Shannon, I don't know your situation with AC as I haven't been here for long, but from your signature I can see that you've been TTC for a long time, and many battles. I had gone up to CD36 and stressed hugely about not having AF before my go ahead today for FSH - I really did struggle with about a week's amount of waiting for AF in my first ever IVF cycle. I can't imagine how it would be to wait for 48 days and after a number of IVF cycles already. You are very brave to get past your nerves to call you FS and I really hope that he/she has the answers you need atm. Very best wishes for tomorrow.
Thanks Tigger :) I think everything is going to move even quicker now!!

Hi All
Glad to hear everyone seems to be progressing well. Nothing much happening here at all. Just waiting for next appt on 22nd to see what the next steps are for us.
Though I don't have much to say, I am still trying to read each day & keep up with all of you.
Slyder - congratulations on your new appointment! Seems strange (in a good way) having a male moderator on a predominantly female website. Look forward to your continued comments & viewpoints.
Take care everyone & I hope you are having a great afternoon.
-
Shannon feel free to call me if you need to hun
-
Thanks Miss C waiting is always the hardest bit my longest ever wait was 8 months for AF and this one is now in second place, just wish she would let me finish off the year the way i planned :) Lol but as you well know with the wedding and the move and IVF that hardly ever happens :) Its exciting you are getting married so soon! Good luck hun :)
Thanks Linda :) That goes both ways! If you ever need to chat just call :)
-
TL you are so helpful and supportive to us all. GL for this thurs appointment. am so proud of you for facing that difficulty.
Peta, GL for the 22nd.
Miss_c yay for starting your stims hun. And this is the place to let it out if you need too. it is give and take when you can and where you can. lean on us anytime. there is so much emotion and expectation built into doing IVF that it is normal to not be coping all the time in every way. it is all new and information at your clinic is not always flowing both ways. it is frustrating not to understand why your body isn't responding the way you want it too. but the clinics know what they are doing so you do this in a partnership. lean on them too if you need to.
nicole, hun that must have been a shock today. i hope you get a good explanation as to what has happened.
melsta, i want that emoticon too! it is perfect for TTC folk like us. Yay for starting the stims. You may need to drink more water for that dizziness. GL for your BT on thurs. Perhaps find out what your E2 (estrogen) levels are to see how you are progressing.
mumma missy, what an early bird you have been the last couple of days. stay positive hun, your support groupies are not giving up. it is still too EARLY hun. if you get a HPT BFP it is fabulous if you get a HPT BFN it is too early. win win for you. still 6 days to go.
pam, mon, i can't wait for you two to start the stims. it will be just in time for a Xmas BFP.
mel, yay for the TWW. i have just jumped into that thread. i hope to see you there. i took pregnyl every second day for the 16 days of my stim and it definitely gave me vagueness and a little unwell.
kell, yay for you hun. 11 eggs is a great outcome and i have everything crossed that you have good fertilisation and can do an ET this week.
Deni, see you in the TWW hun.
BW, BG, shannon, slyder hope you are all doing well. BG are you starting this week?
we have a beauuuuutiful grade 1 blastie on board (BOB). in 4 stim cycles we have never gotten more than one or two 4 cells embies at the most, so you can imagine we are BLOWN away and so excited by this result. thank you thank you those who said to me don't listen to what the embryologist said after she wrote off all 6 of my eggs. our other 2 littlies are doing ok. 1 PCM and 1 9cell, we are growing them out until tomorrow and we hope for frosting!
-
woo hoo for the blastie on board dusty!
TL and shannon - all the best for your upcoming FS appointments - hope you both get some answers
as for me - providing my hormone levels from yesterday's BT are ok, i'll be starting stims on friday! yay
-
BG - Great news GL for Friday
-
I guess that really shows the difference between different types of cycles... I start stims today, but my EPU has been estimated to be at the same time as BG's. Although, after last time, I'm quite happy to be taking the slow and steady approach!
:hello: to all - just way too many people for me to keep up with my brain-fried state. I'm really struggling to string words together sensibly, both typing and speaking, I think I need a holiday - just way too tired to think clearly.
