Miss.B all the best for your transfer on August, fx is a sticky one!
Jasmeen good luck tomorrow with the transfer, l will keep you in my prayers.
AFM, l went to the clinic this morning for another bt, the hcg still isnt 0. The nurse said that l will have to repeat the bt next tuesday, because today the hcg levels are 159. Going down too slow, last Monday it was 294 l think... Is this something to worry about? I am not planing to have a FET soon, but if l wanted, this would stop me? Or what consequences l could have, say for example longer cycle (My cycle is a 31 days cycle). I dont understand, l thought if l got my period everything would go back to normal, or the levels to 0.

CatyO, sorry to hear the hcg is dropping slowly. Sometimes it just happens that way. There is usually only cause for concern if it starts to go back up (suggesting retained products). Having hcg in your system is likely to delay O, but sometimes it doesn't. With a m/c cycle there's no "rules" about what will happen - you just have to wait and see. Sorry, hun.

Thanks juniper, perhaps it's only that lm used to have everything under control, know when lm getting AF, know when l will ovulate, etc and now... not knowing makes me feel unsafe?? What a control freak... hehe
I suppouse there is nothing l can do to help them drop faster? Only wait and see l guess...

I'm a control freak too, so I know what you mean. Definitely easier when you know what to expect and everything happens the way you expect it. To the best of my knowledge there's nothing you can do to make them drop faster, you just have to wait...

    Itskib pacific

I had a call from clinic nurse this afternoon, she said one of my embryos is size 18, the other two are size 12 and 13, she spoke to my doctor, and my doctor give two options, one is doing trigger tomorrow and egg collection on Friday, it maybe only one muture egg will be collected; the other option is cancelled the cycle. The nurse suggest me to cancel the cycle because she said I can do best than this according to the history. I called my husband and he said he should take the nurse's suggestion and cancel the cycle.... I am very upset... I don't have any luck for recent two cycles.

Catyo just thought I would pop in to let you know mine did the same with our loss last year, first bit went down really quick when I had the bleed and lost it then the last couple of hundred seemed to take ages. Doctors told me it could take a while. Hope it goes down a bit quicker from here on in for you hughug xo

Thank you kerbear, do you remember if you had a longer period, or longer cycle?

I keep thinking one egg is worthy to be collected or not, I still can use medication tonight and continuing the cycle. Does anyone can give me any idea?

Bestrong, the other option you haven't mentioned is to keep going with the FSH and try to get the two smaller ones to catch up. It may mean sacrificing the bigger one though. If you decided to trigger now, could you do IUI instead of IVF (sorry, can't remember if you have tube issues)?

Catyo I didn't bleed heavily for longer than normal but I did have brownish blood discharge for about an extra week which drove me up the wall but my cycle went back to normal and I got af 31 days after my huge bleed when I had the loss that day.

Juniper thank you so much, I think IUI is a good idea and I never think of it, but my husband's sperm count is low, however he has frozen sperm, I think I am still going to do the injection today and I am going to talk to doctor tomorrow. I never been tested for my tube because my husband's sperm count is low and mobility is not up to standard, doctor recommanded to do IVF. My doctor said the important one is the big one and the two small one might not become mature egg

Bestrong, all the FSs have their own style. I know mine would up the dose and try to get the other two because that's what he did for my April IUI. You can safely take them out to 24-26mm and still get a decent egg. Have a chat with your FS and see what they say. If you can do IUI a lot cheaper (eg ours is about $300 OOP, compared to $3.4k for IVF), then it might be worth doing the IUI instead, even with the low sperm count, and spend the big bucks on a cycle that produces more eggs. But if you're with one of the places that costs $2k OOP for IUI (ie almost as much as IVF), then the IVF will always give you better odds than IUI. And an IUI has to be better odds than cancelling...

Juniper, last time I asked my FS about IUI he said the chance is lower than IVF and he did not recommanded with my husband's low sperm count and mobility. But for this cycle is going to be cancel and I rather try IUI, but I am not sure my FS will agree to change to do IUI for this cycle.

Anyway, I have done my injection for tonight and leave everything for tomorrow. Juniper, thank you so much for the idea of IUI, you have a sweat dream.

Bestrong - I hope your dr agrees with IUI. After all it's your money and body. Good idea rather than cancelling.

Afm- I just hate seeing my cd days pass by with no intervention :-( grump.

Want me to start running them backwards? Or stay at 29, like my age?

Bestrong, as Will said, it's your body and your money. IUI has to be a better chance than cancelling. IVF may give you the best odds, but that doesn't mean you have to see it through if the cycle isn't going well.
