Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception Nov 2012

Thanks ladies. My parents are on holidays in NSW and my sister lives in Sydney. DH's mum is in the middle of moving in with DH's youngest sister and DH's oldest sister is moving into their mum's home (and is 25wks pg with her 4th child, so, as much as I like her, not really the company I need right now). DH's middle sister is gallivanting around Canada with her fiancé and his brother and SIL work full-time and are very busy. Which is a long way of saying, I can maybe get some help from MIL next week (final moving day is Sunday). We've actually been asked to go to MIL's house on Sunday to help with the final day of moving, but I wouldn't be able to get up all the stairs to get into the house, so I'll probably have to stay at home while DH & DD go to "help".

Nothing to lose- i have an appointment with fs sat will see him then

AFM have 4 fertilised the other egg was inmatture so great fert rate now really praying they are good quality and start growing as they should...

AFM- 1st day of puregon tonight! Yay!
U/S booked for Tuesday and start the orgalutran on Tuesday- not looking forward to Orgalutran, gave me a bad heat rash last time :(

oh Juniper as soon as I read your post I wished I was close as I would be happy too offer help (as I am sure many ladies here would out they could) men can be so annoying sometimes. I think I missed out what happened to your ankle but it's so horrible to be stuck unable too drive and not help :-(

I got a call from southern health again Wednesday to say we were on cat 2 list however though its meant to be 90 days, it's lovely to be about 200 days. I think once we see New fs we will just book it and get it done. I have too try and get our history sent to them before the appointment but I think after a year it would not be a bad thing to get an updated ultrasound etc

it's funny how every month there is this tiny part of me that thinks I might just possibly be pg, damn you false hope lol! why can't the blokes understand the emotional parts?

kbudgie - I was a category 2 as well and was waiting 7 months for my surgery! That was in Ballarat though... I hope your wait is much quicker.

I'm back - well had EPU on Wednesday, 9 eggies and 6 have fertilized. Amazing considering last time was shocking with not many fertilizing at all. DHEA, COq10 and HGH have really made a difference this time around. I don't think I ended up with as many eggs as last time as they were too scared to over stim me. This time I also did puregon, cetrotide and ovidrel.

We still agreed to put back one frozen and one fresh - as we still have one left from my daughters batch. So maybe a baby for christmas... not asking for much! lol Transfer will be Saturday as the frozen embie is a day three.

If this one doesn't work - we will be having a big break at least till Feb next year - maybe even March as hubby is away in the middle of Feb.

I will catch up as soon as possible with everyones status.. but I hope you are all doing well and getting lots of good eggs!

kbudgie, I had a fall in the resort carpark when we were packing the car to head home from our trip to Coffs Harbour. I need to come up with something more exciting, like yak racing in Nepal or bungee jumping in NZ or trapeze artist lessons or the test flight of a home-made flying machine...

Seems Wednesday was a very busy day for this group. Keeping FX for everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up with personals for everyone, but I am definitely hoping that your cycles are successful.

Sorry for the selfish post but I just had a call from FS with my blood test results and while my cycle isn't cancelled it is on hold. I'm shattered, I was so excited for EPU on Monday and now they said I have to "coast" due to hyperstimulation. No more gonal F at the moment, just synarel and another BT on Sunday. FS is going to call on Sunday and let me know if the cycle has to be cancelled or if I'm ok to trigger. FX it will work out ok but I'm not familiar enough with all of this to know what to think & I'm not the most patient person so Sunday seems like a lifetime away to know whether this last 40 odd days have been a waste of time :crying:

Faye, I've seen plenty of ladies coast and have their oestrogen levels drop (to reduce the risk of OHSS), so FX it works well for you as well. Will be hoping for good news on Sunday.

Hey Faye my levels dropped overnight by quite a lot so fingers crossed for you.

I called this morning check on embies all 4-5 cell but grade 2 below average so bummed just can't seem to win with this! Sucks losing hope

krikkit - welcome back, goodluck with your transfer. glad this cycle worked out better for you.

Faye, I had my drug level dropped and then I was coasted when my E2 levels rose really high and never dropped even with the coasting. In the end they did the EPU coz I had absolutely no signs of OHSS but they wouldn't transfer just in case. From what I read, OHSS is pretty nasty, even mild cases. I hated to hear it but the FS, nurses and hubby were right - it is better your body is not pushed too far. GL babe, you are in my thoughts. I hope you get good news on Sunday.

Juniper, how about you hurt your ankle while attempting a world record tight rope walk over the Grand Canyon?

Sorry I've been MIA lately, I've been super swamped with uni placement, getting a job, my never ending struggle to lose weight and trying to have a life!!! Lol! I have been checking in on you all though!

