Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
No chance it's a chem pg - haven't O'd since May. Ever since the first annov cycle (June) I've had this pattern of a week of spotting/bleeding before AF, but not the prolonged and heavy AF like this time. In fact, last AF barely lasted 24 hours of proper bleeding (plus a few days of spotting)... I asked my former FS about it at my post-lap appt and he only suggested doing a monitoring cycle, but then didn't want to see me until CD12 (Tuesday next week) so I'm still debating whether it's worth the hassle...

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Has anyone heard of people going overseas (Bali) during a cycle? It'll be (probably cd 3-6, so in between scans, etc. My clinic thinks they'll either put me in jail or confiscate the drugs.
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard Pholi! I just came home from bali, I was over there from CD 4 and arrived home on CD16. I am doing a natural FET and they managed to catch ovulation in time when I returned home, so it was different to a stim cycle. As long as your doctor writes a letter stating that you need the medication for ivf purposes then there is no reason for them to take them off of you. People travel with all sorts of medication including heavy sedatives and as long as they have a doctors letter then they are fine. xxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Pholi, see if you can get some official advice from our government (maybe start with Smart Traveller?) or maybe the Indonesian embassy? Fertility clinics are not experts in overseas travel...
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Caty, hang in there hun. GL with your test on Sunday
Juniper, could you please put me down as CD1 today.
Ladies, I'm doing HGH injections via a pen, 4 injections 2.5 ml each I think.....it just loads like a normal gonal pen doesn't it? I'm due to inject on Sunday but have to phone the nurse at a certain point tomorrow with questions if I have any..So far instructions read similar to the gonal pen where you dial the dosage?
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Pholi I had to travel with meds before (although not to Bali) as long as you have a letter from your doctor on hand you should be fine. It is a good idea to check with smart traveller though.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
Thanks ladies. I called the consulate. There's a well-established protocol, although, like all Indonesian processes, it's long-winded. Letters, photos of the drugs, with and without the boxes, include the needles', and my name on the label, passport, flight details, $25, come back the next day for a letter.
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception October 2014
I'm glad you've sorted that out Pholi, that nurse was sure silly. No one would be able to travel with medications if she was right!
PlanetSasha, it's called Simzen or something, but the pharmacist managed to find a much cheaper brand called SciTropin A, it was $370 for a vial that will give me 4 shots, as opposed to over $900. The syringe looks similar to the gonal one, just smaller and it's not pre filled, I have to put a little glass vial in, so I'll just follow the instructions. Thanks hun.
Amy, you are funny, although I am not surprised! lol. 3 more days and I think you'll have an indication. FX!
Caty, how are you going hun? GL if you are testing today.
Girls, just a quick question, do I inject going by the new daylight savings time? I did it at 9.30 am yesterday. If I inject at the old time it will be 10.30 the new time. Gosh I've just confused myself.. It says to inject at the same time each day.
