N2L, thanks. That's not the one I was thinking of, but I think it's worth adding to the list. Your have reminded me that I've read a few things lately about non-PCOS ladies taking it to improve egg quality.
miloro, were you on any progesterone? If not, then 8dpEPU is not unreasonable for AF to show up. Especially with the OHSS and stress to the ovaries. I can't remember, will you do a FET straight away or wait a cycle?
I started taking the met at the end of October last year. I did a stim mid December and my eggs were better quality than they had been previously. Who knows if the met contributed
Eta- Miloro, my first stim I had a D&C at EPU due to mucous in the uterus (hey that rhymes ). I got AF eight days after.
Thanks Juniper and N2L. With luck they let me go straight into a natural FET this cycle, that's what the nurse told me. The doc said I might be able to do that, it depended on how I went after the epu. I was fine, no ohss symptoms.
Morning girls. So DH and I have had time to get our heads around the different cycle I seem to be having and I think that its a good thing (got to stay positive right???). The other ones have not worked so maybe I need a shake up and get a few AWESOME eggs. Who needs another 17??? We only need enough for a transfer and a FET in December if need be as we are pulling the pin and moving on. That will make 14 months pretty much back to back cycles with a pg thrown in the mix. I am done. DH is done. And the bank account is soooooo done! Just going to sit back and let the universe decide if we are meant to be birth parents this life time. I am sick of pushing and controlling it all. Well, the little control I do have anyway lol. So we are holding our breaths and waiting to see what the universe decides. If no earthside bub for us I am going to be mighty p****ed though
To all you girls creeping up to 40 dont let it get too close before you decide to move on and think about donor eggs/ donor sperm. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have gone straight for donor eggs. I know its not the same, but i figure i can sure love a bub growing in my tummy, even if its not my egg. My desire for a baby far outweighs the tricky bit of it not being my egg. My ego got in the way though and I thought since i was undiagnosed it would happen. My BFF went through IVF 8 times, slow swimmers, endo, arthritis, you name it they have it against them and now have a precious DD. Last stim, one embryo, bled all through the pregnancy but now happy and healthy 3 year old. I thought if she can get pg then so can I. Same FS even. But here we are looking down the barrel of it not happening. *sigh*
FX it may still happen for us yet. We are still technically still not out of the running. So come on universe...BRING IT ON!!!
