    Hi Ladies,

I had my FS appointment this arvo and things are looking promising. Got the results (and some pretty cool pictures) from my Lap. I will definitely be moving ahead with IVF next cycle, (down regulation) so will start synarel later this cycle. DH & I are just happy that things are moving and have something positive to look forward to!

Anyway I hope everyone is well and good luck to those undergoing treatment at the mo.

    Hey everyone

Thanks for always being here. Sorry I don't write too often.

Emerald Star – I went for a scan today (day 8) but no dominant follies, although one on the right looks bigger (and that is useless to me as no fallopian tube on right) so they have suggested another scan on Monday to see which side is dominant to see if it is worth getting a Gonal F injection to stimulate the follies, and go ahead with IUI. So, depending on follies, it could be any day next week.

Mitf – thanks. I guess I just worry a lot about everything, and the thought of daily injections scares me, and also what if the doc doesn’t do it all properly to make you come back again, and pay thousands of dollars every time… Why can’t it just work first time? And why can’t we all just fall pregnant. It’s so unfair! Great news on the promising results

Midhugs – my friend has suggested something called Diabecin. It is more for diabetics, but is supposed to be good to help thin the blood. Speak to your doc about it – or try cinnamon based things, as cinnamon is supposed to be good for that as well

Has anyone done acupuncture? And do you continue it during your FS treatment (IUI / IVF?) I did it last cycle, and I guess there is no way to say it helped, but I had 2 good sized follies on Day 8, but I was too scared to continue with it after the IUI…

Babytruj - thanks for the med advice. I've been having weekly acupuncture for over a year now and also had it either side of my TF this week. It's done wonders for my cycle, so I can't say enough good things about it.

Lil MHC - also thank you for your advice on Clexane. If this TF amounts to nothing I will most def be pursuing some alt drugs to aspirin.

INJECTION TIP - for all of those girls currently injecting themselves as part of their IVF stim cycles, I found that one of those freezer bricks that are used in esky's is great to numb the injection site - particularly for Ovidrel or whatever booster shot you are given. It works, so try it. The booster tends to be quite thick and can hurt a bit otherwise.

Have a good weekend girls. I'm on the TWW. My BT is 29 June.

    Hi girls,

Well, what a ****ty week I've had. First some personals!

Mindhugs - good luck in your 2ww hunny! Rest up and think positive. I have a clotting disorder (Factor V Leiden) which means I am more likely to develop blood clots also. Have you seen a haemotologist about it? Mine and my FS prescribed Clexane (yay, extra jabs - not) which I took daily while taking Puregon, then I also took for 10 days after my EPU. It comes in single-use needles so while it is another jab, it's not too bad. You do have to be careful and not rub the injection site or you'll get a massive bruise.

Babytruj - I've been having acupuncture for the last couple of years to help with stress and fertility. I just had my 1st IVF and I had the acu before the cycle (to get me 'ready'), then while taking FSH I had a couple of sessions to help egg development, then I had a session the morning of my transfer (good to relax you as well as get your uterus ready!) then I also had a session the day after, and a further week after that. Obviously you don't have to have quite so many treatments but I feel it really helps me mentally with stress etc.

mitf - glad things are moving forward for you!

krikkit - how did your appt on Friday go? Have they decided when EPU will be?

JBM - hope you are feeling much better soon. Bring on September!

juniper76 - well we are in the same boat aren't we? Here's hoping the next month passes quickly.

AFM - well first I got the BFN on Monday. Phlebotomist gives me the biggest bruise I've ever had from a blood test, which I subsequently have had to hide all week at work. Then on Tuesday the clinic call unexpectedly and tell me if I want I can go straight into another cycle. That is, when AF arrives, that is Day 1. They tell me my estrogen levels are low, and that they think this is an option for me given that I don't normally get AF without assistance.

So I think well, I think I can handle it. Plus a month just seems like such a long time to wait (as we all know). So on Wednesday night I start getting a few cramps, and then on Thursday have the worst AF cramps I've EVER had, in fact could hardly drive to work. Took some painkillers which worked after about an hour, but then I forgot to re-dose and was in agony 4 hours later. Ended up leaving work early as I couldn't sit down.

So Friday morning get up and (TMI warning here) pass the biggest clot ever. Like freaking MASSIVE and am secretly glad it happened before I'm in the clinic having my scan (how embarrassing would that have been). Get to the clinic and go in for my scan and they have some problems finding my ovaries, which they often do. Then suddenly they start talking about cysts. Yep. I have 2 'large' cysts on each ovary, up to 3 x 4cm in size.

    So, cycle cancelled.

Talk about a rollercoaster week. So now I am back taking Progynova for 3 weeks then Provera for a week to bring on AF and then it's IVF #2. Providing the cysts have gone by then. Has anyone else had cysts before? This is new to me and slightly scary.

Well - that was my ****ty week on the IVF rollercoaster. Looking forward to re-grouping over the next month and getting into a more postive head space .

    Thumbs up I'm back!!

Hi Girls!! I'm back! Missed you all!

Miss K, I'm sorry to hear about your ovulation... Be strong because things will work out for you! You need to keep trying! FS will have a great plan for you!!

EsmeraldStar, Loops12, Mitf and Hopes, you will have your cycle starting soon!! GL! you will be all fine!!

babytruj, Mrs P, JayeJaye, so sorry for your BFN, I'm sending very good vibes for your next cycle soon! Mrs P, I had a cyst removed from my ovary Dec/08. My FS didn't want start IVF until I had it gone naturally or removed by Lap, there's a risk of infection during EPU.

Krikkit, GL with your EPU soon!!

Mindhugs, Juniper76, baby2bee GL with your FET! I'm now on the same boat as you girls and can not wait to have the snow bub transferred!

I'm hanging in there... On Saturday I had a scan and my uterus lining was 7.7mm, which is not that great but close to the desirable 8mm. So FS increased my dose of Proginova (which is making me so nauseous... ) Still taking Synarel and started yesterday evening the Crenone. They going to thaw 4 embies today!! (and today is my B'day! so hopefully we will have a good healthy one in this batch as the best present ever!) Transfer will be on Friday and I'm very excited for it!!! We never got to this stage so it's all new for us!!

MrsP, sorry to hear about the cysts. FX they go on their own.

esperan, Happy Birthday! GL with the FET. We're not doing one yet because we only have one snowbaby and I'm worried about it not surviving the thaw. We're going to get some testing done this cycle and then do another fresh cycle in July or August.