BW
-
Fantastic news dusty about BOB! I don't usually do this but what the hell, it can only help! ::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
Oh Dusty what fantastic news! BOB BOB BOB!! Go little BOB! And almost-frosties to boot - All round brilliant news! Very happy for you  Thanks for the support also - I feel so understood, supported and accepted just the way things are here, despite my stresses/vents :)
BG, fingers crossed that your hormones are set to go for Friday! Very exciting!
BW - I hope you're feeling a little less fried soon - that feeling over being overwhelmed even by words is the last thing you need atm. I hope you get a chance to rest *soon* and leading up to EPU and very best of luck with your stims starting today too.
Shannon, thanks hun :) You're a strong woman for hanging on with the waiting - it is the most difficult thing as you say. You're an inspiration.
Wedding update: Our ceremony is ready to go! Readings chosen, music chosen, vows chosen, rings chosen, groom chosen (LOL). Few finishing touches to go!
Hugs to all again,
Miss C
-
Wow miss C you can almost sit back and enjoy.
Where are you getting married?
-
BW - black duckies is going through the same clinic as me, so her epu is hopefully around the same time (being the country clinic) - she starts injections tomorrow, and has BT and u/s same days as i do! weird how the different protocols can make such a difference to the length of time on the meds, isn' it?
-
TL, we're getting married at a small winery on the outskirts of Melbourne, in the Yarra Valley. We live pretty close to the area (10mins from the winery), which is ideal. On the side of a hill with views of Melb city and suburbs and sunset. Should be lovely. Hoping everything will be done before ILs arrive from UK next Thurs! With the ceremony done it looks pretty much right to go now, so I'm sure it will be fine :)
-
Hi all,
miss c, glad things are running along nicely, sounds really nice and great it is so close to home.
I am excited I am getting to share this journey with quite a few of you, great to be able to bounce off each other as we get into the nitty gritty. As BG mentioned I start on 300 injections tomorrow, then it is going to feel like things are really happening, I am stressed, nervous and excited all at once.
Hi to the TWW girls and to everyone waiting to start again, hope things happen for you soon. Sorry for lack of personals, have read the posts, but having trouble retaining info, I think it is the Synarel. Catch you all tomorrow.
-
yay for starting tomorrow pam
and yay for starting today BW.
and yay for the wedding plans miss_c - they sound devine. (is it a yay for the ILs too? ;)
and yay for hopefully starting on friday BG.
kel, best of luck for the ET tomorrow if it is going ahead.
i just want to keep saying YAY!
-
Kell best of luck for your appt today
-
Oh Dusty you just brought the smile to my face i needed this morning, so i will say YAY for BOB!!
-
woo hoo - i got the green light! hormones are exactly where they should be, so stims start on Friday!
-
BG - Well Done
Shannon - GL with Appt
Dusty - How is BOB settling in?
-
Dusty - Well done, hope BOB is snuggling in down there.
BG - Good luck for your stim cycle, great news.
BW - Also good luck for this cycle.
Blackduckies - Woohoo on your injections, hopefully there are plenty more woohoos to come.
Miss_c - How exciting to have the wedding plans (and the groom ;))sorted.
Baby bliss - Hoping everything i going ahead and you are doing ok.
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well.
-
Afternoon All ....
Wow how this thread moves
Dusty - congrats so much hun on BOB - love the name!! Stick BOB stick .... Snaps to you for creating such a fine little embryo !!! Thanks for the tip on the water, my dizziness is shocking today and I am guzzling as much as I can plus I have taken to having sorbet in an effort to keep my body temp as cool as can be IYKWIM ?? Would that help ??
Miss C - wow almost all organised and now it is a matter of sitting back and enjoying the ride ... how exciting you have so so much to look forward to !! Your reception place sounds wonderful !
I am going to have to say a group :hello: to everyone I have missed and come back later ... my head is spinning and I clearly cannot concentrate ... I am off with the TTC Fairies or should that be FSH Fairies today ... la la la ...
Seriously though, good luck to everyone that had appointments today/yesterday and hope everyone is doing well no matter where you are at ....
Melsta xo
-
Hey everyone! Hope you are all well.
BG - excellent news re stims. Hope everything continues to go to plan!
