    Good evening ladies,

Its 11pm and I have just had my final "trigger ovidrel " - at this point I have done all I can and now it's up to the FS to do her part, I pray it goes smoothly at the scan b4 the epu, I am not allowing myself to get excited until I hear those words - prep her for theatre ... Please ovaries be good to me

JBM: I read your post yesterday and have been thinking about you and DH comments to you, and how sad that must of made you feel, and I hope since then he has come and given you a big cuddle and you have spoken some more, DH/DP can be wonderfull caring creatures, yet sometimes they seem like they are from a completely different planet, they dont have the coping mechanisim's we do, sometimes I keep some worries to myself about this TTC journey, I dont want to over dose him with too much info, because although I live with a beautiful man who loves me and would do anything for me, it can just become too much for them, I am not speaking of course about all DH/DP, but of my friends we find this to be true at times, give him some time, he might come round, your having a rough time right now, it can only get better xx

Paula : Good luck for tommorow - I wonder if you will get much sleep tonight

Welcome Bub4me & DrGirl72 - Looking forward to getting to know you

21ttc - where are you - I hope you are going ok

ontrak - sticky vibes for you

LNB - fingers crossed for you

And to all the other ladies - so many to mention ( I need to get a printer and print the reply's so I can send more personals ) thinking of you and your journey

Have a lovely week ahead, and thank you so much for your best wishes for Tuesday, you are all so supportive

Bub4Me - welcome and thanks for sharing your story. You must be so excited to finally be starting IVF after so long TTC!
DrGirl72 - welcome to you too

You have come to the right place, there are plenty of wonderful people in here (a bit hard to keep track of at times); I'm more than halfway through my 1st IVF cycle and there are other "first-timers" in here too

Busy day Monday ... Paula - good luck with your ET tomorrow and see you in the ; wishingbaby - good luck with your BT tomorrow ... hope the outcome brings you what you want for this cycle
Tuesday is looking like a big day too - good luck to all those who have momentous events on Tues ... smithy & wouldloveabubba - hope you bag plenty of eggs in your EPU; LNB - good luck for your BT
JBM, Jodie - sorry to hear that this wasn't 'your' cycle ...
curlygirl - hope your tww is going OK, keeping busy ...
MrsM - I'm not sure because my story was different, but I think they might still want to do the U/S to make sure everything else looks good ... I hope someone else who's had tubes clipped can provide you with a better answer than that???
Ruth08 - you poor thing, you have such a long wait ... is that just the way your clinic does it? are you on any medication still for this cycle?
Possums, MrsP, Kahlan, Cuddlepie, babytruj, shelbee, KellyD, Neptune, Mels77 - hi

thanks so much guys, as you have notices my mood has moved from depressed to sad, so a step in the right direction.

luvabub: thank you so much for your loving words, i know men are different, "they're from mars" after all and i think when dh is tired we all feel it. good luck for your epu, not long to go. make sure not to do anything afterwards, as you feel ok but it will hit you later on. i felt so tired and drained of energy. i'll be thinking of you.

rachel: thanks so much for your support also and everything, good luck for you too.

bub4me: welcome to this crazy club?, well maybe thats just me? anyway hope you're not here long and you get that BFP very soon, good luck.

smithy: not long to epu hope all goes well for you. good luck

hey everyone else: hi to you too.

afm: well i am feeling better today and making plans with dh for next FET. i think he says a lot of stuff when he is tired and i know he loves me lots. and at the end of the day i know we will have a baby. i have to have hope.
i will be calling the clinic today and letting them know and i want to see if i can do another FET this month.

    Hi guys,

This is going to be a long post.

thanks guys for all your support and well wishes but af has arrived and i did a test and got a BFN!!!!!!!!
I am sorry JBM. I was told men have their own way of coping (or suffering). Throughout our journey, mine hadn't said much but yesterday out of the blue he said "sorry". I asked him what for and he said that it was because of him I couldn't be a mother as I hoped. I told him not to be absurd and that when we have our little child and when that child misbehaves we will curse the day we had so desperately wanted "him" or "her".

Hi All, after our first FS appt in may this year we are finally strarting our first ICSI cycle. Today is CD 1, we are doing an antagonist cycle, so I start injecting tomorrow. Am nervous and excited! This thread seemed to be the best place to post re going through first IVF cycle, thanks
Welcome DrGirl. There are those of us who have been on this road for quite some time now so if you have any questions, I am sure these lovely ladies are more than willing to help.

    hiya girls
this may seem strange but i need to ask in regards to the u/s do i need to get it done if you have had your tubes cliped?

    sarahxxx
Hi Sarah. I think you will still need to check out your uterus just to make sure IVF is the right way for you. Good luck

MrsP happy anniversary. I too have my anniversary, 3rd, coming up and i thought we would have had a bub by now. Oh well. All in good time.

