wow - less than half way through the month and onto number 3 already - we're either really busy, or really chatty (i'm leaning towards chatty!)
Ellie - BW has pretty much summed up the autoimmune problems - basically your body sees something that should be treated as natural, but is seen as an "intruder" and your body attacks it. in your case, there's a chance their worried that your body is seeing an embryo as a foreign/alien object and having an immune response to try to get rid of it - kind of like white blood cells fighting an infection - there are ways that it can be dealt with if they know about it (can't remember exactly what, but i believe they can try to "trick" your body into accepting the embie) - and the testing is fairly simple (just BT's i think) - we had testing done when we first started AC to check and make sure that my blood didn't have a hostile/adverse reaction to DH's semen) - hope they can get you some answers soon.
Rol's - i'm guessing most people use the CC thing to get going for the first cycle - we're in a unique-ish situation in that, when we need a biginjection of cash, hubby can go to work for his ex-box for two or three weeks and he earns up to five times his current income - so far we're only doing the IUI, which we can swing on our current incomes, but if it comes to IVF he'll definitely be going away for a while! we have spoken about me taking a six month leave of absence from work if we're told we need IVF - and both of us going on the road full time - will give us six months to get ahead financially, try for a natural miracle - and if that doesn't work, we'll have the savings to go through the IVF without money being an issue - but ours is definitely a unique situation! (and if i were to go on the road for six months, i think i'd have to invest in a really good mobile plan so that i could still go online for BB!!)
Mel - you don't have to sneak in and out unnoticed hun!! your input and advice is always more than welcome around here! am so sorry that you're in that situation of knowing what needs to happen, but not being able to take the next step forward - my heart goes out to you hun. just as an aside - which FS have you been dealing with - i don't often see people on here that are on this side of Melbourne (well, no further out then Pakenham anyway) - just curious as to who you see...
still not a lot to report over here - wishing i was having monitoring this month cos the pains in my tum are seriously suggesting i am about to, or have just recently, O'd - but i don't know for sure and it's driving me nuts!!! when i see FS next week, i will be CD20 - so i'm guessing if i let them know about the niggles they may do a CD21 test to check for o.... who knows?? DH is loving it though cos i'm not going to let the chance of O slip by without trying to catch the eggie!
