AFM, am trying not to feel a little down, while I have 19 follies growing, they are still too small, (from 8mm to 15mm today, day 12) I was supposed to take the trigger tonight for EPU Wed, but they have pushed this back by 2 days. I have to continue with the injections for tomorrow and Wed morning. I am really praying they will be the right size to trigger then. Grow eggs grow. FS has said that it is quite ok to go the xtra 2 days of stims, to get the follies the right size. I am tring to be positive. There goes my plan of trying for ET on DH's birthday. Oh well, best laid plans...

Baby Dreamtime - for my last stim cycle I had my EPU pushed back two days as well, due to the "small" size of the follies. I had 9 which ranged in size from 8 to 16, but with another two days of injections before the trigger they did grow and at EPU 5 little eggies were collected. So stay positive and healthy - they will get bigger - KEEP ON GROWING LITTLE FOLLIES
TLO - so very sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and I do hope that they find out whats going on asap. Hope you are better today.
Wishingbaby - the waiting must be awful for you, make sure you take care of yourself and have a little pampering, it will help pass the time.

hi my name is lydia and I have been looking at these sites for ages and finally decided to post! im 21 and been with my partner for 3 years we are both professionals and are settled so before i go on i dont want to hear the your too young business or u should be married because ive heard it all before no offense! it took 15 months to get pregnant the first time but had a blighted ovum and the sac measured 8 weeks! i had no bleeding or cramping so i didnt find out til 12 weeks it was so awful walking round for 3 months with an empty womb. i chose the d and c as it had not passed after 4 weeks and it was classed as emergency. i never got follow up bloods to measure hcg or a secind ultrasound and i wish i had now for piece of mind as i have a retroverted uterus and sometimes wonder if maybe just maybe there was still a bit of hope. BUT i will never know! my cycle is always exactly 28 days even one month after d and c i was back to normal! it has been another 6 months and im sick of getting negatives! my partner is healthy and im a bit overweight but have recently lost 5 kilos and hopefully alot more! we both dont smoke or even drink! EVER and still nothing has happened. im sure i ovulate as my cycle is clockwork. ive finally made an appointment for my partner to get his sperm tested and bloodwork so hopefully it will rule some things out. I never thought i would have so much trouble i want some answers so we can save for ivf or adoption and have a good 20 years to work it all out. im soooo frustrated im a nurse and see pregnant women ALL the time! and i still cry often especially now as my due date was november 17. the only thing i can think of is i caught clamydia at 17 and it took 3 lots of treatment to cure it but i never got PID and doctors said it wouldnt be that but im still worried as i could of had it for a year as i only found out when my partner had symptoms and we both realised what had happened. My partner is gettin a semen analysis on wednesday and we are getting a fertility review at monash ivf on the gold coast and im nervous yet excited to get the ball rolling. ANY help or advice would be great or to talk to someone going through the same thing!

I am really sorry to hear about your loss and frustrating time TTC. Believe me, we all know how you feel. Sounds like a good idea to get DP tested, fingers crossed for good results there. Not sure if you have had any tests yourself? Might be time to find a good FS and do some further investigation. The only other things I would suggest trying is TCM (traditional chinese medicine) and perhaps Sharkey's Healing Centre (they are based on the Gold Coast). Good luck, wishing you all the best.
Thanks heaps no i havent had tests thought id get my partner cleared out first then thats 50 percent of the issue gone! haha and its easier for him i will be getting tests soon though. I am currently trying out for med school and have decided to be an RE now! I hate seeing us women struggling and would love to achieve pregnancy not just for myself but others like me. Will keep you updated thankyou for the warm welcome!
Hi and welcome to BB. I am so sorry to hear about your loss and your struggle with TTC. I am relatively new to BB also and I highly recommend it, everyone in here is just so lovely and welcoming, it can make you smile by just logging on
It also helps to discuss your feelings and where you are at with others who know exactly how you feel. I would find a good FS and get yourself some tests done as well as DP, just so you can find out exactly what is happening. Shall keep my fingers crossed for the both of you. Good luck.

Welcome to our group, we don't judge we just support, I was your age when I first started trying to concieve with my ex-partner, however it turned out he wasn't interested in becoming a father so rather then have all the tests done to help us out he left. Now I have been with a wonderful man for 2and half years who wants nothing more then to have babies with me, we are not married and I think that is the norm these days. I am sorry to hear about your loss but I believe it makes us stronger and more determinded to achieve that BFP we so want. I think you are lucky to find out now if there are any issues as it gives you extra time for success. I hope all goes well with your boyfriends tests and you get your answers soon.