TL - Best of luck for your appt with FS tommorrow.
Dusty - BOB is such a cute name!
Mel - just noticed you had ET on 12th - hope all is coming along well for you.
Question - have any of you experinced a period while being on the "active" pills? I have had spotting since finishing my last period & the nurse told me not to worry just stay on the pill, but now i am just really confused! Appt with FS not till 22nd......i just have no idea!
Enjoy your afternoon girls!
-
Peta, I believe spotting on active pills is common enough. A full blow period, I wouldn't have thought so.
-
-
Hi girls, thanks for the support. Dusty you have very good reason to be saying yay!!! I am sure you will be on a high for a while, fingers crossed 9 months.
Melsta, I will have to remember the FSH fairies because I get visits as well.
Peta, I had a bit of spotting in the second week of the pill, if you read the packet they say it is normal.
Mel77 thanks.....
Hi to everyone else, hope all is well.
-
Just a quickie from me, of my 11 eggs, only 2 made it, and they were not great quality. A grade 3 and a grade 4, so we had both transferred. I am ok about it, there will be a 2 month break til we go again if this is unsuccessful anyway, and I will be ready again by then. Hopefully, I will never need it!!
-
YaY! Kell Embies on Board happy for you and DH heres hoping a TWW ends in a rainbow for you
:dance::stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
-
Hi everyone
Dusty all that YAY-ing has got to be good for BOB! The more positive and upbeat you feel, the better. So you should! Oh, and it's yay for the ILs too - they're lovely, although we will be telling them in the next couple of days about IVF before they arrive next week.. eek! I'm sure it will be fine :)
Mel1977 Hope you're doing well today, hun
Kell & Shannon I was thinking of you both today at appointments / waiting for news. Hope all is ok and that docs are telling you positive things.
BG Great news for starting stims on Friday! There are quite a few of us who have started this week - lovely to have so much support around :) Hope the wait isn't too long for you till Fri.
blackduckies - totally get the whole nervous excited and stressed happening all at once, especially when given the go ahead for the next step. I've been like that since my appointment with the all clear for starting stims yesterday morning. Woke up this morning at 4.30am and couldn't get back to sleep - DF was very good with it ;) Synarel has been making me very vague too at times - tends to happen first thing in the morning and late in the afternoon. We'll be here for you, hun.
Melsta Have you spoken to your clinic about the dizziness, sweetie? Perhaps ask them about it if it is getting worse. Dizziness normally means (whatever the cause) that your blood pressure is low, so the water/fluids are good to pump up your blood volume to help with that. (Remember to drink gatorade/dehydration formula if you're guzzling so you don't upset your electrolyte balance too much - it's worse than not drinking enough). If you want to help with keeping body temp down, try an icepack/cold facewasher on the insides of your wrists/back of neck/inside ankles - icepack in particular is pretty effective, so don't leave it on for more than 10-15mins in a go. I hope you're feeling better soon, hun. Take care of yourself and keep resting xo
Managed the first injection ok last night - it was a bit freaky but should be easy after that! Been pretty headachey all day at work, but honestly I think it's more due to the lack of sleep with the wide-awake-at-4.30am-thing happening. Still very excited to be on the next step of the cycle, and really starting to look forward to the wedding now!
Hugs to everyone,
Miss C
P.S. Kell, you made it! It's the TWW! Wonderful news! Two little embies on board is brilliant! I know their grade is important and all, but you have two gorgeous little embies with you now! And hopefully you don't have worry about any 2 month breaks, or anything else yet, just the focus on your two little ones in the tum! You've had such a difficult cycle and I'm just wanting you to know that I really admire your strength and courage, through the last week in particular. I am praying for you and your two that the best result will be there for you in TW. Lots of hugs
-
Just checking in and wanting to see how Kel went today!!!
:dance:YAY You have two little ones on board!!!
Don't even think about the grades - or the fact that you lost the others.. Now just focus on those little ones snuggling in there tight - ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING is possible ;) xxx
Keep positive and nourish them with everything happy.
I think the most important thing now is to believe that they can make it... there are too many stories on here to prove that miracles can.. and have happened!!!
