Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them.

As it's easy to forget to remove your ticker, please be advised that we will remove it for you if it's posted in here. Just easier, is all.

    Hello girls

    Thanks for popping in Bel

Hey Smithy, hope those little ones are settling in for the long haul. Wishing you all the best of

Wishing baby - I hope everything is okay come monday

Mrs M, good luck to you too

AFM: Saw the FS again last week and he agreed with only one frostie in the freezer, it may be worthwhile to go straight into another fresh cycle, so that's what we are doing! At the moment, we are DTD and trying naturally, but will probably be back on the synarel again late next week after the first blood test. Fingers crossed.

Anyone else had a quick break and straight back into another cycle? Any negatives/positives?

Hi everyone... Hope you've had a great weekend.

Smithy, Best of luck in your tww. It's such a long journey from the start of the cycle to the final bt. Hope you get some fantastic news soon!

Wishing Baby, Hope your eggs are behaving themselves and you get your bfp before christmas.

Mrs M, your 6 weeks will go by quickly.. this time of year always seems to gather speed!!

Neptune, good luck with your next fresh cycle. Sorry, I haven't any experience with quick cycles back to back.

Lilmisshavachat, wouldn't it be nice to work naturally... Fingers crossed your lap gives your body the chance it needs to conceive on your own!

AFM, AF has finally arrived. I have been waiting very impatiently for her to show up so I could get started on a FET this month. BTs begin on Nov 13 and we go from there! I'm excited, I finally feel like progress is happening.

    Hi girls-
Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend.

I am headed to FS this morning for our first scan. Hopefully he'll be able to give us some good news, and start to plan our EPU for later in the week. This is my first cycle, and I know that everyone is different, but do you girls know what is considered a "good" cycle? Around 12 eggs? I'm hoping to get some frosties too this cycle.

    Have a great day!

    Wishing everyone good luck.

Neptune - I did back-to-back flare cycles. The reason for this was as follows: 1 - I had no luck with my first cycle and only 1 frozen remained, 2 - I was afraid that 1 frozen was not enough to do a natural, 3 - I was going overseas for what would have been the cycle after the natural cycle and I didn't want to lose 2-3 months if my frozen embryo didn't make it. My FS was willing although she did say that it's very hard on the body and the results may not be that good. As it turns out, none of the embryos survived from the 2nd of the 2 back-to-backs so we reverted to using the frozen embryo. As it turns out, that 1 frozen was my lucky one. I don't think there's a right answer and it's so easy to 2nd guess your decisions. However, I have to say, I felt a bit more in control of a completely uncontrollable situation by making the decision about how I wanted to do my cycles. Then again, my FS seemed to be right about the results of the 2nd of the 2 back-to-backs.

    Hi Girls

I'm at work so sorry for no personals.

Had my scan today and the technician (spelling??) was new. I took me over 30 mins for a scan that generally takes 10 mins. Then I get to the clinic and get told my lining is 8mm not 9mm as it needs to be to book in for the transfer . So they wanted to rescan on Thursday, which doesn't work for me as it is Oaks Day and half the staff in my office are going to the races (not me I have to be at work). So another scan is scheduled for Friday and hopefully a day 3 transfer next Monday.

I asked if I could use my day 5's, but they said that they always use the day 3's first as if they don't make the thaw then you can always use day 5's in the same cycle. But if I choose day 5's and they don't make it then the cycle has to be cancelled. I just don't know what to do..... They don't even thaw day 3's and let then grow to day 5 to see if they are good or not.

I'm feeling really low at the moment, and am already fed up with the whole process. It seems that when everything starts working to plan then some obstacle gets in the way.

that the scan on Friday shows the lining to be 9mm or more as I don't really want to wait too much longer. Today is day 14 in my cycle, so by Friday I'll be at day 18 and day 21 at transfer. So if this cycle is too long and it doesn't work, I probably won't get another in before Xmas.

KellyD - it sounds as if you've only talked to your ivf clinic - if this is true, have you thought about talking to your FS to see whether you can come up with a situation that you are more comfortable with. All your concerns are legitimate and they should at least be willing to take your concerns into account.

    hi girls

just quickly poking my head in to say hi.

kelly - i hope your lining works out. hang in there, it is very frustrating, but i'm sure it will all be great for a ET this month.

AFM - grr, frustrated - very unsure where I'm at this month. I thought I ov'd, but now I'm not so sure as CM is increasing?? Today is CD25. I just really want to know where things are at, so I can start planning (mentally) for the FET next month...I really hate all this waiting.

    Hi KellyD,

That sounds really frustrating. I am surprised that they are unwilling to grow the day 3s into day 5. However from my memory you have exceptional embies, even the day 3 ones. I think it is pure misfortune that your last transfer was unsuccessful. Remember many people have a BFP with a day 3 transfer so I don't see any reason why you wouldn't. I only raised this other possibility because you have so many frosties. Don't stress out too much hun. I am sure it will turn out. I am for you for this Friday.

Possum, I feel so much for you. I actually spent the last hour reading through your pg journey in the other other subforum.. feeling very sad for you. Doesn't it sucks that although m/c in early pg happens to 30% of women... as LTTTC why does it have to happen to us! Sometimes I question why God punish us so.... doesn't the fact we have trouble getting gp in the first place is heart breaking enough? anyway I shouldn't blame god.. God, don't know why I am having a venting session here.... must be all that pent up emotions!

To everyone else, good luck. Lulu, am having my fingers cross for you.
