BG (and Sushee) - thanks very much for sharing your experiences. It does sound like that may be what is happening with my body as well... although typing this I am getting pain in my right ovary so maybe they are finally waking up (about a week late!!).
Anyway, will check back in later to see how you went with your appointment and how everyone else is doing. Thanks everyone for being there for me.
anytime Chez! - the ladies on here helped me to survive some pretty ordinary times when my cycles were going "not to plan" and i want to be able to pass on some of the info/experience i've gained to help others out (kinda like that movie "pay it forward").
now for my self involved post
went to the FS today - and i just love him! he is such a down to earth, jovial person and manages to make you feel that everything is possible! he's ecstatic that my body is trying to do it's own thing at the moment, so we're taking a break for the next couple of weeks to see if we manage to get UTD on our own! so that puts us in something of an unofficial TWW.
if AF arrives, we start the next stim cycle for the IUI. if she hasn't shown by CD28 i have to have a BT and check what's happening. i'm so much happier about "doing nothing" at the moment than i was 24 hours ago!
we had a big discussion about my last cycle and the fact that i had the clinic nurse very worried - had 3 good 16mm+ follies and 21 others between 11 and 15mm so she was very concerned about multiple pregnancy (yes please!) or developing OHSS - next time we'll use a slightly lower dose, especially considering my body is trying to do this on it's own....
roll on the start of july - one way or another, we'll be on our way again!
Chez im very sorry for your news hun, like some have mentioned it is very different for us all, but while we are doing the same if you get what im saying? I know that when you do your 1st IVF it is really a trial and error (really mostly are) but im hoing that the next protocol that you go with will give you much better results. Also did you discuss with your FS about the pain that you have been experiancing ?
BG- i know what your saying about DFS! my DH loves him! and was so pleased that i decided to return to his clinic, and keeps telling me 'we'll he has got you pg twice', im like i know but im still not holding my bubba! I so pleased that he said give it a go by yourselves for a month, you never know ive heard it happen so many times, maybe the last cycle was just a wake up for everything to start happening !!i was told by mac that your last protocol (the same as what im gunna do ) give you a less chance of developing OHSS? he does have me on a higher dose this time and last time i got 17 eggs and the time before 16 (gosh hope im not running out!!)
Well still waiting ...................cd 41 today

has mac mentioned anything about triggering AF for you lou? i think going through the protocol without the synarel was a much more pleasant experience (if AC could ever be considered pleasant!!) - i just didn't have the massive emotional ups and downs this time! hoping it works for you, and you get some nice quality eggies out of it!
FWIW - i've read a fair bit on here lately about immunoligy testing to find the reason why pregnancies aren't sticking - have you looked into any of this? i know you've been in the game so much longer than i can comprehend, so you probably have, but it just came to mind while i was reading your post...
oh yeah, one more thing - i'm BG, not BW hun!! she graduated already!
I did have some test done with MIVF and took all the results with me when i returned to Mac and he said that the FS i was under at MIVF he kmew and 'knew' what she would have tested for as it is her sig thing to do and said that he didnt tink it was nessassary!!!(bit put off at that poing) i did ask him about the baby asprin and he just said good idea ill give you a script and a script for anti for both DH and i before i start injections. I will be asking for a copy of ALL my cycles and egg colections soon from both clinic so that i can study them a little befor i concider giving DR Sacks a call, but first i will be quizing Ellie, Keen and Deb for all their advice, (if they let me )
it's all good hun! both BW and I are used to it now (you're definitely not the only one to make the oopsie!) - luckily neither of us is easily offended - i guess i just look at it that we're both difficult "patients" with lots of weird responses to meds, so it's no wonder people confuse us!!
i can understand wanting to get all your info together and work out where you're at - especially if you're considering contacting Dr Sacks for a consult - it's best to know where you're at! i find it very difficult at times to not have everything at hand so that i can work out exactly where i'm at in my own head! i'm sure the lovely ladies who've already consulted with Dr Sacks won't have an issue giving you the information you need to know whether that is the next step you should take. GL hun
Lou
Of course I'll be sharing what Dr Sacks says...if I get to talk to him? They still haven't got back to me with a time and he's meant to call tomorrow? Oh well...not like it's urgent...I'm just impatient. I've been doing my research into this immunology stuff...I am more and more convinced that this could be an answer for us...from what I've read if you've had more than 3 unsuccessful IVF or one blighted ovum or mc's (can't remember how many...but I'm sure I've had enough!) it's time to test! So it will be really interesting!