Congratulations to you and your DH - And I've got everything crossed for you for the 2ww xxx
To everyone else - Will pop back in later after Luke is in bed!!! :D
-
kell, sending you loads of :stickyvibesboy: go little embies go! what a cycle you have had. so glad that OHSS didn't rear its ugly head and you got to ET. you should be really proud of you
pam, thinking of you tonight. go the stims and bring on those follies.
miss_c, glad you too have lovely ILs makes weddings that much easier and GL with telling them about IVF. i am sure they will be glad to be here to help you two out. well done on the injections.
TL, BOB is doing great, DH and i have been having long chats with him welcoming him to a wonderful warm cosy nesting place that we want him to hang out with us for the next 9months. good luck for tom hun. also thanks for your message - very sweet of you. right back at you :)
peta, sounds like spotting can happen, try not to worry too much, and ask for a second opinion of the nurses if you are worried.
melsta, so that is where my fairies have gone! be gentle with them and i hope you are feeling more with it soon. although when you are pg placenta brain is something similar.
BG, awesome news!
mel, how are you hun? GL with your pregnyl shot tonight. i didn't suffer any real side effects other than vagueness/pg brain/stim fairies.
nicole, did you get an answer from your FS?
vicki, how you going hun?
MM, stay positive hun. i am being positive with you and for you.
hello to everyone else *waves*
xx
-
YAY!! Thanks guys! I feel good about it all, and I have a wonderful IVF hypnosis type cd to listen to each night. I listened last night even though it was pre-transfer, and its really positive, visualising embies doing their thing in there. I'll go with that positivity! Why not!?
Thank you so much for the support, you are a beautiful bunch!!
-
congrats on making it to transfer Kel - the grade of embie isn't important - they're on board now - and that gives you a chance that you wouldn't have otherwise had! good luck hun
-
You've had some very impressive pearls of wisdom lately, BG. :)
-
aw thanks Slyder - you've made me blush!!
-
Hi friends..
I have been referred to post on this board.. as i have just started my 1st fet cycle.. so, just pasting the content below:
My first FET is on. its gonna be a new experience even though i have had 2 fresh IVF cycles with BFN. I am on pill and lupride shots right now.. expecting to have FET during 1st week of December..
Dr. said during the scan that the pelvis area looks promising this time as there seems to be no cyst or any collection unlike other times wen always there were some adhesions (from my previous surgery), infection and other stuff..
Any tips which are specific of FET cycles are welcome...
Fingers crossed.... really hope it works this time.
good luck to all too..
-
Kell would love to know more about the IVF cd
-
Good luck, wannababy, and welcome.
I've had two FETs, but both have been natural cycles, no drugs to take at all apart from the ones I take for a few days at the beginning of the cycle to force my reluctant body to ovulate. Very different situation to the medicated FETs that most people seem to do. Not much to compare it to, really - I have never had a fresh transfer at this stage because I hyperstimulated quite badly on my first fresh cycle.
For everyone else... here's exactly what you don't want to have happen with your injections! BW's bruise. In many ways it's not as bad as it looks, but every time I sit, bend over or move in some way that folds me in half, it gets squished and hurts. You can even see some of my smaller bruises from earlier on. Did a lot better tonight, but I'm about to hand over the injecting job to DH. I've hurt myself too much and now I'm tensing up too much, which results in more hurting. Bugger!
BW
-
Holy crap BW!
TL, am I able to say here? Or am I able to PM? Not sure of how things work!
BG - You are right, I agree!
-
BW - ditto to kel, that is one mumma of a bruise from an injection. you poor pet. the most i ever got was a bit of discoloration. funny how we get so blase with injections (could never have imagined me being that but i did) to the point that sometimes i would have to redo as i stuffed it up, especially when tired and stressed. i even did an OD on lucrin last cycle one night....GL BW's DH :)
yay for joining us here wannababy!
xx
-
Thanks butterfly...
Lemme ask u one query... u said "but both have been natural cycles" ... could u explain this.. sorry if i sound too stupid.
I guess u mean that the actual body process goes on its own and in the right time they do FET.. am i right?
in my case, dr. said they dont want me to ovulate this month.. instead they will give me estrogen supplements.. so this is a medicated cycle right?
