Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception Nov-Dec 2012

Myturn - I had a bit of bleeding this time but by the time I went to sleep last night it was gone. Maybe something different this time might be a good thing. My theory is if its the same as when it didn't work then I might not have as much hope.....if something is different maybe it's gonna work.
I must say you and I are so alike, my DH got me red rooster yesterday to lmao, cracked me up when I read your post!!!!
I agree with you saying we shouldn't have to go through all this....it sucks being put through this pain, hopefully it will be worth it for us xoxo

N2l - hope everything has gone smoothly and you are feeling ok.

Vic - sorry you have ms but glad it is comforting at least it is reassurance this are moving along as they should be xo

omg Kerbear - that is hilarious eating RR at the same time love it was telling DH last night that I seriously wanted that trip to brisbane to meet you sometime soon..... I'm working on it lovely... xxx

n2l - I'm glad you got 7 at least, sorry it wasn't more though hope you feel better quickly - lap surgery to get your little eggies would suck - rest up and get your lovely DH and baby girl (whose not really a baby... but...) to look after you xox

myturn, I had bleeding after 1 of my (5) EPUs. No bleeding for the other ones. If you're not in any pain and there's no signs of infection (eg fever or funky smelling discharge) then you're probably fine. You can always call your Dr's office if you're worried though (trust your instincts).

N2L, sorry to hear you ended up with the lap retrieval. I hope you heal quickly.

As for the codeine (ie panadeine) issue, it's a bit of a grey area for pg. My GP said it was okay when used sparingly, but not proven to be completely safe. However, it is on my clinic's "safe" list for during IVF cycles and I always used Panadeine Max after my EPUs. So, I'd use it during the 2ww no problem, but I'd only use it as a last resort after a BFP.

I'm not worried exactly.... just annoyed..... just an added frustration at something that we shouldn't have to be doing anyway....

they had me taking panadine for the OHSS and it was a godsend, but yes, I wouldn't be doing it much. Just needed a bit of a boost earlier, and it should all be okay by friday (FX) so I can't imagine needing it again - and if I get OHSS again I will be rather peed off!! I think because I am not doing the pregnyl it won't be so bad even if I do get it.

anyway.... DH has had a lovely afternoon digging up the rest of the back garden which is the last bit to be finished so we can start doing the 'final' things before we are ready to sell. yay! (hopefully I can help keep his motivation, but I can't help him now (which was why I pushed for us to start a few weeks ago so i could help... and now he has to finish it without me!!))

*hugs* hope you recover quickly from the lap, it is amazing how extreme the treatments we need are (and the tests) compared to what our men have to 'endure'

Maybe that is proof they are the weaker sex!

it was n2l who had the lap, i just had standard EPU but that's okay....

DH actually said the same thing to me earlier today.... when I apologised for putting him through all this he just said "it's you that has to do it all" love him xx

    Miss B,

I just wanted to drop in and send you loads of love. I guess the things really worth having never dome easily

I'm not sure if I am allowed to post in here anymore or not? My beautiful twines are 3 months old today - but it feels like yesterday in was in the tww... I think IVF is one of the hardest things anyone can ever do - and I believe the couple that undertaken the journey are special, strong and deserve their dream. I hope for everyone here it comes true.

I wanted to respond to the codeine question.... For various reasons I had a very hard and painful pregnancy - my MFM (OB) had me on panadeine forte until the day the girlsmwere born - from 18 weeks. At times I was also on oxycodone and Ativan for extreme anxiety caused by twin to twin transfusion syndrome. I am not usually a fan of this medication but inwas reassured that an expert could reassure me that there was no risk to my babies.

We all have different opinions on this - I just wanted to let you know that, that's what i had to do to get to 33 weeks - and the girls are perfect (still tiny) but hey - I've always believed size doesn't matter

    I wish you well ladies...

    Sneaks out

    Xx

Good luck for fertilisation rates myturn & n2l.
Myturn I had bleeding for a day or so after epu - I was given panadiene forte for the pain too. I did have 19 eggs collected but was actually feeling so much better once they were out & was able to eat again as wasn't bloated so was a happy girl. Didn't take any more than a day of pain killers.

My bt results were inconclusive as i have very small amount of hcg in my system but low progesterone (near baseline) so need another bt Friday. Doesn't look good for me - I know it's only my second cycle but when there is apparently nothing wrong with me I thought this one would work. Sorry I know many of you girls have been doing ivf a lot longer & still no luck - I am just winging. I don't know how you keep doing it - I admire you all. I just hope af hurries up now so next cycle can get under way. Needs to come by Monday at the latest otherwise we will be taking a break.

Beau30 - FX for good news with your blood test tomorrow!
Juniper - How's the ankle going??

Sorry to anyone i've missed - it's so hard to keep up! AFM nothing new to report. Just waiting for "O" now should be another week or so. Appt with FS on 19th Dec due to start the pill as of next CD1 ready for next IVF cycle. FX I don't need it and I fall pregnant naturally. Who knows - the endo has been removed and with DH's low count it only takes 1 to do the job!