Update for you lovely ladies!!!
I named my 2 visible follies this morning, Bob is on the right and on Monday was measuring 7mm and Jim is on the left and was measuring 8mm... I had another scan today and Jim has been a good little follie and has grown to 10mm!!! Bob however, has been very very naughty and has not grown...

FS has now increased my dosage from 75 IU to 100 IU in hopes of having awesome growth and looking at trigger next week!!!! Eeeekkkkk!!!! xxx

Afm - all my hormones are looking good but lining slightly thin. So have to start progynova tablets tomorrow & also have trigger shot tomorrow morning. So transfer is going to be Friday next week.

Just a quick question my dr has prescribed 3 tablets of progynova a day. I just picked them up and the chemist said its a very high dose. What have you all had to take before? I will try ring fs tomorrow morning to make sure dosage is correct.

My dr was actually in the clinic this morning & yes it is 3 a day. So taken trigger shot & 2 tablets so far today. Come on lining thicken up so little ice baby can implant next week.

I spent my TWW absent from the forum coz it was so hard to keep my mind off it all. Had my pregnancy blood test @ my clinic today ... BFN unfortunately ):

I had a big cry, mostly out of frustration than sadness or dissapointment. Im doing ok tho, i had already made up my mind that it was a neg coz DF & I only DTD once due to his operation. Taking a break now coz i wont fit in another cycle b4 my clinic closes for xmas. Seeing my fs on Dec 14 for review & start fresh in the new year. But for now (or for tonight anyway) my bff & i are going out on the town ... Bottoms Up...!!!

Sorry for no persies.... As i said b4 i have been absent & i have alot if catching up to do. Hope everyone is doing ok !! Big big love xxoo

Hmmm just an all about me message today - sorry... Had very very slight spotting yesterday and thought it might be over for me this month... Then POAS'ed today (11 days past transfer) and have a very very very very faint 2nd line after 3-4 mins. I don't have a test to compare it to, and can't remember if the field is totally white, before you start the test??? Now we'll have to wait and see if this is because it's a chem. pregnancy and already declining, or another slow rising HCG or just a late implanter... Blood test is on Tuesday and we're just going to wait for that now, no more POAS'ing for me. Last IVF cycle I had a very faint 2nd line after 10 mins, 10 days past transfer and this finished in a missed m/c, so you can imagine me being very nervous.

Cd 1 for me after 72 days! Very frustrating. Can someone please add me to the list?

Well very disappointing result for me today, my cycle has been cancelled. Now have to wait until after Xmas for next cycle as FS is closed until mid January. Might try for a natural miracle in the mean time - can't hurt right?? So Juniper you can change me on the list to waiting for AF if you like.

Faye, sorry to hear your cycle was cancelled. I was hoping you'd be able to go ahead. Sounds like there's a few of us waiting for late Jan now (I don't see us doing anything before then with the Christmas closure and my Dr's holidays in Dec & Jan).

Hi to everyone I have missed I hope your cycles are traveling along as planned.

Afm - dh and I just had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Ballina taking our new 4wd on the beach, of course he managed to crack a side step and scratch the mags lol.... I was expecting it!!!
I take my last estrogen and progesterone tablets today, then a week more of testosterone gel, then I start my injections and clomid to grow my follicles. I hate this long cycle. To make matters worse I have not been to the gym for about a month and have eaten rubbish and have put on 5 kgs, I am going back tomorrow cause I feel disgusting!!!!! I don't know how I used to cope with another 19kgs on this!!! Oh well need to fix it can't change that I put some back on. I never feel myself on a cycle and let everything else go as a result. I have been an emotional wreck as well which doesn't help.

How you all had a great weekend and the storms floating around have not affected any of you wherever you live xo

Total me post. I am taking a double dose of synarel. Four sniffs a day and i am really struggling with my emotions. I am snarky, sooky, angry, sad, irrational, depressed. I really hate it. oh, and i am utterly exhausted. Bone tired.

will it get better when i start stims???? Please say yes.

Mine got much better once I was off the Synarel N2L. I was a complete B**ch when I was taking it :(

Yeah it will be better.... Just a different kind of pain then! Remember even without the physical stuff just the emotional things associated Ruth this cycle will be overwhelming for you. There's a lot if pressure riding in it, so be kind to yourself and make sure you do some things you enjoy as well xox

Sorry, N2L, but I only had relief once I stopped the synarel. On the plus side, you know the days are numbered once you start stims, so hopefully that will help a little (ie knowing the end is in sight). I had a terrible time on the normal dose with my first IVF - dizziness and impaired cognitive function - so much so that I had to reduce my work hours from full-time to 3 days per week and I couldn't drive. I know how nasty it can be and I'm sorry to hear you're having such a bad time with it this time. Of course, that was the time my (old) FS went on holidays, so I was on it for 32 (very long) days...