Thanks ellie and im wishing you get all the answers you are looking for with Dr Sacks and that it can too lead me in to some direction...... I have had some test done and thought i might as well post them in here for you incase you were interested
Here goes
ANA
Anticardiolipin ab
antithrombon 111
karyotype
lupus anticoaulant
protine c and s
prothrombin gene mutation
Plus some of the standard
HIV
CA 125
Hep B
Hep C (antibody to )
Varicella serology
THS
Prolactin
P4
Oestradiol
FSH
LH
testostrone free
SHBG
rubella
glucose
insulin fasting
All came back clear although my prolactin was raised and that was the only thing, even my NP picked up on that.
Hope you dont mind me posting them but i thpught it might help
Oh i forgot to mention I did talk to FS re: PGD but he said not to do it yet as my embies results are good at day 5 so he's not concerned
just looking at that list Lou - i think i've had most of the ones on the bottome half, but probably only a couple of the upper ones - i'm sure it's probably something to do with the repeated IVF cycles or something
interesting what different tests we all have isn't it?
The bottom list are the usual test that are done i believe and having changed clinics have had this set done twice - oh the joys and i hate having blood taken (after bad experiance with ectopic, rush surgery job!)
The top lot are for implantation falure, but worry that i might be missing something too and dont want to leave any stone unturned - thats why i feel BB is such a great place to gain the knoweldge through others travelling down the same road, and if i can give anyone anything that they havent tried and them to go on to be successful from that them i feel all the better for it.
i agree - sometimes just looking at a list of tests and going "yep, i've had those, but hang on, haven't had that one" can get you thinking about options.
hope you get to the bottom of things soon hun - maybe this new protocol will be the winner - truly hope so!

Hi BG - it sounds like you are happy with the new plan from your DFS - that is fantastic news. I was also interested to read about a cycle without synarel - oh dare to dream that that might actually be possible if this one gets cancelled on me. I am still holding out some hope as my ovaries seem to be particularly active tonight, with bursts of feeling bordering on quite painful. Maybe my body is trying, trying
Ellie - good luck with your phone call. I am sure you have written a long list of questions since you have been busy researching and I hope you get answers and a path forward.
Loula - thanks also for your info... there is just so much to learn in all of this!
Hello everyone, I'm back in LTTTC properly and actually able to post now that we have our internet up and running at a decent speed! I have been reading but not posting for the last couple of weeks.
BG, Yay at doing nothing! lol It's a good feeling knowing that you can just sit back and chill out for a bit before taking the next step. My FS sounds a bit like yours. Always positive and keeps telling me he will get me pregnant...I always walk away from his appointments feeling positive.
Lou, looking forward to being cycle buddies again!
I am currently on CD28 and waiting for AF to arrive at any tick of the clock. Then I will start the pill on day 2.
It feels a bit strange this time around. It's my 2nd stim cycle so I guess they think I know what I'm doing and I don't have to go into the clinic until I pick up my injections and pay in about 4 weeks. Last time, it felt like I had about 3 or 4 appointments before I even started the pill! It kind of doesn't feel like anything is happening!
thank goodness there is BB to help keep my sanity!
Welcome back, Megan! I've been missing you and wondering how you are going. I really hope this cycle is the one for you.
Funny thing... I've most of the blood tests on the top half of Lou's list, plus more - not that I can ever remember them. All done by my rheumy in the hope of identifying my weird arthritis thing... never happened, but we did rule out a lot of other stuff!
Ellie, good luck with the DrS phone call tomorrow. I hope he has answers and a way forward for you.
Chez, I'm hoping you're right and your ovaries are just a bit slow to wake up. Nice of you to step in and keep BG company now that I've graduated. Life is such fun being a problem patient.