Millymoo- I hope the little ones are growing nicely for you. I find the waiting on the embies pretty stressful too. I make the clinic call daily with updates!!
Ruth- I love your comment about DH..."tough biccies to him". You made me laugh and a laugh is always good. Glad you liked the acupuncture. I LOVE IT!! I am so with you on the uncomfortable business. I feel pretty c#@p today. Am very uncomfortable too. Hope you do ok over the next few days.
Neptune- Hope the TWW is an easy one for you. Congrats on getting another little embie to freeze at blastocyst. It only takes one and you may not even need to worry about the little frostie (except maybe for the next litle bub!!)
BDT- I know how frustrated you must feel right now. You just want things to happen as planned. But it is so much better for you now and for your little embies, to get the follies the right size. I will be thinking of you, and wishing those follies will grow like mad over the next 2 days. We will probably now be doing EPU on the same day, so I can drive you crazy in the TWW thread!! BTW...19 is great!!

Lydia- Welcome to you. Everyone here in this thread is on a different journey, but we all have a common goal...a little baby. No-one here will judge you on your age or marital status. You will be welcomed with open cyber-arms!! I hope the tests DP is having done are helpful to you on your TTC journey. I have to tell you about a course Monash runs. You may already know about it. It's called Healthy Lifestyles. It started last week and runs for 9 weeks, but I'm sure if you are interested, you could just start this week. It runs on a Wed night. It basically teaches you how to live a healthy lifestyle and what things you can do to enhance your chances of hopefully falling pregnant. I've been TTC for 2 years now and have been through IVF for 1 year, and just in the 1st week of the course, I learnt a lot. If this doesn't suit, or interest you, you'll find all the staff there very helpful. Let me know if you ever need anything.
Smithy- Oh my friend who ALWAYS make me giggle! You and I are a lot alike. Only, you say what I think! That's it for us...no more AF for a long long time...at LEAST 10 months. I've had enough of her too!

AFM- Day 7 of Gonal and day 3 of orgalutran today. Scan and BT today were good. Have 11 follies ranging from 12-15mm. Am so so so damn uncomfortable though. Thought there must have been at least 100 in there!!! Something about the number 11 for us. 1st EPU-11, 2nd EPU-11, now scan shows 11 again!!
Am having another scan tomorrow morning, then EPU probably Fri, maybe Thurs. DH is going away for work on Fri, so Thurs would be better, but I've got to follow my body's lead!!

Hi Lydia.. I'm so sorry for your loss.. I'm pretty new at all this as well and will post later about my stuff but the clymidia part of you story caught my attention. I had a Laparoscopy and other exploratory surgery last Tuesday and I had scarring on one of my tubes which was from an infection. I had undiagnosed Clymidia for a few years, by my calculations.. My Dr thinks this scarring and a little Endometriosis could be what has delayed us becoming PG for the last 18months.. Just something to consider... I'm seeing the medical director of Monash on the GC Dr Korman.. I've found him absolutely awsome.. Good luck and I hope things go smoothly for you.. By the way the ladies here are awsome and I would have been a gibbering wreck without this site..

well finally got 1 little embie on board after a bit of a false start this morning - rang the clinic to check on progress, and they said that the embies werent as developed as they expected, and they'd put me back a day, what a mess i was... luckily the nurse went and double checked for me, and the strongest one was getting towards blastocyst stage.. the other 2 didnt make it, so no more frosties for me... but I won't need them right!!@@! Spent the day with acupuncture and sleeping, that makes for a very nice monday!
So will join Brooke, neptune and azzrenae in TWW thread, and millymoo soon as well. Will check up on you girls soon.

I am back and ready to start TTC again... I had my 2nd visit at my FS since we lost our much loved little bean and GUESS WHAT I have a follicle of 1.5cm that I produced on my own *first ever ovulation that I did without injections or anything* so I go for bloods tomorrow and if its not going to make me O then we will do Clomid till Feb then get my ovaries drilled then if that fails we will have injections *praying that I don't end up with severe OHSS* and do a transfer that way!!!
Also I did an OPK this morning and it was positive *Another First time* we bd'd last night too so here's to hoping
I will be doing more and more personals as I get back into the thread and get to know some of you again xxxxx

I know what you mean, i went from 3 eggs on my first cycle to 19 on my second cycle and was super excited thinking that from 19 eggs, surely i wouldnt have to do a full cycle for a long time, if ever again. Well unfortunately only 1 embie made it to the 5 day blastocyst stage. azzrenae congrats and best of luck in your TWW TLO sorry, i cant help but i really hope you get some answers soon Ruth my DH thought the same about the acupuncture, its all a myth and a big waste of money. Must be a men's thing..hehe I too didnt feel much different after my sessions. I have decided to give it a miss this cycle and see how i go. Neptune Its wonderful that you still get to freeze one embie. Hopefully you wont need to use it any time soon. Smithy i too hope this is the last AF for 10 months for you. Baby Dreamtime fingers crossed that your eggies keep growing over the next few days. Lydia good luck with your DP's tests. I personally think it would be a good idea for you to get checked out too. It doesnt hurt to have some answers. This journey is not easy, i too get the, "Don't worry, your still young" comments allllll the time and it really annoys me but you learn to ignore it. Stick around in this thread and you will get loads of support and lots of helpful info from all the lovely ladies in here who are in the same boat.