I have my ET booked in for 9am tomorrow. I was told yesterday that our of the 10 embies, 7 were still looking strong however 3 had slowed down. I am just praying like crazy that i get some to freeze and a super dooper one to transfer.
    Good luck Paula

Possums, MrsP, Kahlan, Cuddlepie, babytruj, shelbee, KellyD, Neptune, Mels77 - hi
How are you going? This is the best time to get DH to do things for us while we are in the TWW. My DH cooks during this time, so that I can get all the rest I need (truth be told I don't need to rest be it makes him feel he's doing something so I let him).

To everyone else, hi and hope you well. Thinking of you all.

Hi everyone...there are so many in here now it's hard to keep track. Wishing you all the best on this journey....wherever you are up to

JBM- glad you are feeling better...a bit better anyway.... my DH has sometimes reacted so differently from me I have felt pretty alone, but then we usually end up talking and sorting through it eventually...they really do handle things differently to us. I hope you can do a FET soon

    Paula- hope ET went well!

wouldloveabubba- hope those ovaries produce lots of good eggs for you!

DrGirl- welcome and good luck...this is a supportive place with lots of good advice

LNB- good luckl! hope you are hanging in there OK

and to everyone else....sending you all the best xx

    Good afternoon everyone,

I'm very knew to this so don't know all the abbreviations yet but can guess most!

Just to give you a brief overview, I have been through a rough time with OHSS and had a fresh transfer just over 3 weeks ago. I have been hospitalised twice because of my sever OHSS and after 4 blood tests, am still waiting to find out if my transfer has been successful!
My oestrogen levels were less than 350 in my last test last Wednesday and if they have not sharply increased (I had my 4th test this morning) than they don't hold much hope. I had spotting last wed and again today so I have a sinking feeling that things are not right.

If I had known better, I would have had a frozen transfer. The pain and worry of OHSS is too scary and emotional to go through again. I had 22 follicles collected, 1 x ET, and 7 more are frozen.

Is there anyone else who has been through anything similar?

    Regards,
    Spring

I just wanted to drop and say hello to everyone, I am thinking of you all. I'm flat out at work, so no time for peronals plus there are so many of us now!!!!

Welcome to the newbies - I think Spring, bub4m, drgirl!

Hello to everyone else, all teh best for the girls havign epu tomorrow - I think Smithy, I will check back in tomorrow.

Everyone else, keep up the good/hard work, it's great to have this place to be understood!

AFM: not much happening. BDing in a timely fashion just so I feel like I am doing something. hasn't worked in 3 years, so don't know why I"m bothering, but I would rather have hope and the feeling of trying. I see the FS this Thursday to discuss the outcome of my failed cycle.

spring- welcome...sorry I havent been through anything similar

neptune- I know what you mean...we cant resume IVF until Jan, but will try naturally before then....I only have one tube left and it's in bad shape...but hey, miracles happen I figure and I like to feel like I am doing something towards the cause

    paula- good luck!

    hi girls

possums and neptune - your posts made me smile. i'm doing the same thing (trying 'naturally' this month) and day dreaming about the miracle (and irony) of conceiving naturally after having gone through ivf... hopefully we all become that miracle!

AFM - assuming my 'natural' efforts are to no avail, DH is going on a work trip and then I'll be praying for a visit from AF in mid-Nov so I can start a FET.

    hope everyone's well

    Hello Ladies

So many in here it's hard to keep track.

Sorry no personals, I'm at work and having a breather so will catch up on all your stories soon.

AFM: No much happening. Upped my progynova tabs yesterday to 2 per day to hope my lining gets nice and think. Scan next Monday (2 days later than should be because of the weekend) and should be getting booked in for the FET for next Friday 7/11. My FS is so wonderful, after our BFN last Monday he rang me at home at 8.30pm to hope that I was o.k and to plan for the next transfer. I've never had a specialist call me at home, and in his own time as well. It makes me feel so nice to thinks that he is on the journey with me and that I'm not just another face (or another "girly bits"). Anyway, have been flat out at work and DH & I are house hunting as well at them moment as we are renting and I would really like a place of my own to bring our bub home to when he or she finally joins our family.

Good luck to wherever everyone is at the moment. The old timers & newbies alike, I'm think of you all.

    Hi Mels,

DH and I actually BD during this FET cycle.. we thought.. what the heck.. maybe we will be luck and get twins ( I only have 1 embie transfered) even though we only have 2% chance of natural conception. so yes, BD away people. If it doesn't come to anything at least we enjoyed it...lol..

ha ha, that is great girls. what i absolutely love about that is that, despite what we've all been through, we are all inherently positive and optomistic (if not, then none of us would be BD'ing in the hope of a miracle!)

    so get busy BD'ing.

    love to all
