I am so sorry juniper. Give him some time, perhaps is just the shock of the news. If the dr has agreed with u having another iui it means that he thinks there is hope? Otherwise they wouldn't bother l guess...
I think l would have reacted like him, unless they explained me why we are having another iui if everything is lost. I would give him a few days to let things cool down... And l know is difficult, but try and stay calm, relax and think n the posibility of the miracle that could be at the monent in the oven. Sending hugs your way xx.

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping he'll come around, but have to consider he may not. He came back later and suggested we adopt instead, but I don't think he realises that's just as unlikely to succeed as what we're doing now and far more expensive. I think I'll suggest he look into it himself and let me know what he finds. And if he's willing to adopt, maybe he'll be open to adopting donor embryos after he's had some time to think?

He also accused me of thinking this had no impact on him. That really hurt.

Bunnyfeet, we had advanced testing done on DH's sperm and got some very bad results, so our FS is recommending donor sperm. Even IVF can't help with this particular problem. There is literally nothing we can do to improve his results.

So sorry to hear Juniper massive hug
My hubby has same problem and my FS has said his sperm is a huge worry. He said we could try ivf and see but we could be looking at the same road and my DH isn't really up for it either. So hard. Let's hope this IUI has done the trick it only takes one sperm! FX for you hun x

sneaking in *hugs * I hope you can both process the news and move forward. As above surely the fs would not be continuing with your treatment of it was a total waste of time xxx

Juniper- I think men just need a bit of time to adjust. I know if my DH were given news like that he would need months of thinking time. I hope you can both work through it together and keep hugging each other x

    Good luck everyone x
Afm- we caught O quite vigorously ;-) so you never know. Although I do know that it won't work, but you never know! Lol stupid ttc!

Oh Juniper I'm sorry DH didn't take the news so well.. Give him sime time and maybe he will be ok once he is over the initial shock. I have everything crossed that by some miracle your iui has worked Xx

AFM... Started Crinone on Saturday and eagerly counting down till Wednesday to have my little snowflake on board! I have not stopped stressing about my lining.. Anyone know if it continues to thicken while taking Progynova & Crinone? I'm scared cause I don't have another scan before transfer and I don't want to waste a blasty if my lining is not ready...?

Bunny- Nope I'm having issues with my lining being way too thin! Pitty I can't just take some of yours and fix the problem for both of us. What are they doing to thin your lining?

Oh if only! Not sure what's causing it. It may be a ghost follicle hanging around from last cycle causing my progesterone to rise too early and cause my lining to thicken too early. I have to freeze this cycle (if we have any to freeze) not sure what plan is if it's still too thick to do a FET

Jasmine - I requested another scan the day before transfer when my lining was only 6.4mm. After 5 days of taking progynova 2mg 3xday my lining had not changed at all - so I cancelled that cycle myself as didn't want to waste an embryo, the money & also most importantly the emotional side when it would have failed. It has been found out since then I don't respond to progynova very well though. You can always ask for a scan on Tuesday to see what's happening. People can get pregnant with thinner lining than 8mm but from beginning chances are less. I personally will not do a transfer if my lining is less than 7.5mm as have trouble with mine even with drugs to help. The only Bfp I have got my lining was 8mm and that's the thickest it's ever got to.

Juniper - so sorry your dh has not taken the news well at all. At least you have got it off your chest now & hopefully once he has absorbed the news he may change his mind about ttc. As the others have said there is always a chance it will work. Sending hugs your way Hun. Hopefully this cycle of iui had worked & you are pregnant right now.

Bunny feet - hope your fs has some ideas as to how to thin your lining.

Juniper - can you please change me to taking a break - waiting to see dr next week to see what's our next step. Why isn't this easier for all of us? It is just not fair!

Beau- I did think about asking the clinic for a scan tomorrow but when I spoke to my FS last week at my scan he told me not to worry and that my lining will be fine for transfer. At that stage it was 7mm and I was just over a week into my Progynova tablets... I'm taking 6x 2mg a day! If I get them to do a scan before my transfer on Wednesday can they freeze the embryo again if my lining is too thin?

Bunnyfeet, I'm curious to know what counts as "too thick"? I've been wondering about that. Mine was too thick at CD2 (ie hadn't fully shed) this cycle, but was supposedly fine at CD11.

Afm, DH asked a random question about donor eggs/embryos yesterday, so maybe he'll come around. When he's ready, I think I'll make an appt with the FS for both of us to discuss the various donor options. I don't think DH will listen to me and I don't know all the details anyway. I'm just hoping he'll agree to continuing the IUI for now...

Juniper, sorry to hear your news hun about your hubby, but l, like everyone else, hope that he comes around xx

Jasmine, GL with your lining and your FET!

    Hello to everyone else

I just called my IVF nurse as AF arrived today, so CD1 for me, on day 26. She said that they skip that AF as the first one after a stim and taking that synarel spray can be a bit off, and wait for the next one to do a natural FET. So no transfer till August, so over it!!!!!!

Juniper - I think your strategy of sitting back and letting DH process is a good one - FX he comes around sooner rather than later. I guess the fact that he is asking questions is a good sign

So no transfer till August, so over it!!!!!!
How frustrating!! Here's hoping it's a sticky one for you when it finally gets to be transferred!

I have had same issue on CD2 Juniper my lining is always 6-7 and my FS likes it to be around 4. When he scaned me along the cycle it seemed to thin out and looked good on scan (13.4) But different story on blood results. Seemingly I have a follicle that hung around from last month (functioning cyst producing hormones) that measured 29mm (rest were around 15mm) and as this folicle is so far ahead its causing my progesterone levels to rise too early and make my lining too thick too soon (its called premature luteinisation). Im wondering is this guy causing the problem each month with my lining being too thick. I have to freeze embyros and do a frozen cycle whenever my lining behaves it self! And pray we have some to freeze. So worried as we had none 2 freeze last round But good news this morning is we had a great number, 20 eggs 18 mature so should have lots to choose from! That's if my DH very dodgy sperm is good Much better result than last time and this time I took Melatonin, Q 10 weekly acupuncture and herbs. FX for good news at end of week!
