes well!
Hi wishing baby - i might see you over in the iui thread soon.
AFM - scan today insemination looks like it will be on Friday. The Nurse asked if I had eva had endo (as there was some grainy bits on the scan), I said I had never been told that I had it. Does anyone know how they test for it? As I dont know if Ive been tested for it, she had me a bit worried.
Hi Toby - I was always under the impression that they had to do a laparoscopy to check for endo. Fairly simple operation where they make a small incision in your belly button and stick a tiny camera inside and have a look. I had one last year - fairly straight forward. Could be wrong though - there may be other ways to check. I'm sure the girls in here will know the answers.
HI Ladies- have lurked a little in here lately but guess its time to get posting again. We did an IVF/PGD cycle at the end of 2008 which was very sadly BFN and none made it to freeze so back to square one. I am currently on provera so I can bring on AF next week ( don't cycle on my own) and will be doing antagonst IVF ( no PGD this time) hopefully start next Thurs... yipee for new hope in 2009!
Mollygirl - what a great attitude and I hope 2009 brings you a much deserved pg! Your FS sounds like a real darl. Your truly need someone working hard for you and not to feel like just another number
Sara - have replied to you in PGD thread. Have my fingers crossed for Friday
Toby - endo usually diagnosed with Lap as Molly has described. Don't stress to much. Plenty of women with endo have hassle free pregnancies
Sorry for those I've missed. Still catching up on everyone
time for me to start posting properly again - have been a bit absent with some disappointments but ready to engage and feel good again. Great to hear positivity from a number of you too!
Jen - congrats on your BFP - good to kick the new thread off with fab news.
Wishing Baby - good luck for this cycle
Nikki - hope your FS appointment goes well - it's always good to get a new plan to focus on
Sara - I am sorry you are feeling disappointed, I have my fingers crossed for you. I understand what it's like when it doesn't go to plan - it really sucks!
Molly - great to hear your cheeriness - keep it up - it's good for all of us!
Toby - Good luck for Friday
Meredith - we are on a similar plan, I am on Provera at the moment as have crazy cycles but I am hoping to do a FET after some Gonal F as I didn't respond to the Progynova. Praying for both of us AF shows up next week. I haven't done Provera before and I have heard it doesn't work for everyone and since I don't seem to have normal reactions to other drugs a teeny part of me is a bit worried it won't work. But hey I am now trying to look at it from the perspective that at least with everything new my FS tries we get more information...
Lots of luck and hugs out to everyone,
Aleenta

Provera worked for me although it made me feel very tired, like I mean having a two hour nanna nap and still going to bed at 8pm and sleeping until 6am. I was toally shattered.
Sara - cycle buddy we can do this I am responding very slowly this cycle, it is just our bodies recovering from christmas. I have to say it has been a while since I have used Puregon but geez i dont remeber feeling this tired and hot and i have become and insomniac, oh and It has also given me the runs (TMI i know) but at least I am not about to murder anyone this time.
Toby this is our first IUI cycle and up until now havent even thought about insemination, but is it really just like having a pap smear? Or are the doctors telling porkies.
Completely off the subject, My new piano got delivered today I am so excited. Yay!
I'm very new to this, so I hope I'm in the right place.
My husband and I have been TTC for over 2 years now. I have endometriosis (mild), and slightly polycystic ovaries. My husband's sperm is apparently stellar. So I suppose there is no real reason for us to be having huge issues.
But, we've been through 10 stimulated cycles (clomid), 6 IUIs, and have just had our second IVF round (ICSI this time), so I'm officially in the 2WW.
I have had OHSS twice, (the first time was truly awful and I was really sick - this time isn't quite as bad). On our first IVF cycle, 15 eggs were retrieved, and one fertilised. This time 19 were retrieved, 16 fertilised, but only two developed enough to warrant transfer.
I suppose I just felt the need for some support. We're not telling anyone that we're going through this, and I don't know of anyone who has. I find myself reading these forums for hours every night, so thought I might as well participate, because it might help me.
It's been so wonderful reading your posts. It's really nice to know there are others out there going through the same thing
Jenc77 welcome!!! - i am sure you will find this forum an extremely helpful and friendly place to hang out. I can't believe it has taken you so long to post - you have certain been through quite a long journey.
AFM - well i am on day 4 of the Progynova leading up to my FET. I have my scan booked in for the 14th Feb and am praying that everything goes to plan. If so I should get my BFP at the end of the month. Is anyone else on a similar timeline - would love to know who I will be in the TWW with - god knows i will need the support and someone to hold my hand!!!
Jenc77 - Welcome, I am reasonably new to this on my first IVF round just in my TWW. Everyone is very supportive and I am sure we will all do our best to you out ...
Aleenta I am ing for both of us for and a on Friday although mine may not happen til Sat now. We are in the country and I have travelled to the city for everything but they offered to do my test up here on the Friday. Today my hubby informs me better we travel 1 1/2 hours to city on Saturday morning remembering we have to milk cows at 4am and be there between 7:00am and 8:30am. Blardy men.
I feel something different today just can't put my finger on it. Doesn't feel like AF but doesn't feel normal either very wierd feeling. Just feels like I have a tennis ball in my lower stomach when I bend over or bring my knees up, no pain just feels different.
Diamond and Baby Dreamtime 13 was lucky for me and hubby, we only had 13 eggs then they found an extra one in lab so I am sure it will be lucky for you both too.
mollygirl77 - There is a great TWW thread that you will hear other girls chat about that is a great support when you are at that stage. I'm in the TWW currently and will be having my BT tomorrow
To everyone else - wishing you all best of luck in your cycles at whatever point you are at. There are so many of your on your way which is great to see and hope to see many more of you in the TTW. You can do it. Seriously, you can!
jenc: welcome, yes you're in the right place. and i know how hard it is not to tell anyone. my sis knows and 2 other close friends and thats it. also dh of course knows. but it makes it hard. i hope you get some good results soon. these guys are great in here and good for emotional support.
