emerald - not sure if this is the info you are after, but both times i got a bfp it was with a day 2/3 embryo. one was 8 cells, one was 6-7 cells. unfortunately didnt work out, but a bfp is a bfp. i have since had 3 blast transfers that havent even registered a blip on the system. i am seriously considering going back to 2/3 day transfers too.

Andie78 - I have had 8 fresh cycles with 1 BFP. All have been blast transfers.....I'm thinking of trying something different....well i know I can get to blast, because i have been left with either 1 or 2 each time and always transferrred what was left.....( 6 out of 8 times it was x2) not very good odds, if blasts are the way to go....thats why i want people to answer the question for me, just so I can get some stats...and a BFP is BFP! (although i am sorry for the m/c)

Where are you located...sorry to ask.

    Hello ladies

I have been silently stalking you all and trying to work out if I belong in here or not (please let me know if I'm not).

DH and I have been TTC since April 2010, last year we went and saw a FS where it was determined that while DH swimmers are relatively fine, but I have poly-cystic ovaries. I tried clomid for 6 months, which worked but still no pg. We then put actively TTC on hold until after we got married, and last week we went back to see our FS. Forms have now been sent off for me to be put on the waiting list to have a laparoscopy done to see whether my tubes are clear etc. FS also thinks I may have endometriosis as I have started getting bad period pain ever since I went on clomid. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long, waiting sucks!

Good luck to everyone wherever you are in your cycle.

ETA: Nire! So sorry to see you still TTC!

Treenie, hi and welcome! GL with the lap. I had my second one last month. I hope you don't have to wait too long.

Vic, I've already told you our plans for BD before the FET. Last time we thawed 2 embryos and only 1 survived; this time we only have 1 embryo. Do you know if your embies were frozen using vitrification? If so, they have a very high thaw success rate. Unfortunately, our embie wasn't frozen with that method, so we're facing the lower thaw success rate... There's a whole lot of things to consider and if your initial reaction was to not BD then that's probably the right option for you.

Em Star, last time we transferred a 2-cell grade 2 and 4-cell grade 2- (grade 1 is best, grade 3 worst) and one of those became DD. So, she was either a slow-growing average quality or normal speed below average quality. I never expected that transfer to work.

Just a quick one for the coQ10 girls. Woolworths has Swisse 150gm half price until next Wednesday. So it's about $15 a bottle of 30.

Well we are going ahead with day 3 transfer its a 7cell grade 3 out of 4 which is great. I feel much better and the FS has agreed to no pregnyl just pessaries as support so I don't develop secondary ohss. We have two still splitting and may not make it to day 5 but we will see.

Sorry for the selfish postings ;( hope you are all doing well will catch up more once I am back home and relaxed

Krit that is awesome. Your going to be PUPO. Yippee!!!

Thanks N2L for the CoQ10 heads up. I did see in the Terry White Chemist they are $17 and I thought that was cheap. They also have Blackmores Pregnancy Gold 180 tablets at $30 which is half price.

Juniper - I am not too sure how ours are frozen...hmm...something else for me to stalk now I mentioned to DH that we could BD with a condom, he wasn't too impressed lol. I hate giving it up Still its all for a good cause, god willing.

Just thought I'd mention that My Chemist has a tub of 200 capsules of the CoQ10, 50 mg, at $20. So even though I have to take 12 a day (they are very small) I have 16.6 days worth out of the tub, and I'm taking 600 mg per day.

Krikkit, was thinking of you this morning, so very glad to hear you're feeling well enough to proceed. FX for you!

N2L, hmm, may have to go to woolies. Target had Swisse 40% off again today (deal of the day), but that woolies one is definitely better!

Vic, my SIL works for a Terry White so I'll have to let her know what I'm after and ask her to warn me when they're on special! I never think of them as a "cheap" option.

ok.. lets try to catch up.. firstly.. YAY! my avi is back! whoot.. ah the simple things.

vic261 - hope it happens soon, I hate being a pin cushion too! About DTD.. we are not allowed. Which doesnt bother me one bit.. I have enough going on up there to have him poking around too is not fun.

treenie86 - waiting sucks, and you are in the right place. We are all waiting for something to happen!

Emerald Star - I had a bfp with a 3 day embryo scoring 3 out of 4 (which is good at my clinic) but not sure how many cells it had - it possibly is in my blog. If that ever works I will let you know!

AFM - pupo... yes! my little day 3 is on board. I am drinking gatorate and eating salty foods to keep the ohss at bay. I wont know till Tuesday if any of my remaining eggies make it to blasty. One has been dividing nicely but has 11 cells, which is a bit of a problem, they dont like uneven numbers when it gets to double digits.

My FS was a PITA. he was about to cancel on me this morning he was concerned the OHSS had damaged my lining and wanted to to an internal ultrasound. WITHOUT LUBRICANT! ****. if there is nothing worse then your legs up in stirrups and 4 nurses peering at your *needed to be waxed* vagineeee.... then to be told no lube, cause they dont want to compromise the embryo if I do go ahead! I was in giggling fits, I had clearly lost all dignity and modesty. You would think I get over it.. but no. Anyways, everything looked ok, my ovaries were enlarged and I still had some fluid, but nothing like I had before. My cervix was a bit bloody too apparently.. which is odd, cause I don't think they touch the cervix during EPU. No pessaries but I will be doing pregnyl. Not happy, but they are monitoring me closely before injection to make sure I wont OHSS. bloods in the morning - injection at night.

Cross fingers and toes this baby sticks. or I am calling it quits and buying a dog.

    Welcome treenie.
Sorry to hear you've had a rough run krikkit. Sending sticky vibes.
